After a bracing walk around part of Digley Dam this was an ideal stop off to satisfy healthy appetites. It wasn't particularly busy so my friend and I were fortunate to select a table by the window to sample views of the surrounding countryside that the area is famous for. We both chose the regular Fish & Chips, good value at ÂŁ12 though smaller portions are available at ÂŁ9.50. My friend's Side Salad cost ÂŁ4 which I thought expensive for what he received while a side order of Mushy Peas set him back ÂŁ2. I thought the drinks were expensively priced, ÂŁ2.90.for a pint of Fanta Orange but we'd visited for the Fish & Chips and these were delicious so it was definitely worth the effort. The menu is quite extensive so there are plenty of alternatives to satisfy most appetites and palates. A good experience.

Wonderful hospitality, bar staff very welcoming and friendly. Food was yummy, the gammon was juicy and tender, the ultimate southern fried chicken burger was a really good size for the pricing and really nice. Overall would recommend on coming here for food!

I was travelling to meet family and thought we would try the nags head, It is a very central location for us. The food is always good now as the head chef is fantastic at their job. We were seated by an equally great member of staff in Jenny, our drinks were served to us by the amazing G. Nice clean pub, great food and fantastic staff. You would be foolish to miss out on such an experience. 10/10 every time.

I have been to the Moocafe a few times now and each time I am disappointed. The service is very very slow. Myself, baby and friend were sent to a table, I had to then get my own high chair from a pile of them at the back of the restaurant. Every single high chair was dirty which I then had to wipe down with my baby wipes before putting my baby in it otherwise he would have been covered in food from the previous child sitting in it. 2 further families were sat down on the tables either side of us. Both of which had their orders taken and drinks and food brought to them before anybody had even been back to our table to take the order. The girl who took the order I can only assume was new as didnât know the menu and had to keep going away to ask questions to her colleagues, for example what coffee syrups did you have. I ordered the small full English breakfast which states it comes with âeggâ. I ordered my breakfast and then my drink. I then asked how is the egg serviced and she stated I could have it any way I want. I had to prompt her for my option of how I wanted my eggs cooking, I donât know what it would have come like as standard without out asking. She didnât offer me any toast which would have been a good upsell for her. Our food then arrived even before the coffee arrived which is just around poor service. We sat for a while after we had finished our dinner and had to stop a waitress to ask to order more drinks. The drinks then arrived and we had to ask for our empty plates that we had already stacked to help, to be cleared away. I have returned since my last disappointing visit in the hope it would have improved or that it was a one off poor experience however unfortunately not. I now wont be returning

A decent Toby Carvery. I wouldnât say it exceeded my expectations, but for what it is it was decent. The amount of meat was a little negligible, roasties were hard, mash had been under the lamp for wayyyy too long- but gravy makes it all better. All in all about what youâd expect from a Toby Carvery.

You have an impressive vegan menu. I had the plant based fish and chips. It was absolutely delicious, followed by the apple crumble and ice cream. The rest of the family had the Beyond burgers and chocolate torte. We will definitely be regular customers now. Service was excellent and it was such good value for money.

We thought to come for dinner as the food is usually okay but today was outrageous! We ordered and didnât receive our drinks for 30 minutes. Then we had to wait a further 1hr30minutes for our starters to arrive. We ordered Garlic bread that came freezing and chicken taco, chicken tacos on discription from your menus! Include âmayo and palle de galoâ I got a taco with 2 tiny chicken strips and what looked like just leaves. Then we had to wait a further 45 minutes for our mains. We voiced our concerns to the bar staff and they explained we could have a âone free drink or puddingâ for the long delay and explained they were really busy in the kitchen despite only having approximately 10 people in the pub.

Stayed at the flower of may for a weekend and walked to this pub. Omg it was terrible , staff rude and unhelpful, canât believe how bad the food was and the following day my wife had a stomach upset, flies everywhere and it wasnât busy so food had been stood and was inedible. I left mine and wife left most of hers. Canât recommend and Iâm surprised they are still in business, chatted in the bar up on caravan site and apparantly it has new owners and mostly people are giving it a wide berth. I can understand why.
