So gutted to hear this lovely place has closed down. How sad. They were so popular too! The best scotch eggs around & apple strudel as well as the baklava! Where shall we go now?! Thanks for all the happy memories there and the great service too!

The village has lost a little gem – sadly Vassos has left and the Larder has now closed. A new restaurant has opened up next door and it remains to be seen how good this is.

Chipperfield Larder provided lots of food for a relatives funeral wake. It was all delicious and beautifully presented on platters that I returned to them a couple of days later. A big thank you to them. (This was on 23 September 2021 but I am only just now getting round to writing this review.)

Stayed at Two Brewers where I could net get served breakfast at 9.14am.Nothing,literally not a sausage. A fine sausage sandwich and double espresso were provided by a pleasant gent in the Chipperfield Larder, which I cheerfully devoured at an outside table in the morning sun. Thank you,you saved my morning. Recommended.

I thought I couldn’t cope with anymore magic from this place, but Vas has gone and done it again! This time bringing the flavours and class of Italy to chipperfield. Have had so many excellent pizzas from his wood fired oven that I’m a Jean size bigger, full as a lord. Many offer pizzas but there’s only one Greek godfather! If you also suffer from chronic Gluttony, his home made cakes are an obvious choice. Many share them, I don’t. Get down here for the best sandwiches and deli food.

We tried two take away pizzas from here on Friday evening. They were great, really tasty, thin and crispy base. Staff very friendly and it was really well organised with specified pick up time so easy to socially distance. Only reason for 4 stars was the roasted veggie pizza could have had slightly more veggies on it but it was still very good.

Okay, so this is so random. I was on my way to see a friend who lives in Kings Langley and my mobile died so lost comms and navigation. Being night time in a panic I looked for a pub or bar so I could get directions. I stumbled across The Chipperfield Larder, a quant and beautiful eatery and delicatessen. The owner was very helpful in providing me with directions and even allowed me the use of his phone. I couldn’t help but notice the smell of baking. Apparently the first Friday of every month is a theme night. The theme for that night was basically pizza! No big deal really, you can get takeaway pizza anywhere that’s good.....not so! The premises has its own clay pizza oven in the back that basically burns logs for cooking the pizzas. I had pepperoni, onions, olives, ham, mushroom and fresh basil. Wow! That was probably one of the best pizzas that I’ve had in a long time. Fresh ingredients and good quality ingredients. I was even asked if I wanted it crispy or a softer base! It tasted amazing and it was filling and left me satisfied. For someone to make pizzas once a month, honestly! Really good pizza! Thank you guys! Long review, but worth it.

My wife and I live just a short walk away and often visit here for a quick coffee or slice of cake, the main guy who runs it is very friendly and seems to know most of his customers by first name, my wife and I often buy the jacket potatoes to take away but you can eat in if you prefer, there is a small space outside the front which is great to sit if the weather is ok. We have also bought the lasagne before to take away which is extremely good, it can be frozen or heated up and it's a really decent portion size you won't need anything else!! They also do wood fired pizzas on certain nights and they are fantastic too, really cheap and 4 or 5 different options as to what you can have. We've not been to one yet but they sometimes have speciality nights where you can go for dinner, our neighbours who have been said these are really good and the food is excellent!

We always have good food and excellent service when we visit. We recently tried Pizza Night, well l can honestly say the pizzas were the best we have had. Try the chicken with BBQ sauce, the Greek salad was good, my hubby had a good beer, my latte was just as l like it and my 5yr old grandson was very impressed with the pizza. We must do this again. Tanles well spaced and a good number for two people. I had a very tasty panini with brie and bacon with a lovely side salad and crisps. My friend had scrambled egg on toast which was well presented. My friend enjoyed hers very much as i did mine. The service was good the waitress friendly and efficient. I bought a lemon drizzle cake to take home whivh had been made there. It was delicious. We have eaten here many times in the past is ok for a very quick sandwich but prices are so expensive for what you get. Deli's are supposed to have nice fresh artisan breads etc but what you get here is cheap part baked baguette's but for the price of real quality. Agree with other reviewers, Panini's are part baked baguette's placed in sandwich maker. Must say they do good frozen pies though. If you want a real treat, try Fred and gingers down in Kings Langley high street, just down the road!!!

The staff are nice and is a nice setting. The menu never changes and the products are very expensive for what they are. If you order a Panini you get a half baked baguette that's put into the sandwich maker. The half baked baguettes that are used leave you feeling very thirsty. The chicken and bacon sandwich filler is disgusting, really processed chicken is used and feels rubbery in your mouth. The all day breakfast is nice and probably the best value meal in there but again leaves your mouth feeling like Ghandi's flip flop
