The City Walls in Stirling

We came in for lunch and to watch the rugby. It was a really fun afternoon and we found the atmosphere really good and the staff really nice.

A really lovely place... Really made you welcome with a dog as well...if we ever venture into sterling again will definitely go again...

The food is simple pub grub, nice and straight forward, in expensive. Plenty screens for football and a good variety of beer, what more do you need. 🍺 🍻 🍺

Dissappointing. Meat in steak pie was very dry and chewy.

The staff were very friendly and the food was good and well priced. The pub was welcoming and clean. The service was very good.

My sister and I enjoyed a lovely get together here no fuss no hassle .Hi only gave you a 4⭐ as I never went to toilets but I did return with my sister and mum only thing I can say is please highlight the steps down to bar area as my mum has sight and mobility issues so when we arrived it was bright outside once we got her up the steps she couldn't see the steps down to bar area food and staff great toilets lovely so 5⭐ all round .

A solid pub, drinks have an alright price, there's a couple pool tables, a variety of screens showing whatever match is popular that evening and usually quite a good atmosphere unless they have a DJ in when you might as well be in Fubar for all the conversation you can have.

City walls is a great place for a lot of different reasons, food, drink, playing pool, enjoying spending time with your family or friends. It is a warm place to visit and a very comfortable place to meet your family and friends. Please give it a try because you will not be disappointed.

Decent pub in the city centre. Fair prices and decent atmosphere. The Thatchers apple and blackcurrant cider on draft is worth a visit alone.

Great place to go for a few beers/ pub geub and a chat-good pub grub at that, too. They are dog friendly, which is really nice. Theres some bowls/treats/ throws for them to use at the entrance. Staff are friendly and a good selection of beers.

Why is this such a good deal? Great lunch specials too. Katsu chicken fries are my new favorite lunch. The barkeep was a lovely girl who knew all the brew and even let us try a cider sample before fully committing to pints. (>'.')>

Popped in for lunch, previously been here for drinks only. Historical pub with a friendly bar staff and customers. The outside area was open for use with a big TV.

If I could give negative stars,(especially for Sophie) I would. Stepping into City Walls like entering a time capsule, but not in a charming, nostalgic way—more like stepping into a forgotten, filthy corner of the 1980s that should have stayed in the past. From the moment I walked in, I regretted every life decision that led me to this establishment. First off, the smell. Imagine a blend of stale beer, damp carpet, and something vaguely resembling wet dog. If this place has ever seen a mop or cleaning supplies, it's been at least a decade. The sticky floors made every step an adventure, as if the pub was trying to keep me there against my will. The service? Non-existent. The bartender looked like they were *personally offended* by my presence, as if I'd interrupted some very important brooding session. It took 15 minutes just to get a drink, which came with an eye roll that could have been seen from space. Speaking of drinks, I ordered a pint, and I'm pretty sure it was half tap water. The beer was flat, warm, and tasted like sadness. The selection was as tragic as the atmosphere: one tap was broken, another had a mysterious substance oozing from it, and they were out of half the things listed on the menu. I’m convinced the wine they served had been sitting open since New Year’s Eve. Of *2019.* Now, the food. I wouldn’t feed this to my worst enemy. Great place for pretty much everything. Drinks a decent price for Stirling, loads of TVs for sport, roof terrace for catching the sun and an app to save you running up and downstairs. You can also do group bookings.

I am very pleased with my recent visit here. Was visiting Scotland for a week and ended up here for dinner,have to say I really enjoyed it. Everything is reasonably priced, and the presentation of food was good. Quick service and polite staff. Nice,fresh interior, family friendly. Would recommend.

Great place to come to enjoy food & socialising with friends plus there's always sports available to watch on the several TVs around the pub

was the worst meal ever and longest waitive 1 poor service slow to serve and meal horrendous won't visit again

Didn't think this one through, bringing the children to a loud pub on a Friday night ( I enjoyed it!) music playing and sports on TV. We had booked a table and thankfully given a booth. Nachos good, as was burgers. We ordered steak - very tasty but one steak was half fat which didn't go down well with the daughter!

A very nice Greene King pub! Food is better than Wetherspoon. But it seems like Wetherspoon has more choices of beer?

Great new menu for both food and drinks, the spritz in particular are fab, love the atmosphere and staff are always so lovely with a shout out to Amy and Maisie who were great when we visited behind the bar and checking in on food!

