Where do I start? Circa is an absolute hidden gem with exquisite food and charming staff. It is somewhere we go when we fancy a run out and the food never fails to delight. We’ve had lunch (perfect seafood chowder , salmon mousse wrapped in smoked salmon spotted with green peas was a delight to look at and tasted amazing! coffee and cake (lemon drizzle is wonderful ) amongst others. Today’s delight of the day was the most perfect homemade raspberry jam. Bright, sparking with flavour like summer in a jar. It was amazing. The owners are lovely and happy to chat through the recipes and inspiration behind the flavours. Highly recommend a visit to this relaxed and welcoming place. A visit to the antique centre next door makes for a perfect day out.

We stopped here on the way to Falkirk to see the Kelpies, the staff were very pleasant, we both had mac and cheese with fries and the quality was excellent and had cold drinks, no room for cake as we were full ! Reading some of the other comments i would agree the prices were a bit more than you can get elsewhere but i would definitely go again if we were in the area, the attached antique centre is a alladins cave and covers a large area and worth a visit.

We had spotted this place on the way up to Killin and decided it would be great to pop in on the way home for breakfast. Needless to say we did not order any food on principle as the prices were shocking. £10.50 for eggy bread, £16 for a breakfast and to top it off it was £4.50 for coffees, we didn't even get a biscuit with the coffee, my husband asked for hot milk with his and got cold milk. They should not be allowed to rip people off like this. I work in a tea room and I am fully aware of prices and profit margins. This is extortion to the highest degree. Would not recommend at all and will definitely not visit again.

Since this is a cafe we expected a variety of food including sandwiches etc. There were only soup, mains and desserts available. Because my wife is diabetic and has a small appetite we decided to share a main course. The food was greasy and well overcooked, 1 piece of fish & chips, and we weren’t offered any sauces. It was edible but not what you would expect for £18.00. However the shocker came when we got the bill. £26.00! They charged £8.00, £4.00 each, for 2 diet cokes, not bottles or cans but made from syrup! We were chatting with some tourists at the next table and they said they only had a coffee because of the prices. They planned to go elsewhere for lunch. As a Scotsman I was embarrassed because people, especially tourists, were being fleeced. This café should realise short term gains are only short term. They will never see these tourists again and you can bet they’ll warn their friends. We certainly will never use the cafe again and we will also tell our friends! I honestly believe the Scottish Tourist Board should be informed!

Used to visit this venue with friends pre Covid and it was excellent. Sadly one of the friends passed away. Went back today and the 'experience' was not as good. The staff are very welcoming and attentive - better than before actually. The food though,,, one had the Haddock, Chips & Peas. Asked for the Chips to be separate, thankfully as the Haddock was very oily & dark in the middle. Reminiscent of some Frozen fish. Chips & Peas were fine, but at £18 for this quality very overpriced.. The Ham Hock Terrine was delicious albeit an additional 2 Oatcakes would help. Good value at £10. We both had the Sticky Toffee Pudding, which was as good as previously. The wine at £7/glass is a bit steep although I suppose in line with similar establishments - at least it was good wine. Coffee was also really good.

We were visiting the neighbouring antiques centre and went into Cafe Circa for a bite to eat. The place itself was nice enough, staff were pleasant, however I would have to say that everything on the menu was well overpriced for what it was. They obviously have a captive market as there's nowhere else really in the nearby vicinity to go for something to eat but I don't really think that's justification for the prices that are being charged. I'm afraid I won't be visiting again......certainly not value for money.

We visited on Sunday at lunchtime and the cafe was very busy so we sat outside. With a wheelchair and two small dogs it was also an easier option, although the cafe is dog friendly. My husband had an open chicken sandwich topped with bacon which he enjoyed. Dad had the soup, which he described as ‘watery’. It certainly looked that way and for £5.50, something more substantial was expected. I was looking for a vegetarian sandwich and asked for cheese. What arrived was two doorsteps of bread with some grated cheese, carrot and lettuce in between. No side salad, crisps or the usual trimmings you might expect. I was very disappointed, but when I looked at the receipt on arriving home to check the cost of the boring cheese sandwich, I was actually quite disgusted to discover it had cost me £7.90. And for £3.20, my husbands coffee was cold. I started by saying the cafe was busy, but that’s no excuse for overpriced, underwhelming fare.

Service was however efficient and the staff pleasant and helpful.Cant have it all I suppose!!

It was a lovely day, with an option to sit outside. We decided to sit in and the table was spacious and comfortable.

We had lunch at Cafe Circa during a visit to the Antiques Centre at Doune. Service is prompt and friendly. The food is excellent. On this occasion, we both opted for Steakburgers. These appear to be handmade, and are perfectly seasoned. Would definitely recommend

My wife and I drove out to Doune and stopped at the Arts and Antiques Centre and had a light lunch in the Cafe Circa. Pleasant staff combined with tasty food made for an enjoyable lunch. Cakes looked great but we kept it light and stuck to the soup and baked potato options. Tasty and hearty enough for lunchtime eating. Fuelled us round the many displays of antiques. Well worth a visit if in the area. Display areas are all indoors and covered so great just in case the weather isn't the best.

My husband and I stopped for a coffee after visiting the Antiques Centre. We had two coffees and one scone and it came out to over £8. I thought that was a bit over the top for what we got. We'll give this cafe a miss next time.

It's a very nice restaurant alongside the antiques centre. We had 2 coffees, which was good, and a slice of pear and chocolate cake (total £11.40). Staff were very nice.

Food was nice, and staff very attentive. Most options for lunch were overpriced which limited choice and made for a more expensive than planned outing e.g £9.90 for a cheese omelette and side salad, chips are extra.

We had a family lunch here before visiting the centre. We had 2 children in tow but we got a table without any bother (it was reasonably busy). They had a children’s menu and our food was good and served in reasonable time. An ok place for lunch (though we were not as impressed with the arts title of the centre - plenty of antiques but we did not see much art).

Cafe Circa provides a useful function. For those visiting the Antique Centre it is well placed for a coffee and snack. For those wishing more the menu will meet the demands of most.

After remortgaging the house we decided to get some lunch at the Snack Stop. We had lots of money in the bank and decided to use as much as possible. Suffice to say we weren’t let down. Upshot is if you want a ridiculously expensive lunch on paper plates and cardboard cutlery then this is the place for you. £6.50 for a box of 6 sad looking nuggets , £9.99 for a baked potato with 2 fillings. Keep driving past so your kids will get some Christmas presents this year.
