We arrived with two dogs at quarter to 12 , set up the outdoor heaters and checked the breakfast menu . Went in to order at ten two and was curtly told it was too late to order breakfast ? We would be able to order lunch at 12 . Menus were only then removed from the display shelf and lunch ones put there at 12 , 10 ft away from us although the server could see we were sitting there !. First time and last time we will try this pet friendly !!customer friendly restaurant . Surely they should advertise breakfast up to 11.30 rather than 12 . Would it have been too much trouble to serve a few filled rolls ?? Went elsewhere where the service and food excellent. Disappointing vine

Just wanted to leave a review to highlight the great service provided by one of your staff. Nothing was too much for one of your servers. Always a smile on her face with every request. The only thing I would say should be looked at is the portion size of the adult macaroni. Everything else was plenty but the mac was the same size as kids on bigger plate. However I will definitely be back as the service was 10/10 and the food was lovely.

Just enjoyed a delicious late lunch in The Vine with my friend today. We visited the restaurant the last time we were in Prestwick and we were so impressed we thought we’d try it again and we were not disappointed. I’m quite a critical person but I was so impressed with the whole ethos of the place. Literally everything has been thought of with the customer in mind. The staff are well trained and professionally friendly, the menu choices varied to suit most tastes and the decor so relaxing. I sometimes wish I stayed in Prestwick just to visit more often.

Went for full breakfasts with my friend recently the place looked nice the staff were attentive but the food was disgusting could hardly eat it. Was not cooked fresh to order rock hard burnt bacon ,potato scones like rubber, no haggis and not told it would be missing . The tea was foul like a pound land variety. And it was extra ££ to get a pot of tea or a coffee with breakfast. The plates were warm but the food was placed on them cold!..beans were like a teaspoon worth in a tiny milk jug also half a tomato ,two small mushrooms, inedible bacon ,burnt black pudding and a pork link that tasted of nothing was peel wally undercooked looking. And the toast placed over the top to.make it look like the plate was full..tiny portions given. All in all for two brekkies and teas was £34 plus. They also added a cheeky service charge ,seems the chef was lazy everything was reheats. Wanted to try this place for ages but would never go back we did wonder why it was so quiet when the wee cafe next door along was absolutely rammed with people in for brekkie (possibly we know why now.)overpriced cheap rotten low budget food and bacon fused together as so burnt!

I’ve written this review on booking online so have based my review on this rather than actually visiting on this occasion. Been to the Vine lots and normally had a really nice relaxing lunch. Went to book a table for lunch today and basically given the table for 1.5 hours max. Tried different times with the same result. On previous visits it’s normally about half an hour before the starter arrives as you’ve to be seated, choose drinks, look through the menu etc therefore unless I want to race though everything I’m not going to fit in starter, main, coffee in about an hour. Unfortunately this seems to be a trend in a lot of restaurants now who obviously don’t value their customers and expect you to shove the food down your throat and get out as quickly as possible til they get the next customer in. Not hospitality at its best. Sorry Vine I won’t be back until this changes.

We got a voucher for Buzzworks from our favourite travel agent Stewart Travel having booked a holiday from them in January. It was a nice gesture from them but I think they should choose another group to donate their largesse. We had dinner in this establishment tonight and had it not been free we would have complained. We had the starter of roasted goat’s cheese. The container for the item was roasting hot but the food inside was barely warm and the cheese was certainly not melting. Moving on to the main course, I had overcooked cod and chilli rice which was inedible because of the amount of chilli. There was a sad small piece of pak choi which totally resisted the attempts of my knife to cut it. The other main was slow cooked lamb. I tried it to see if it was an improvement on my meal, it wasn’t, there was far too much salt in the lamb and it was stringy. The one bright spot on the horizon was the staff, they were delightful, helpful and so pleasant. Even with a voucher to encourage us we will not be returning to this establishment.

