Crab sandwiches on the beach….loved it. Cash only…….unbelievable how many people clearly dont have enough change for a pot of tea in their pockets these days. Lovely location, everything done properly. Don’t hesitate to walk down. PS Look after his £50 note 🤣

I'll admit I am a difficult diner, gluten and dairy free and don't eat beef or pork. Menu did not have any chicken or veggie choices that weren't covered in breadcrumbs and the first person I was talking to wasn't at all helpful However. I was then offered a great vegetarian solution by another staff member and that was delicious and the service improved greatly. Would also like to comment on the atmosphere. Mostly good except for said first staff member was also hell bent on throwing every empty bottle in to the bottle bin with force that seemed excessive and was startling.

This was a disappointment compared to the old days of the bay restaurant. We were greeted with all the things that weren't available, I ended up having fish and chips as my first choice. It wasn't but wasn't terrible but it was covered in way too much salt which couldn't be avoided very easily. Wish we had gone out to eat but as we were staying in the hotel we chose to stay in.

We were driving through the area and stopped for some food. In spite of the fact it was early lunchtime, we ordered the afternoon tea, which included a sandwich of your choice and cake or scone plus of course the drink. The sandwiches were delicious and the whole thing was laid out so nicely. The cost was £14.75 each, good for the amount we had. We ate outside as the sun was shining but inside is also dog friendly. We were served very quickly in spite of them being busy. Highly recommend.

Came for a lunch and was very disappointed. I had chorizo hash dish that wasn’t chorizo it was fried luncheon meat or something certainly not chorizo. The taste was awful tasted of burnt plastic. No hash just bits of potatoes and a couple of rocket leaves sat in loads of oil in a dirty skillet dish. My husband ordered toast and peanut butter served to him without a knife. A tiny thimble of peanut butter and over priced. I requested some salt and was brought an empty salt cellar. One more thing my tea was served with a badly cracked cup very unhygienic and dangerous if it fell apart. Over priced food that was pretty awful and not what it was claiming to be. Service very poor although polite but still. Didn’t complain as we didn’t choose to eat there and didn’t want to cause a fuss. Had I been on my own I would have demanded my money to be refunded.

We have eaten here with friends 4 times over the last 2 years, but it has never really impressed us. The food is OK, but not really worth the cost. The chips were hard and dry, which I don't understand as they are supposed to be home made! Also, the drinks have always been expensive, but £4.55 for 1 pint and one half pint of lime and soda is ridiculous. The most we have ever paid in the past is £3, but often less than that!!

Poor. Used to be a lovely Pub to have a Roast Dinner in, especially on the Sundays the Classic Cars turned up! Today's Roast Beef was frankly nothing of the sort, tough, stringy and tasteless - I suspect it wasn't the days Roast at all, but some pre-packaged 'Roast Beef' slices. Apart from that, it's a nice, friendly, local Pub.

We visited after we had been to the museum. We are frequent visitors to Cafe Ambio at Astley Park so thought we’d try this one. Between us we had a beef sandwich, a children’s lunch box, chips, hot drinks, cake and ice cream. The food and drinks were all hot and tasty. The kids sandwich was in a brioche bun which my son didn’t like and the ham was quite fatty. It does state on the menu it’s a roll not bread but it didn’t mention brioche- this was a huge issue for my son who has sensory issues. The staff were friendly and efficient, the place was clean and welcoming. I was stunned by how much more expensive it is compared to the other Cafe Ambio.
