Becketts Bank in Leeds

Called in here today. Ordered a muffin with hash browns and a coffee. The food was delivered and on asking where my cup for my drink was I was told that would be delivered separately. Waited a further ten minutes , everyone else's cups were delivered but mine never turned up. The waitress wasn't interested and could have sorted this.

The place is filthy just ordered a meal the plate hot the Food cold taking it back to try again second time I'm the food just put into a microwave uneatable give this place a miss

Always consistently excellent and more than a touch of fair value. We all need a Spoons nearby, thankyou

This place have constant problems with the two coffee machines, I call in for a coffee daily and it's very rare the 2 machines are working without being short of various drinks.

Always busy has a great atmosphere

We were helped by the most incredible gentleman called Ash. He is extremely warm, polite, helpful and conscientious. Service was speedy and with one of the warmest smiles, like a bright ray of sunshine. It was honestly a profound experience, Ash takes positivity and enthusiasm in his work to levels beyond comprehension. ❤️ Will be returning.

It was a busy pub. The food was very nice, but the service was slow. I waited about 10 minutes for 2 pints. Prices are great though.

Chaotic! Food was taken back. Tables left dirty. Glasses n plates not collected. Spoons are going down hill!

I love the Wetherspoons app. Great for getting a table when I'm on my own at lunchtime. Beckett's Bank provides the usual high standard of 'spoons food, drink & service. I love it!

Classic Wetherspoon Pub! Breakfast and food are generally good to very good and the price is also very good thanks to various offers and menus. Lots of seating and a large beer selection. Coffee for breakfast can be refilled for free as often as you like - very good!

Had breakfast here and it was okay but I had the Korean bowl and it wasn't as good as other spoons it was too dry not enough sauce on it.

Really enjoy this Weatherspoons always a decent atmosphere. Usually some good Real Ales on too.

Good place for cheap good food, welcoming atmosphere with helpful staff. Power sockets are available at some tables should you need to recharge your mobile devices.

Its a Wetherspoons! Can get very busy at peak times including Saturday mquite. Can be difficult to get a seat. Hedley Verity a few minutes walk away and usually quiter. Like most Wetherspoons go there for price at the expense of quality.

Great, food, service and atmosphere.

Busy place. Took us a while to get a table. But as usual a good place for a quick cheap meal.

Cutlery and glasses were dirty. Even when we asked for more they still came dirty LOL.

We ordered some chicken bites, we ate them but were vod. We only ate as was starving and waited 45 minutes for the food. My partner ran to the toilet 15 min after eating and was sick and spent 25 mins on the toilet. I told a female manager and she said, what do you want me to do. You can't get food poisoning that quick . She was dismissive, rude and had a bad attitude

Usual good service food served in 10 minutes and was very good.

Very busy, very popular. Used app. Quick service considering most tables were full. Good value.

Good atmosphere, good prices & good beer what more would you want

Always one of the best options when choosing when to eat! Great variety of food, amazing quality and filling portions. The only lacking area is the servers.

Not bad I reckon we'll try different Spoons when we next come here for a gig. That's always a few meals not available on the food menu. Staff are okay but some could be better. Sometimes they'll just plonk your drink on the table without a word.

Sadly the pizza we had was extremely greasy

Rather worn Wetherspoons in the city centre. Service and staff were brilliant, but the homeless were coming in and begging, and others walking through drinking any left drinks made it not a great experience.

Food, service and atmosphere are excellent. My concern is about the dread locked security door black man in the weekends, at times he has turbine. When getting in he makes people uncomfortable by eying badly,no greetings and so on, bad atmosphere at the door entrance makes us uncomfortable. Sometimes alot is happening such as quarrells and fights and he's absent. He seems to be passing time standing there and chatting women of his like and exchanging mobile numbers.

A busy atmosphere, on a late Friday afternoon. Relatively easy to find seating or an empty table. There's a wide selection of food on offer, served throughout the day. The food is good value, cooked (or prepped) to order, and is tasty enough. Food service was quick. The staff are efficient and friendly.

Always good for a quick pint when in Leeds.

This is a large, fairly non-descript, ‘lively’ place on two floors. The workers were business-like and efficient , if rather sub-zero in terms of personal warmth- understandable, really, when you consider the many real ‘challenges’ they face here. Bar and food prices, as usual for a Spoons, are unrivalled in the city. Top tip: the upper floor is decidedly less ‘frenetic’ than the ground.

