We visited here a few years ago and were amazed by the food and service. Decided to return today while out for a run. Well we were not disappointed. The food was freshly cooked and delicious. Staff helpfull and curteous. Prices very reasonable. What a little gem of a place. We cannot rate this highly enough. Well done!

Dr. Navoski.

After visiting busy Skye, my husband and I absolutely loved escaping by tiny ferry to this peaceful, rustic inn with its lovely loch views and friendly staff. Our room wasn't fancy, but it was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We savored a delicious dinner and breakfast there, and enjoyed walking the quiet road (in company with some sheep) to look at the pretty lighthouse and sample fantastic brews/views at Ardgour Ales. The ferry does make some noise when arriving and departing throughout the day, but all is quiet at night. Our only regret is that we didn't stay here longer than one night!

We stumbled upon this gem while wandering around Glencoe, hungry and just looking for somewhere warm to sit. We didn’t have high expectations, but the moment we stepped in, it felt like we had walked into a Christmas romantic comedy set! The cozy atmosphere, warm lighting, and stunning views made it so inviting. The food was excellent—well worth the wait. The service was a little slow, but honestly, we didn’t mind at all. We were too busy enjoying our drinks, the view, and the magical ambiance. If you’re ever in Glencoe, this place is a must-visit for a relaxing and heartwarming experience!

The place was empty when we arrived, so we managed to get our food ordered in good time. We all had scampi and chips, which was enjoyable. There was a very nice and relaxed atmosphere about the place till a bus load of noisy pensioners arrived and the staff went into overdrive. All-in-all a great place to stop and have a break, without breaking the bank.

Booked on line (2 plus dog) for an evening meal only to be told on arrival that we would need to eat in the bar; no issue with that, it’s very common generally. Unfortunately it turned out that the extensive restaurant menu “is not available” in the bar and the choice was from a very limited and unimaginative separate bar menu. Can someone explain to me why, if the food comes from the same kitchen, it isn’t possible to serve both options in the bar? Voted with our feet and went to Am Politician on Eriskay, excellent meal and no inane segregation.

Best Sunday Roast Ever! We fancied a Sunday Roast lunch and Tuckers Inn did not disappoint. Generous portion of perfectly cooked roast beef served with delicious gravy, Yorkshire and tasty crispy roasties accompanied by a good selection of veg. Compliments to the chef :) We will be back

I suspect the Silverfjord is not long for this world. The dining room was freezing cold , half of it set up for breakfast. It also appeared to be a pub with no beer - I had their last can of Doom bar, the only non-lager option on offer. It was also served in a novel way - the unopened can dumped in the top of a pint glass. I made the mistake of ordering the 'home made' burger, I am not sure what it was made of but I don't think any cows were harmed in its making. My wife's fish and chips was OK, but came with no peas, just a piece of torn up lettuce. Chips were cooked ok, though. We didn't stay for dessert, we were in and out in just over an hour, £37 poorer and wiser.

Such a disappointment …..think they must have different chefs on different days. I had lunch on Tuesday , scallops with a delicious sauce and a light cheese dressing and honeycomb snap which was so delicious I went back the next day. Ordered same dish …..padded out with some form of very dry potatoes, no snap and sauce almost totally absent. Very dry and mediocre lunch…..won’t be returning.
