The menu includes fish, meat, veggie options. Plated with class and served pleasantly by staff. One night I had the carrot wellington which had particularly good filling of carrot, onion, and spinach. Another night had the creamy risotto with asparagus & peas. Both were very satisfying. Desserts outstanding. The Carnacrach looked scruptious but I chose poached pear for a lighter choice. Had the Toffee Cake with sauce and the smallest scoop of vanilla ice cream. I would’ve enjoyed a little more ice cream with this large piece of cake.

A great little cafe in a lovely spot. Friendly staff, reasonable prices. Indoors its quite a large space, outside they have a mezzanine seating area at tree top level. There is a nice little circular walk from the cafe for dog walkers, and a slightly longer woodland walk over the road. Plenty of picnic tables in the car park under the trees. A nice place to visit.

We came out of desperation because all the other places on easter Saturday in Portree were booked out. Turned out to be a decent spot, there are quite bright tables in front of the restaurant or booth-like tables at back, where we were sitting. They were a bit darker tho. The service was fast and friendly. The food was also decent, we recommend the mussels (with a positively surprising sauce) and the fish soup - it was great. Other than that fish and chips and salads were good. We havent tried any cocktails but they looked great

Se sei a Portree, vai a cena al Caledonia Café dove abbiamo mangiato un pesce squisito e pagato il giusto. Ottimo il salmone sul un letto di patate stufate con scarola e prezzemolo. Eccellente il fish and chips, freschissimo e asciutto. Tenete un posticino per il dolce, la cheesecake alla cannella veramente lodevole.

Waited 20 minutes for a regular cappuccino. Ended up getting it as a takeaway because I didn’t want to rush—but I’m not even sure what I was given, as it definitely wasn’t what I ordered. The staff seemed visibly exasperated and it was short staffed. Hope you get more staff in future to ensure a good experience all around.

Found myself in Keith somewhat randomly. This establishment was recommended for food by the locals. I have eaten many burgers in my 51years, the steak burger was definitely in the top 3 ever. The staff were friendly and helpful and the customers at the bar were obviously regulars who were welcoming and friendly. All in all a great and unexpected evening.

Fantastic choice of cakes, rolls and pies! Recommend the “Highland Pastie” or steak bake. Served hot or cold- 3 pies, 2 coffees and a wee bottle of diet bru under £18. Can sit on tables and chairs outside. Staff very polite and helpful- worth a visit if you need a snack.

Firstly the food is excellent. I had lamb and my partner had the ribeye steak. Both cooked to perfection. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and a special mention for Emily who looked after us so well. Also, for the quality of food and wine, very reasonably priced.

Well, which were the stickest and dirtiest, the floor, the walls or the table. Walls smeared with food debris, table with food stuck on and carpet filthy, even the dog didn’t sit on it. Food ok and service good. Needs a serious deep clean. Won’t be back(been 4 times previously). Come on , provide a service.