The place itself was a typical wetherspoon. However the food was probably the worst I have tasted in the country. The fish stunk of ammonia. The chips were either blanched or re-cooked. When I realise the stink was coming from my fish it was too late as I had eaten half of it. Let's just say I did overtime in the bathroom afterwards. For the drinks it was a great range and they were served very well and also kept very well for the real ales. It was the food that let the place down.

Server who brought our food out just put it on the table did not say a word and just walked off, we didn't get our drinks with the meal I had to go to the bar and eventually got them, very poor service and unfortunately we will not use again

Great food - could have done with more staff behind the bar, but when I was served, staff were polite and friendly , and sevice and quality of food was good.

Nice little weatherspoon in Leeds. Good value for money. Good portion size. One little problem with most wetherspoon is they never serve mushy peas hot for some reason. Never mind it was nice and I would return and recommend it to others

Vine aquí para comer algo barato antes de un concierto local. Eran alrededor de la 1 - 2 pm y el lugar estaba lloviznando. La aplicación no funcionaba, así que tuve que pedir en el bar, que tomó un tiempo y luego el pedido llegó no tan ordenado. Mientras esperaba la comida notó que la mujer en la mesa de al lado estaba siendo f**gered por su novio - quédate con clase Leeds!

Food and drink fine but why don’t they wipe/clean the tables when people leave and they are empty?. I am here now (just about to leave) and when I arrived it was impossible to find a table that wasn’t sticky and covered with spilled drink etc. in the end I covered a table with food menus so I could then order food and drink and have my lunch without sticking to the table! A table of 4 had just come empty next to mine and the staff member cleared it of glasses etc but didn’t wipe it down. A young couple have just sat there and were disgusted with the dirty table …..and left. I do love Wetherspoons and I understand if staff are busy but this must be an absolute basic?

Spot on good food and service well done

Honestly, I can not express how utterly pathetic this place was. We visited Leeds for the magic weekend. Came here Sunday for two breakfasts and two lunches. We were surprised that it wasn't busier, but maybe people know how bad it is. Found a table, table 1 Went on the app. The app was down. We asked one of the staff, who was nice, if food was being served, they stated that it was, but you needed to go the bar. No big deal. Went the bar got constantly ignored as people walked up and got served. I was beginning to think I'd become invisible overnight. Finally got served. There were no vegetarian burgers on the menu at all. They do have plant based and hallumi, but no vegetable ones. No chicken breast burgers. They have deep-fried chicken burgers but no grilled chicken. Decided on Pizzas - Sorry no pizzas. Went for Panninis - Sorry no Panninis. There wasn't a single vegetarian dish on for my wife. I returned to the table and decided to order drinks on the App as I didn't want to be ignored a second time. Meanwhile, my brother and sister in law ordered a large breakfast. It came with chips instead of hash browns. The chips were utterly disgusting. They were not Wetherspoon Chips, but refried chips from god knows where. The toast was a crime against the trade description act and could not even be held up without curling over. My sister in law got a refund as it was disgraceful, but my brother just ate his as he knew there was nothing else. When my sister in law asked about the hash browns, she was told that they had run out. Meanwhile twenty minutes later we went to the bar to enquire about our drinks which hadn't arrived. We gave up on them as well and got a refund. Walked out of the pub in disbelief. Oh, and to add insult to injury as we were walking out, there was plate after plate going out the kitchen of breakfast with, guess what??? Yes, HASH BROWNS. We went to the Griffin Greene King pub and wish we had just gone there first. One thing I will say was that the bouncers were lovely as we went in. They were the highlight of a terrible experience.

Do not go here if you want to wait 1 hour for a burger!!!!!! We came here as we were going to a concert on 28.08.2024 around 5pm we arrived and placed orders on the app. 10 minutes later our drinks came, and my brothers food came. 20 minutes later we were missing a burger, it was busy so thought I’d give them the benefit of the doubt. 40 minutes passed I went inside to ask, the lady on the bar was confused and said ‘have you not already received it?’ I said no obviously. She then went into the kitchen came out and said they were redoing my food. 25 minutes later, still no food after being confirmed by the TL it was going to be 5 minutes. We then had to ask AGAIN in which the TL gave us a free drink and confirmed refund. We then had to go in again and ask, we were told the screen was ‘purple’ and they couldn’t see how long it was going to be. My brother explained he wasn’t moving until the food came out, which an hour later they brought it. I’m not usually a complainer but how this was handled was terrible, not to mention the fact your staff were stood vaping around the outside area on shift and in uniform! Just doesn’t look great. Appreciate the refund, but 1 hour for a burger is just not on, considering tables that came after us got their food quicker! I get mistakes can happen but even after we raised it the first time nothing seemed to get done.

