A convenient stopping place on NC500 Cafe and information point Close to museum A useful place to get information on local history and archaeology

Glad we hadn’t ordered our food before experiencing the rudeness of a member of staff. Shouted at for using the toilet when it was out of order, yet no sign to notify customers of that. I heard her shout at the next person too, verging on aggressive. We voted with our feet and left the cafe.

Called here for lunch today. Lots of local history information and cafe doubles up as tourist information centre. Only had soup and tea but was wholesome and really tasty. Menu is actually quite extensive. Very good service and would recommend calling here

A very cosy little “unassuming” cafe close to the StrathnaverMuseum. Some snug seating inside as well as outdoor seating too. Had a most delicious cheese scone with my coffee - it was superb, very tasty indeed. A most pleasant server behind the counter made the whole visit a most enjoyable experience.

Poor quality for the price you are paying. We always used to enjoy a visit to the cafe when the Previous owners had it. We will not be returning.

Myself & my partner stopped in whilst camping the local area, doing the Nc500. The food was amazing and such a charming wee Cafe. We had to take away but that was fine.. We had chilli and chips & macaroni and chips! Tasted soo good!! I also couldn't resist the perfect home made baking cake! There were also scones & tray bakes which I could have easily eaten them all! Such friendly staff, who made you feel very welcome! Definitely visit again in the future! Well done Kat & Natasha! 👍👍👍

Lovely city centre pub right next to the castle. Visited twice during our stay, both early evening. Booking is essential as on both occasions all the tables in the dog friendly bar were full. All the staff were friendly, even on Friday and Saturday evenings, when it can get quite busy. The food is very good and excellent value for money. Keep an eye on the specials board. My wife tried the macaroni cheese and smoked salmon from it and was really impressed. On our first visit I had the haggis, neeps and tatties, while my wife had the cullen skink. Both were excellent. On our second visit I had the battered haddock & chips, which was large and delicious. Please be aware that there are multiple tv screens in the place showing sport and entertainment programmes, sometimes at the same time. Perhaps not the place for a romantic cosy occasion. However, it has a good atmosphere and would thoroughly recommend visiting when you’re in Inverness

Très agréable situation entre 2 ballades, service très prévenant. Des plats typiques, abordables. Le top après une journée de tourisme.

It is sometime since I stopped here. Overall I was very disappointed. Service was ok. The food was not great although it was cooked to order. Would not go out my way to stop here again.

Do not make any requests, or you will be met with an intimidating stare and a passive/aggressive response. It made our stay quite difficult, but we stuck it out as it was peak season at the time. Also, our room more suited to a single bed category - with a double bed squeezed into it, there was barely enough room to move along one side of the bed and around the end of the bed, as it was so close to the wall on two sides. There are plenty of other good B&B's in the area who will be glad to welcome you.
