Having read the reviews and spoken to friends I went with good expectations. Sadly it seems that today 23rd March they must have had a bad day and as a result I wouldn't return back here. As someone who is neurodivergent it was sensory hell from the moment I walked in to when I walked out. The noise of the music playing was at the level of a nightclub. The amount of times that guests / staff walked into me made the experience more problematic. It would have been beneficial for the staff to have made me aware that they were behind me and passing food, or glasses onto the table. The table we were sat at was not something that a greasy spoon cafe would use rather than one that is meant to be of a good standard. As for the food, it wasn't to the standard of a roadside cafe. The roast potatoes had gone cold, the chicken felt like it was uncooked, it was that bad I just couldn't eat it. I didn't trust the staff to be able to fix it. Having looked at the other reviews today the staff must have had a bad day, I just hope that they don't have too many other bad days

What a great 2 night stay we had. Set in a wooded area with great views. The rooms are clean and certainly adequate. Paul the host is remarkable. He is so friendly and couldn't do enough for my partner and I top service throughout our stay. Fantastic

This place is a gem, we stopped in on the way to Longleat. Very decent "cafe" food, generous portions and the service is outstanding. As the parent of a child with autism I was really pleased to see that they employ neurodiverse people. Finally, it's very good value for money. 4 of us had brunch with drinks for £50. George was a wonderful waiter, kind, friendly and some of the best customer service I've ever had. They also catered for my son's gluten-free diet, to the extent of putting fresh oil into the fryer for his chips. There is parking very nearby, 1 hour is free. I couldn't fault it.

An old village inn that has sadly seen better days. I’m giving it 2 stars purely because the owner was so friendly but the place itself felt dirty, stank of something that was akin to stale urine and was generally uncared for. A shame because it could be a nice place if some attention to detail was made. Not a chance I would go back until then.

A fantastic village bakery with small cafe next door. Fresh bread, cakes, quiches, sandwiches etc as well as fruit and veg. Reasonably priced and great quality.
