The Picture House in Leeds

Went in about 8pm and the ladies toilets were disgusting. Cubicles - no toilet paper (went in 4 before I found some), toilet paper all over the floor, toilets blocked etc. I know that a lot is down to the customers, but it should still be sorted. The chart said they'd not been cleaned since about 3.30

Yet again cold food just not acceptable

It's looking a bit worn down these days. The coffee machines only partially work, and have been for the last year or so. It's fine for what it is, but used to be much nicer. Update 2024- coffee machines still don't serve mochas!

Kids running wild,parents not bothered,and staff not bothered,and it's a case of clear your own tables.They need more staff to keep a check on what going on,toilets are a disgrace,it's a shame could be a nice pub.

Well run pub ,hardworking staff.

Fast and prompt service even though it was full when we got there. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. We ordered (on the picture) the burrito bowl, chicken curry with coconut rice, haloumi cheese, brianni and samosa. We also had desserts but didn't take a photo. Apple crumble with vanilla ice cream and brownie with ice cream. They were also very delicious. It was busy and noisy atmosphere but everyone was keeping to themselves, no unnecessary shouting or screaming. The only issue I had was with the toilets. The floor of one stall was really dirty. I am hoping they got to clean up at more quiet time.

Good breakfast at a really good price. Service is quick and unlimited. The drinks refill is a bonus.

This is the worst wetherspoons I have ever been to it is full of druggie alcoholic types is dark and dirty inside perfect for the weird chav types who live round here the food came cold beer tasted flat and watered down wouldn't reccomend to anyone reality it needs shutting down😡😡

Me and my partner go in on a regular basis, when in town. We were in last night 30/08/24 and noticed Andrew the manager literally working with all the staff, serving food to customers, cleaning tables and acknowledging customers. I myself was a manager in retail and worked with the staff. It is great to see a manager getting stuck in with staff and not , just giving orders out like most companies do. Great respect for him. And all staff are good workers.

Another old cinema picked up by the Wetherspoons chain and turned into a pub flogging cheap food and drinks to the masses. Only wanted a quick drinks break so we fought our way into the entrance through the hoards of smokers and drunks milling outside the pub like flies on a dog's doodahs. It was pretty grim out there and we were pleased of the fresher air inside the building. It was busy, it was rough, it was unwelcoming. We ordered some soft drinks and settled at a table. And a table that hadn't had a wipe down for weeks seemingly. It just wasn't pleasant at all. Still, we did get that drink, we drank it and exited the place like vindaloo curry through an infected colon.

Came in ordered an eggs benedict and american breakfast. Eggs benedict borderline , had a very slight run from the eggs . American breakfast had rock hard eggs so sent back for a English large breakfast. When that came the bacon looked like it was raw , hard eggs again and one mushroom. Could jot be bothered complaining again as hungry and the staff attidutes were horrendous. All walking round like they could not give an arse. Mouths and faves looking like thunder. Really bad experience today

Decore is lovely. Very busy. We found it difficult to get a table big enough to accommodate our group. Small inside with extensive rooftop outdoor seating and also ground floor outside seating. A shame they haven't a roof over the roof top seating as it was too cold when we there and would have given the place more warm comfortable seating. Food tje usual Weatherspoons microwave style food as we are accustomed too. Drink and food very reasonably priced. Food not as warm as id expect. Paid parking quite close to the venue.

Rude as hell waitress! She made a mistake with our food, didn’t have the decency to apologise for HER mistake!! Turns out it was another tables meal! No sorry, after very bluntly, telling me that I was wrong and this is what I ordered, I knew (obviously) what I had bloody ordered!!! All she had to be was sorry! Shame really as the food was lovely….. Once I actually got what I ordered!!!

This is a great location. Good parking behind the building and very cheap pricing compared to other locations. We went to 4 spoons while visiting from Canada and this was the cheapest with all locations having different prices.

We come here often and service is usually great. However today we came, we ordered a chicken basket with chips, as it’s a bank we would completely understand if the kitchen took a bit longer to get the food out but they were spot on. We were sat on table 20 ( the booth right opposite the kitchen) and saw our food sit for 13 minutes, it was only when the Chef asked a server to bring over our food that it got to us. Upon arrival we expected some sort of decent apology but he just stated that there was a “mix up” and walked away. Unsure of what the mix up was when we saw him obviously ignoring the pass to clean tables, food tasted stale and was very disappointing. Will be weary about returning for food.