Following a visit to the Vine in Prestwick on Saturday 18th May I have been forced to give a review in the hope that the management sit up and take notice. Having had a great day out and about with my wife and elderly cousin, we had a look at the two menu's one for the bar food and one for the Vine restaurant area that the member of staff at the till area was happy to provide and we had a polite chat. Though the prices were not low we decided to treat ourselves to the Vine restaurant area. we were quickly seated at an available table and asked what drinks we would like. Up to that point we loved the look and atmosphere of the well attended restaurant which looked as though some thought and design had gone into the decor to create a unique feel and uniqueness. Sadly things began to get worse from then on in. When I looked down at the table, it had grooves in it that were absolutely filled with washed in dirt and food debris not just in one part but every groove on the table was the same. My first reaction was to get up and leave as it was not something I would accept. We called the waitress and informed her, and asked for another table, she at first told us that the other tables had been reserved but she got a senior member of staff perhaps the manager. to come and see us. I pointed out the reason and told him that I felt the table was 'Clatty' with food in the grooves. and he offered us another table. I was still for leaving but my wife who has fibromyalgia, and my cousin who is 76 asked me to stay because of the huge inconvenience it would be to up and leave then find another eatery. So I picked a table with a marble top that at least would not have food debris in the grooves from god knows when or who. Lifting our drinks which had now been delivered to the table we sat at the marble table to order our food. It is amazing how your anticipation of having a nice meal effects your appetite and instead of trying something new I opted for the pan seared sea bass which I chose as the least likely thing that could be horrible. My wife chose the churrasco harissa chicken burger, and my cousin chose the char-grilled beef burger. My slither of sea bass was cooked well, but the long stem broccoli was extremely al-dent the potatoes were overcooked probably because according to the waitress who brought me a plate that was 'Scalding' hot and said it had been under the lamp to keep it hot. My wife's chicken was ok but my cousin burger was way overcooked and burnt black so she could only manage to eat half of it. Now back to the table. Though the manager asked the waitress to wash the table we had been at. My wife who was an infection control trained nurse noticed that she merely wiped over the surface with a cloth. and no effort was made to clean the grooves of the table. In summary. All the good work in the thoughtful and unique design of the restaurant area has been let down by Very poor attention to detail on the cleanliness front. and having made a complaint we felt as if the staff's attitude was very poor and we were given a wide berth by everyone after we ordered. Cable clips in the wall left after a cable of some kind had been removed was not a good look either. The Toilets however had been tastfuly decorated and were of a higher standard than the eating area. What could have been a fond memory to round of a nice day, ended in disappointment. We did not stay for dessert which means the restaurant lost out on at least another £20 takings.

Saturday night prices at the Vine are now equal and in places exceed the Ivy restaurant in Glasgow. Last month, during a visit to The Ivy, we enjoyed their larger fish and chips for the same price. Their "off menu" request for Afgagato was priced at £6 for ice cream with coffee compared to Vine's £8.45?? Another example of high mark-up concerns is two bao buns (plus included sides) priced at £18.45. High-end prices require exemplary service and produce. With that said, locally, the Vine is a cool venue. Its decor and vibe are excellent. The staff on Saturday were great. The bar throughput, however, was lagging behind food service. IMHO, the overpriced bao buns were excellent, as indeed was the fish and chips. The Vine sharing platter was the star with an excellent tasty selection. Ues, make hay while the sunshines, but I suspect the pricing structure will not guarantee frequent return local support.

Excellent brunch for us, we have visited most of this group of restaurants around Ayrshire, and they never disapoint, always pleasant staff, food is exceptional, we've dined brunches, lunches and quiet evening meals and always take our friends and visitors, they all love the various restaurants as far as Largs down to Ayr and all in between, just a great experience every time. Oh! the food exceptionally good, and a super selection menu. The visit today again very relaxing with most enjoyable ...

What a wonderful shop and cafe the hub of the local community. The manger Alex and Young worker Becca are fabulous such excellent customer service. I'm currently walking the entire UK coast path solo for the RNLI with my Big agnes tent Aggie since July 4th over 7,600 walked and I am staying at a campsite nearby yo rest a sore ankle. Wow I arrived and was treated like a local welcomed in offered coffee and cake. The atmosphere was heartwarming everyone happy picking up provisions hot food or stopping by for a chat. A lost dog was found and kept amd cuddled by a staff member till the happy owner arrived to claim his doggy ❤️ fully recommend this wonderful place. Thank yoy manager Alex 5 star .

We live between Deeside and Dorset and rarely in Ayrshire but down for wedding and decided to go to Scott’s as knew the owners through business over 20 years ago when they just had a couple of places & heard a lot about their massive success . Honestly , we couldn’t fault it and … we eat out a lot . From a genuinely lovely welcome from Beth to excellent service from all the staff ( Isabelle was particularly charming & efficient ) - wonderful choice of menu , terrific cuisine and good value for money …. With a charming view . Some people look to find fault wherever they go but , we genuinely found Scott’s faultless ( inc toilets , decor etc etc ) . Absolutely SUPERB - 10/10- well be back and Soon 🥂

The sandwich was simple but nice enough. Tasty cheese and ham. The macaroni was awful. Cold sludge made from cheap ingredients. Possibly the worst I've had. The place itself is fine but they really need to review their catering. It could be so much better

Usually eat here and never had an issue. Today we called and waiting 15 minutes and not served. Approached the counter and older lady said it was table service and take a seat. (We knew this but had waited). Sat back down and waited nearly another 15 minutes and nobody took our order. We were walked past several times by staff and ignored. Left and went elsewhere. Really disappointed at being made to feel so embarrassed after others noticed clearly and those arriving after us were served. Will sadly not return as left to feel like we were deliberately being ignored. Completely embarrassing experience.
