We had an excellent meal here for a birthday dinner. The food was delicious and well presented. There were plenty of staff on shift, who were attentive and welcoming. We would definitely recommend this restaurant for a meal. The stand out dishes for us were the vegetarian starter and the honey and miso cod dish.

We were wild camping in Scotland. We had the best week! Everything was pretty casual, because we’d been sleeping in a tent so weren’t our best dressed. We decided to go to a fancier restaurant for my Birthday. I absolutely love seafood & our meal was delicious. Several restaurants along this strip of road don’t take bookings. We’d tried another one before & the wait time was ridiculous. I took it as a sign because we came here instead & I’m so glad. It is a fancier restaurant - the food is nicer & classier - but don’t be concerned about your clothing. We were in hiking gear & just made sure we weren’t muddy. Skye is very used to campers & it seems that is what most of her visitors are. There is no dress code.

A charming little hotel located in the center of Inverness. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is welcoming and friendly, and the food is excellent. Thank you to the young man who served us in the evening with professionalism and kindness. I recommend the establishment.

Really enjoyed our night at Smoo Cave Hotel. Hugh and Frances were lovely hosts. Nothing too much trouble. Two clean and comfortable rooms next to each other which suited the family well. Amazing views in both directions. Delicious evening meal - chilli and rice and prawn cocktail. Hearty breakfast and we were on our way. Really recommend.

Came here while doing the whw. Great food, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. The beef madras was beyond amazing. The barmaid advised we book a table because they fill up quickly, but I liked we weren't rushed out the door seconds after eating.

Amazing breakfast at the Ariundle Centre. Roll in haggis and potato scone was fabulous, best I have had in my travels. Wife had a toasties and enjoyed that too! Back again and we visit every time we come to stay near Strontian. Nice relaxing atmosphere, always a warm welcome to all and beautiful home cooked meals that you will really appreciate. Finished off with an amazing selection of cakes and tea!

Firsty, I have received what equates to a 15% refund of my total spend after contacting the hotel...and I did raise my concerns directly with a member of staff while we were there. Neverless, I am totally perplexed at the service and standards given the reputation of this hotel. The location and grandure is certainly not matched by food and service. Another review describes a "faulty towers " experience that absolutely sums up breakfast. Absolutely astounded how inexperienced some the staff seemed. Huge expensive mistake!

We stayed in Cromarty for the last week in June and thoroughly enjoyed it. We dined here on our first night (a Saturday), which was very busy, but the service and food were fine. Our last night was a Friday and it was very quiet. We both liked the specials. Val chose scallops followed by chicken, while I stayed with the specials and had mussels followed by scallops. When my main course of scallops arrived (£18) they seemed to be the same helping size as Val's scallop starter (£12). I asked Val, if I was right. She agreed. The young waitress overheard and chipped in, 'No, you have two extra scallops she assured me. WHAT £6 for two extra scallops! The owner overheard and stepped in to 'sort' it. We did not expect this in Cromarty of all places. BE CAREFUL!
