Down for a days visit and had a lovely meal. Quick efficient service and piping hot meal. I had veggie burger and friend had American cheeseburger. Both meals were lovely and we had a few hot cups of really good tea. Both meals for just over £13. You can’t beat it. I’ve been to expensive restaurants and paid 4 times that for a mediocre veggie burger.

Past few visits for lunch have been underwhelming... but this one was even poorer! Admittedly it was very busy. However, my first choice was 'not available' despite being flagged as a "new" addition to the menu. I opted for fish and chips. I made a simple request for very crispy chips. When my meal arrived the chips were softbut the fish was a shrivelled, very crispy (ie burnt) lump (with tepid baked beans)! I pointed the obvious reversal out to a server who told me they were busy and it would take too long to changemy meal... and he didn't deal with complaints, that was the manager's job. It'll be a long time,if ever, before I venture back!

Tables far too close together: not enough room to fart! Table next to us accidentally broke a glass (simply holdimg it) and had a whole . When my son alerted bat staff on their behalf he was offered a few sheets of blue roll. A member of staff sauntered over later on. Too crowded to get in or out.

After reading the reviews for the Prestwick pioneer which are not really that good we decided to give it a try on a windy Wednesday got parked right outside walked into a busy scene found a table and decided to order at the bar normally use the wetherspoons app served quickly and in a friendly way food arrived quickly and was hot seemed better presented than that of the old kirk meal was good ordered pudding no ice cream for my apple crumble so custard it is by this time it was quieter and the staff where beavering away tidying up clearing up as soon as customers where departing a quick visit to the bathroom revealed a spotless bathroom the disabled toilet you need a radar key available at the bar if you don't have one I would say go visit yourselves and make up your own mind after reading the reviews I was half expecting the slaughtered lamb scene from American werewolf in London and got the opposite a friendly warm atmosphere with good food

Probably one of the finest Spoons in the UK to be honest. Really well managed, toilet on same ground floor level, and nice attention to detail, like slice of orange in the blue moon wheat lager. Popped into here while in Prestwick for a quick bite to eat with the kids the place was mobbed. Myself and my eldest opted for dessert and youngest got a meal, partner ordered a beer and was told he would only be served a beer if we were ordering food (which we were) my 1 year old wanted to walk about (around our table, she wasn't going far ar all) but was told she had to remain in the high chair which just didn't happen as she wouldn't sit at peace, partner was then told that he wouldn't be served any more beer if he didn't order any food baring in mind he was sharing a meal with our 1 year old. Felt like we were constantly being watched and approached. Ended up leaving. Not a place for kids at all and if kids aren't allowed to be kids and walk then they shouldn't really allow kids in.

Visited recently during a cycling trip for a rest and some food. The ambience as I entered seemed quite relaxed as I approached the bar for service, when a male staff member approached Short, pale skin, dark hair, slight build, with facial hair and requested my order. As I perused the food and drink menu I could feel him scrutinising me with his eyes and without any bidding he commented about how good my thighs looked in my lycra shorts. I thought it an odd comment from one man to another let alone to me a random customer. "Muscular" he asserted and smirked. Hungry and thirsty, I brushed these inappropriate remarks away in the naive hope that he was merely eccentric. I flicked through the food menu and again without bidding he too lifted a menu and began to mimic me, page turn for page turn, occasionally glimpsing over the top of the menu to offer me a suggestive wink. At this point I was becoming jaded and exasperated by his relentless bothering. Burger and chips I exclaimed. Not really wanting same but wanting this sordid experience over with. "Sure you don't fancy a hot dog" he quipped. No mate, I nipped back. Can I just get my food and I'll be on my way!. Sure! He slapped the menu down and with a petted lip, off he popped. About ten minutes later my food arrived with my receipt which included his mobile phone number and a crude drawing of what I think was two men performing fallatio on one another. For the record the burger was also barely cooked. I wont be back. 1 star.

Can highly recommend this place to anyone devoid of any soul. Staff will (un)happily serve you with(out) a smile. Tourists are made to feel very (un)welcome whilst the locals are treated as warmly as an outbreak of the bubonic plague. You can order food but it’ll be your fault if it’s inedible (which, going by several other reviews is highly likely) and you will be asked to leave if you complain. You can order drinks until you’ve had one too many and you’ll be barred. Prestwick has a lot of local businesses who will appreciate your support and offer you a warm welcome. This is not one of them. Avoid at all costs.

I said yeah the steaks were inedible we couldn't chew any of them, she quite abruptly said we had eaten most of them, I said no we didn't, it was all left on the plate. I asked her for a refund. she said no way. I asked her for her name, she shouted MANAGER, and asked us to leave. I had seared tuna steak one night which I highly recommend, chicken supreme another night and a burger the other night I was there and it was all top quality. Brilliant friendly staff as well. We live between Deeside and Dorset and rarely in Ayrshire but down for wedding and decided to go to Scott’s as knew the owners through business over 20 years ago when they just had a couple of places & heard a lot about their massive success . Honestly , we couldn’t fault it and … we eat out a lot . From a genuinely lovely welcome from Beth to excellent service from all the staff ( Isabelle was particularly charming & efficient ) - wonderful choice of menu , terrific cuisine and good value for money …. With a charming view . Some people look to find fault wherever they go but , we genuinely found Scott’s faultless ( inc toilets , decor etc etc ) . Absolutely SUPERB - 10/10- well be back and Soon 🥂