Standard chain pub. Not good-not bad. Average atmosphere and food.

Great wee bar. Visited twice. Second night there was a problem with our app order and we had a bit of a wait for drinks but apart from that the service was perfect from the friendly staff. It's probably easier just to order at the bar. The food 's pretty good too. I'd recommend the steak pie .

Lovely bar but food is getting portion controlled within an inch of its life, just like witherspoons. I ordered the pull pork tacos from the starter menu. There was more lettuce in it than meat and even that wasn't very much. How could a chef look at that and think the customer would be happy with that. Also the draught soft drinks we got are weak and seems like they are trying to cut costs with the syrup

Visited with my husband for lunch. The food was good and the staff were very nice although they were “run off their feet”. We waited about an hour for our food to arrive, which is unacceptable. There is obviously a shortage of staff for the size of this establishment. Unfortunately we wouldn’t return because of the wait.

Had a hassle booking, couldn't get it, the guy on the phone was no good but next day a lady called and sorted it all out but apart from that, food was nice

Fantastic venue - very nice atmosphere and the food is surprisingly high quality; which justifies the slightly more expensive tag on most items. Manager was lovely and accommodating. Only reason it isn't a full 5 stars is the lack of security on weekends (which has lead to some violent displays from some less desirable customers) and the fact that there were dogs in the pub (i love dogs but I'm allergic and very sensitive to their presence) though I appreciate that it's most likely a positive for other customers so don't particularly blame them for being dog friendly. Overall, a really fantastic place to go for drinks and food - would maybe advise to give it a miss on a Friday/Saturday night, simply due to some of the custom they attract on the weekend. I personally have been assaulted in the venue before, though the staff dealt with the incident reasonably well. Also one of the finer Greene King pubs I've been in.

Nice pub with two pool tables and a good selection of drinks. Food was OK, but the service was good and they kept us topped up with drinks. Plenty of different seating available.

Love visiting this pub, very dog friendly and the service is always brilliant. The roof terrance is our fav place in summer, nice and enclosed to keep the breeze out.

This is a regular venue for, beer, banter and choice of meals that are better than most. Roomy, comfortable and good staff.

Had a really good meal here on Saturday evening. We both had steak pie, which was a good sized portion with lots of pieces of tender beef and came with a jug of gravy - that's bonus points in my book! Vegetables and chips well cooked too, with a good bite to the broccoli. The only very slight downside was that the vinyl on the seating was damaged, and I had to be careful not to catch my clothing on it. Pub was very clean, and staff were friendly and efficient. Prices for the food were good, but £3.50 for a draught diet coke more than a little steep.

Staff were brilliant and very happy to have dogs in the bar.

Went for a Sunday roast, really tasty.

LOVED the staff here-- they were so cheerful, kind, and welcoming. My sister and I headed here for the evening and ended up closing the bar out. We also had dinner, which was good. My side salad, was not the best, but everything else was delish.

Cheap & cheerful pub grub, fish batter over cooked! No atmosphere as it was quiet tv on & music playing, paid to play pool but did not need to never got money back. Was just OK nothing special

Yeah, it's a chain. The patio looked awesome, but it was too windy for us when we visited. Nice vegetarian options.

Plus sides - dog friendly, friendly staff Downside - ran out of beefburger and chicken burger was way too dry on the outside and not enjoyable. Seems like it had been grilled to within an inch of its life

It was early visit. Hot day needed cooling down. Staff friendly good selection of beer. Roof top terrace. Most of the tables were booked for later on that day. Would go back again.

I love walls and this did not disappoint

Food was good. Needs a repaint. Lights hanging off. Just needs one lighting not 2. Seating needs refurb riped. Toilets behind gents door mths of crime. Get a new cleaner. I think ever u should have some one 2 have a wee wiss round the toilets. Especially on a weekend. Bar that good.

One of our party had to take our order to the bar, we had to deliver our drinks to our table, waitress was frustrated with the fact the establishment has several different menus, quality of food has declined since prior visits. Just been for family meal very dissapointed, blue cheese burger burgers were dry and couldn't see the blue cheese, waitress pointed the cheese out I was shocked it was the size of a penny, hunters chicken so dry it was inedible cheese lifted off it like a carpet, kids pasta was so dry even he wouldn't eat it.