Staff at the bar really rude; took my filthy glass that the waitress had brought to me back, as sadly I had just poured a full bottle of koperberg into it, note daughter was pissing herself laughing as she had already told me they don't wash the glasses properly here. Staff member looked at the glass and couldn't understand why I was complaining obviously she thinks this is acceptable. She looked me like I was dirt and didn't even apologise. Just pushed a new bottle at me and walked off. Come on weatherspoons get staff that have customer service

Nuestra última visita aquí fue un poco de un accidente de coche, pero pensamos en darle otra oportunidad. Nos sentamos fuera y para ser honesto era ligeramente mejor en tanto que era más tranquilo. El lugar necesita una buena limpieza. No haría falta mucho para que el exterior alcanzara un nivel decente si alguien tomara la iniciativa.

Alojarse cerca, así que entró para un par de bebidas y comida en 2 ocasiones. La 1 calle cuando el lugar estaba lleno tuvimos suerte de conseguir una mesa. Pedimos en la aplicación. Opté por el brunch vegetariano, pero debido a un problema de nevera algunos artículos no están disponibles, pero el personal era muy educado y me hizo grandes sugerencias alternativas. 2a vez pedimos pizza, que era genial. Vino de rosa decente. Buen ambiente para una noche de mitad de semana.

Was returning home after a short break to Leeds to visit family so took advantage of a meal and drink before our return home .

Quite a busy place, but the service was fast. Was going to have some food at this location but it seems that they have nothing from the Grill (ie Steaks)

A typical Wetherspoons/Lloyds No.1 pub, close to Leeds station. Didn't have any food, just drinks. Good atmosphere but service a little slow. Reasonably priced drinks.

Ordered breakfast waited 40 minutes to get served a breakfast with chips no hash browns and an egg full of shell sent it back to receive the exact same breakfast 20 minutes later stone cold. No apologies at all me and my sister received 5 cold disgusting breakfasts and the woman would only refund one even though mine was sent back to the kitchen cause we only took one to the bar to complain (the second time) Before we even received the sub par dishes the lad couldn’t even bring me cofffee cup I ordered. Brought the other drinks 20 minutes after ordering when asked for the coffee cup which he seen on the recipeipt he just said oh it wasn’t there then didn’t bring me one and I had to go get it from the bar.

Horrendous breakfast full of egg shell, stone cold and chips not hash browns. Sent back and still cold breakfast. Staff couldn’t care less. I get it’s just a spoons but I’d expect something edible

I got the triple American burger, wow it was amazing. Fast service too ,ordered on the app and it was on our table in 10mins.

Standard bank spoons nowt special.

My fiance and her friend were sat on the ground floor with my 2 month old daughter when a member of staff who had overstacked her dirty dishes on the second floor dropped a knife which hit her friend who was holding my daughter at the time. What if this had hit the babys face? Didn't even have the courtesy to apologise. Madness.

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel unwelcome by a male team member. He seemed disengaged and looked down on us when we were ordering, which made us feel very uncomfortable. To make matters worse, I have a service dog, and this staff member demanded that I leave immediately upon seeing my service dog. When I requested to speak with a manager about the matter, he spoke to her within earshot of us, and his words were highly unprofessional. We had come for a well-deserved catch-up with family, but this experience was upsetting and far from what we expected from a hospitality establishment. As a result, we will not be returning, and I felt compelled to share my experience in the hope that no other customers have to go through what we did. I would appreciate it if you could look into this matter and ensure that appropriate actions are taken to improve customer service at your establishment. Thank you for your attention to this serious matter. I look forward to your response

Really enjoyed lunch here, the food was hot and tasty. The staff were excellent both attentive and friendly. Enjoyed reading the history of the building that the name comes from.

Food was 45 mins after order. They said I gave the wrong table number. When it did arrive it was over cooked as if it had been sitting on the hot plate very dry Fish n Chips. The atmosphere was ruined due to customers arguing and threatening each other. This happened at two separate tables within 20 minutes.

Food haven't tried ,went for few drinks with friends.. good place for evening hang out with friends... But not as great as other whetherspon near Marion centre.. ordered Bluemoon and rudells.. good place overall nice
