We had a fantastic festive dinner in Coast last night. The cock-a-leekie and the butternut squash/chilli soups were delicious and the beef and ale casserole was great, the beef was cooked perfectly. The a la carte menu is still on if you prefer thst. Always a great atmosphere here at Christmas and all our servers were friendly and efficient, as usual.

Don't bother management is a disaster 1 person on a 4 table half menu unavailable. 48 minutes to get served. Chips cold garlic bread cold and greasy more interested in wiping down tables and bar than taking orders if its available!!!!! 5 days at hotel won't eat here EVER AGAIN !!

Honestly… The title says it all! From the Arizona desert in the southwestern United States, to seaside St. Andrews in Scotland… We were told the absolute best fish and chips we could have would be found here at Cromar’s. And without a doubt, that’s exactly what they were! Fantastic portions, perfect fish, excellent chips (and we were lucky enough to meet the owner and chat for a bit). I cannot possibly recommend this place enough!

We stopped early for breakfast driving to the Glencoe Mountains. Our food (breakfast egg and sausage ciabatta) was good, but nothing special. It was warm on a cold day; so, that itself was appreciated. It's an order at the counter service and they bring it out to the table. They were efficient, and it wasn't crowded, as we were there around 8:00. The store's prices for goods looked similar, if not a little higher than other stores like Tesco.

The Corinthian Club Glasgow is a beautiful and stunning venue set in the heart of the city with easy access to rail, taxi and bus service. We booked for Christmas Day dinner and were really disappointed with the dining experience. On entering the venue you were relieved of your overcoats etc, polite staff in attendance at the cloakroom, tickets given. You are then greeted with a warm welcome and a glass of sparkling wine, then ushered by very young polite smiling staff to your table. The table was well laid out with a flower vase etc, poor marks for cheap and nasty Xmas crackers, would have thought the venue would have had more upmarket Xmas crackers. Starters were just okay with main and dessert courses being excellent, but the vegetables were of poor quality. Finally we were to have Xmas pies tea or coffee. The smallest mince pies that we have ever seen were placed on our table. After waiting some time for our tea/coffee we enquired only to be informed that we had to retire to an adjacent room for the tea/coffee. There was no mention of this at all. (Obviously they wanted to flip their tables for the next sitting) We headed for the exit collecting our coats en route, giving the tea/coffee a miss. Staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for you,but bad marks to the venue for lack of communication and certainly not the best Xmas day dinner.
