Little K's Kitchen in South Ayrshire

What a wonderful shop and cafe the hub of the local community. The manger Alex and Young worker Becca are fabulous such excellent customer service. I'm currently walking the entire UK coast path solo for the RNLI with my Big agnes tent Aggie since July 4th over 7,600 walked and I am staying at a campsite nearby yo rest a sore ankle. Wow I arrived and was treated like a local welcomed in offered coffee and cake. The atmosphere was heartwarming everyone happy picking up provisions hot food or stopping by for a chat. A lost dog was found and kept amd cuddled by a staff member till the happy owner arrived to claim his doggy ❤️ fully recommend this wonderful place. Thank yoy manager Alex 5 star .

Ordered 2 rolls and bacon and honestly.....a cremation is less cooked than this! Rock solid bacon, no taste at all. Total waste of money, always seems busy but a guess they dont order the bacon. When i did order, a local did joke "your taking your life in your own hands with that" wish i took his advice.

Found this little gem of a place. So friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to sort out everything we needed. A proper little corner shop and post office Anyone that is in the area should call in

I use the takeaway most mornings and I do love their steak sausage and onion rolls , I believe it’s excellent value for money and I also use the shop as my local shop daily as I reside at my work in local area , I pay under 2 quid for a steak slice sausage and fried onion a on a fresh buttered morning roll ( obvs that s why I always have at least 2) and it’s never taken them more than 8 mins even when busy , during the corona virus there was no increase in prices in their store and in fact it was only place I could get bread, pasta and milk a lot of the time , they were also quick to act in the best interests of the safety of their customers , limiting to 2 at one time and a separate entrance and exit , if you looking for a fancy lunch I’d say it’s not for you but if you looking to have a Nice bite and a good cuppa for a reasonable price in the Changing sorroundings of a real village shop staffed by real and friendly people that obvs care about their local community then I believe you will really enjoy it ,

Went here whilst on a golfing weekend, arrived in food area to find crumbs over the floor and bread basket on floor, girl arrived to take orders and took other couple first then went out, came back 5 mins later to take ours, once ordered she brought our coffee but the mugs were dirty and obviously hadnt been washed, so returned the mugs and left, very disappointing experience all round....avoid like the plague

Little K's Kitchen is a great wee shop/cafe/take away/post office. As you can tell it fills many jobs in the small village of Maidens. The fish and chips is pretty good too and pretty reasonable price wise. All strive is with a smile too, whether your in for soft drinks or buying a pint of milk. The seating/outdoor area could do with a bit of a freshen up and the shop is a little cluttered (to say the least) but it serves its purpose well.

This little cafe was the only one in the area. It also doubled as the local shop and post office. We called in for afternoon coffee around 4pm and, at that time, it appeared to be a one man operation. We placed our order at the counter and did not wait long to be served and it was service with a smile. The coffee was nice and hot, which I think is important. The total bill for 2 mugs of white coffee 1 piece of millionaires shortbread and 1 rather large empire biscuit was under 6 pounds. A small queue had formed at the counter when we went to pay the bill , and it was still service with a smile. This very small plain cafe had a very nice atmosphere.

had lunch here everything including pies deep fried worst steak pie ever also not enough staff so have to wait best advice dont do it.

Cant knock the cafe .. had a few meals in amd take out...good choice for a small place..Peter and the girls do a fab job

Maidens is a very small place, this is the only shop/cafe lovely , has a lot to offer for such a tiny place, Ive had a meal ,and very good portion, in café,. The shop is good, has your every day items, such as newspapers, fresh baking, Alcohol, fizzy drinks,

Pop in here quite often if out at culzean or going past it.. Always quick service and tasty food.. Good if your looking for a quick snack and staff are pleasant ...very nice cakes available also

will not win any fine food awards but good basic food ok prices friendly service, especially Peter the owner. Ideal if you are playing a round at a Turnberry or just passing through and looking for cheap food, some really nice restaurants in the area but far more expensive so depends what you are looking for.

i spent 2 hours looking for a warm drink and food not much about this area this time of year ,stumbled accross little k s a shop general store and cafe full to the rafters with stock toys newspapers .nothing else open so i tried the service was ok the food was very quick and very very good tasted like fresh local produce everything was very good a very pleasant shock far exeaded my expectations , well recomended if your that way
