Nice atmosphere and cheap food. Very friendly staff and service was really quick. Clean bar area and toilets were very clean also. Extremely convenient location to our hotel and bus station etc

Hard to fault this lovely cafe. Nice menu and great staff. After waiting 15 minutes after the drinks arrived for toasted teacakes to arrive, the managers explanation was that toasted teacakes are regarded as meal and therefore arrive after the drinks. I think in fairness this is not correct. Anyone ordering toasted teacakes would expect them to arrive with the drinks not after the drinks had been consumed. This cafe seems to have adopted an unusual practice. Won't stop us from coming again as its a great facility.

Called today 1/05/24!at 3.30 wanted a cuppa but they were cleaning up so could only offer paper cups to take out or cold drinks or ice cream, refused , so my little Grandaughter who 4 needed a wee and because they were cleaning the toilets they said no so I walked out and she was upset, my husband had words with them and they relented and said ok she could go to the toilet but she was really upset and would not go back in,

A lovely place with lovely staff who cant do enough for you along with a great variety of food. However!!!! The admission of dogs especially on a wet day spoils it... Today my friend and I were sat having a relaxing coffee ready to order our lunch when 2 ladies arrived with a wet dog which had that awful wet dog smell, they sat behind us and allowed their dog on an extending lead to roam under our seats, jump up at the chairs muddying our bags & coats, then it got tangled around our seats. To our surprise the lady bent right in front of me announcing that her nose was running, sniffed loudly and said she had an unruly dog! Needless to say we walked out as the last thing we want to smell whilst eating is wet dog smell... We completely understand that since covid dog owners have increased enormously and business owners need accessibility for all to drive sales. What would help is a notice stating that dogs are to be kept on short leads, not to jump up at customers or sit on seats and if they are wet & smelly ask them to sit outside. It is a great cafe, its a shame the rude minority spoil it.

This place is a gem, a real asset to the park and to Rothwell. Food and drink very good, service excellent, even at busier times, and the prices are fair for the quality and quantity you get. Always a very welcoming atmosphere. I had a wander round the park first, it's a beautiful park and I was definitely ready for some warmth and some food afterwards. What's great is the place is also very community minded, they always seem to be looking for ways to contribute to the community. So we're very fortunate to have this place on our doorstep, it is one of many local businesses that really help make Rothwell what it is. Long may it continue!

Great cafe, staff very friendly and welcoming, very efficient and service was quick, food was excellent, price good, only criticism is the sausages could do with being thick ones, but will definitely be booking again

Came here with friends for breakfast on a rainy morning. The staff were very welcoming and its really nice that they have table service. The waitress gave us the right length of time to choose our food and drinks. The food itself was very nice and priced reasonably. Will definitely return.

Slow no bread buns on naked burger overpriced and overall just bad service it was 47.32 pounds for a woody burger an ace burger and a patty with cheese and fries. Fries are sepret

We had a great evening at the Pavilion celebrating my daughter’s and her friend’s 7th birthdays. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful in serving 20 children plus adults with food and drinks (not an easy job!) - and it was great value for money. We were lucky enough to catch a sunny evening so were able to enjoy the cafe’s outside area, the skate park and the lovely surroundings of Springhead Park.

Visited for lunch with friends and was warmly greeted by a pleasant young man who attended to us swiftly. The choice of food on the lunch menu was more than ample and the end result was delicious and very generous portions 😋 everyone in the group had different and all agreed was fabulous. The price was very reasonable too. Will definitely be returning to work our way through the menu ..have no bad words to say as from start to finish was made to feel welcome and all the staff were very attentive .

Visited the Pavilion with some friends for a bite too eat at lunch time. Great variety of food to offer on the menu with something to suite everyone’s dietary needs. Great customer service served with a smile. Portion sizes spot on and not over priced! Shout out to Jess with the cute milky designs on the Latè! Will defiantly return!

It was my first time visiting The Pavilion cafe today, i'll definitely be going again! The food was tasty & the service from the staff was fab. We sat inside today as it was raining but there's a lovely outside seating area for the sunny days! Xx

Very Very Slow service. You have to wait for someone to come outside to take your order Ridiculous and over prices.

This cafe has improved immensely since my review over a year ago. It now deserves the 5* rating I have given it. The breakfasts and sandwiches are the excellent. Although busy the wait for being served is good, which was my criticism of my last review. Staff are pleasant and very able. It is now open in the summer evenings on some days, but check.

Thought we’d grab a sandwich before heading to the swings with our niece. Service was ok but looking at the menu, thought it was quite overpriced. Went ahead with a takeaway order of ham & cheese panini and a ‘homemade egg mayonnaise’ sandwich (is there any other kind?) plus 1 Americano coffee. The price was £12 something. Ok I thought, with the increase in cost of living etc What we got was laughable. A tiny panini (5.70 I think) and a mediocre egg mayo sandwich. No side salad, very dry and very disappointing I’m afraid. The cafe must be doing very well with the prices they charge compared to the fare they provide. I’ll bring a picnic next time.

Stopped for a takeaway coffee but waited a long time without being served. Staff have a good way of avoiding eye contact and no one bothered to say how long it might be. Stood around for a while and no one waiting for takeaway had their drinks orders taken and a male member of staff started to be rude to some of the customers in the queue so decided to leave. Went once before for food and service was also slow then but not as bad as trying to get a takeaway it seems.

Been a few times and each time it has declined. Ordered a large breakfast, cold sausage a spoonful of beans . Not even warm bacon very cheap. And you put our toast together on a plate. Sorry not for us anymore.

Beware, don't go through the wrong gate when you visit, as you could be affronted by a frowning member of staff, who will let you know publicly what you did.

Used to be a great cafe, but now before you even get served you have rude staff, pathetic little gates installed to make it all one way (despite covid restrictions being long gone) and really rude self entitled staff. Prices gone up a lot, e.g....

This is a great place for breakfast, lunch or just a friendly coffee. Great for families , plenty of space to sit or grab a takeaway coffee and walk around the park. The staff are excellent and are so efficient. Thoroughly recommended 👍

Great cafe for a post parkrun coffee & a toasted tea cake which had a bonus of 15% discount for runners. Friendly staff, quick service, clean outside seating in the sunshine. Going to run here again & will recharge/recover here at The Pavilion.

The food is fresh and in the case of the full breakfast, piping hot. There is a good choice. The latte is nice and strong. There is plenty of staff, they are friendly and well organized. Open 8-5 7 days a week. Excellent cafe.

We often meet up at this lovely cafe and have breakfast, it’s always tasty and cooked how we like it. The staff are friendly and welcoming especially Tina who now knows us by name. We’ll be back again soon xx

Disgusted by the staffs attitude and lack of hygiene where a hair was in the ice cream and staff weren’t all wearing masks. I will never go to this caffe again and urge you all to do the same

Nice to grab a quick drink when out in the park with family... However 2 bacon sandwiches and 2 cans of drink somehow came to £11.50 which I didnt think was worth it.

A lovely little cafe on the edge of Springhead Park, Rothwell. A great place to call for breakfast, with really good cappuccinos. Efficient and friendly staff. Would highly recommend

Morning coffee or a lunchtime sandwich this place is great no frills cafe. Staff are always cheerful and the food consistently exactly what you want. A great family friendly place. I regularly visit for coffee and cake in the sun or a lunchtime sandwich.

Go for a refreshing exercise in the park and enjoy a drink at the end of your walk and even enjoy an ice cream. Great place.
