We had the light and full breakfast. Both of us really enjoyed and found the portion sizes perfect. I had an iced coffee that wasn’t the best, maybe too watery but didn’t ruin the experience. Such a lovely view on to the grounds aswell. Our waiter had good banter aswell

Have eaten a few times here over the last year. Visited again this week and was disappointed at the portion sizes that have clearly shrunk. We overheard the table beside us comment too. I’d rather be charged a couple of quid extra for the same portion size rather than see them shrink and keep the prices. The chicken Caesar salad look like a starter portion and the Tablet Sundae comes a with a really long spoon but a very shallow dish. Strange decisions have been made by management! Staff were very friendly, though.

Friendly local pub, with a big beer garden and exceptional food. I don't drink but my friend liked the selection of beers. I ordered the scallops with black pudding and bacon, because it's what I was served somewhere very up-market, for staters and my burger was the tastiest pub burger I've ever had. My friends had the pork belly which they said was very good too.

Waited for 10 minutes indoors to be seated only for someone to finally come over to tell us and the couple of people queued infront of us (most of whom were very elderly and frail) to wait outside in the cold instead. Based on this customer service and asking people in their 80s+ to wait outside in winter, we turned around and left.

Booked a table online on Easter Monday for lunch. Received a confirmation email and then a reminder about my booking. Imagine our shock then when we turned up to find restaurant closed!!. Phoned contact number and told indeed it was closed. What angered me more was I emailed the hotel twice explaining my situation and once used the contact details on website. Didn't even receive the courtesy of a reply or apology. Had food here before and it was very nice but after that experience I would not return. You shouldn't be able to book a table online if restaurant is closed.

Specifically returned here for a 2nd visit as the 1st visit had been so good! We found this place by accident around 3 weeks ago & were pleasantly surprised. The food was fantastic and the coffee is the best we've found in Ayrshire! And all very reasonably priced! Give it a go. I guarantee you won't be disappointed!

As always, great coffee with multiple options to suit all, including lactose free milk. The menu has so much to offer, I'd recommend the nacho's, a personal favourite. A huge cakes selection to go with all the coffee's on offer. Most importantly of all, the friendly & supportive staff, truly have become friends over the years.

Great staff, very attentive and happy, the smiles were contagious. Jamie-Lee was taking care of us, great energy. Lovely food, chef changed it up for us to our liking which is greatly appreciated. If there's anything I'd add is maybe a little background music.

Food a bit disappointing for the price paid. Soup was flavoured dish water, bread stale and price paid the quality is shocking. Fish and chips quality was better but battered fish was swimming in grease. This is normally our go to restaurant for a special night out but quality has dipped and will be rethinking where we dine out in Lanark in future. This is our 2nd meal here since January 2024 and the 1st meal was also disappointing - chilli served as a garnish on top of main meal when this is not on the menu description of food chosen!!!

Came here for my husband's birthday Came here for my husband's birthday dinner. First impressions were good. Chef in his whites in kitchen. So far so good. I have had surgery and because of this asked for a half portion of lasagna. I was told no but you can eat from kids menu which was fish fingers chicken nuggets pizza or macaroni cheese and chips. I decided against this as as an adult not my choice of food. My husband got breaded fish chips and peas. What a disappointment!! Frozen fish chips and peas. Absolutely nothing fresh which was probably why I couldn't have a half portion of lasagna as obviously pre cooked and frozen. Dinner was absolutely mediocre and we won't be back. Loudoun Hill you need to get with the times and provide for a much wider customer base. Ditch the freezer food and cook fresh . Frozen fish chips and peas definitely did not hit the spotdinner. Nice quality food - pricier side of cafe fodder but not unexpected from the venue as a whole. Minor issue with not knowing what a Panini is when serving crusty baguette roll - the overall quality/taste was very good. Decent Coleslaw rather than the budget catering watery affair usually found. Pre-packed sandwiches with no option to create your own, Captive audience but plenty of room in the park for your own picnics. £46 for 4.