Average ... Coffee/Tea machines more needed and it's scruffy inside.

Entered the venue and as there were 7 of us we were moving tables together- the young man Aidan was so delightful. He cleared the table, cleaned it and asked if we needed menus etc. Such a lovely young man and never stopped clearing and asking customers of they were OK and needed anything. Lovely young man- credit to the place, not seen this and we come to this venue regularly

Understaffed, when food was served it was going cold because it had been waiting at the serving hatch for over 10 mins , poor service as staff were very slow or talking to each other instead of serving food, very disappointing

A good place in the centre of town

Popped in after not having been for a while. Staff were friendly and drinks cheap. Shame it was so filthy. Food and rubbish all over the floor. Sticky tables. Piled high with plates and glasses. It wasn't even busy and you can see why.

Got accused of doing drugs in toilet. Couldn’t believe it.

We ordered a so-called "gourmet" Tennessee burger and some loaded fries. The burger, when it arrived, was TINY. Two smashed, overcooked patties in a small bun. I've heard of 'shrinkflation', but usually that occurs over time and is barely noticeable. This minuscule offering was significantly smaller than the equivalent at other Wetherspoons branches we've ordered from in the recent past. It was dry and unpleasant. The loaded fries were soggy and hardly 'loaded' at all. We left most of them. Wetherspoons' consistency is one of the reasons we have eaten at their restaurants quite regularly, but this branch really let the side down. The waiter didn't ask us how our meal was at any point, so there was no opportunity to raise our complaint at the time.

Came in and ordered drinks on the app specifically asking for straws. Received no straws and was told to go to the bar to get them which turned out to be a lie - no straws in sight. Also had no ice which would be nice to know.

Bit dissapointed with breakfast, cold bacon egg shell in my eggs. Other than that clean environment and pleasant staff

Wetherspoons used to be the place for cheap and cheerful food. Now it's just cheap. The burger was tiny and the loaded fries where not loaded more sprinkled on.

Not been here for over a year, but it's just as bad as it was before. Filthy uncleared tables. Very definitely a DIY approach to clearing tables. Staff could give lessons to Victor Meldrew in being miserable. Toilets disgraceful, broken locks. Carpet no longer has a pattern, it's so dirty. Bar staff have no idea who is next at the bar, just serve the person in front of them. If Carlsberg did pubs, even they wouldn't manage anything this bad. Needs to be deep cleaned, and staffed with people who take pride in their work, not the lazy uninterested staff there.

Food came out cold, beans were freezing bacon inedible, toast might as well of come from the freezer. We sent one of the breakfasts back because of how cold it was and came back out just as bad. Unhappy experience overall. I'll return. Just not for breakfast! We explained to the manager how unhappy we were with the quality of the food and she just said I'll let the chef know.

Horrible place, cold food, tables were filthy, full of drinkers at noon on a saturday, staff all disinterested....will not be visiting again

We didn't have anything to eat as we just went to meet friends. Staff are really friendly, and the best thing is there is toilets on the main floor, so there is no going upstairs, lol. This was our first time here, and we are planning another trip here to try the food. Parking not sure as we have a blue badge, so we can park anywhere within reasonable walking distance so maybe check before going. I think there maybe another entrance but not sure. Will update this once we have been again

Make a mean ham n mushroom pizza

You get value for money here. I've never sent a meal back and the cost has never broken the bank. I will be back 😀

Every meal in witherspoons is always cold so won't be eating there again but the beer is always cold

Usual average Wetherspoons no frills, all fine, however the “bleeper” they have now for the app orders is massively annoying, they really need to think of an alternative.

Food was fast and good only thing was no mushy peas had to have beans instead

Loose handrails on steps going in,ladies toilets not flushing properly,also gents toilets not flushing rights ,urinals out of order this place needs shutting down and a thorough overhaul,everywhere is dirty.

Food always comes out quickly. Piping hot and friendly staff that made sure everything was okay. Wasn't too much trouble to get extra bits for us.

Loud Drunks Attitude on one of the bar staff too that didn’t seem to give two hoots about customers. Food is ok though. But at the moment I think I’d prefer to visit other bars in Morley to have the break away from the same old people

That Owen Is amazing, so nice and kind, tall and handsome. Can’t forget about that Alfie he’s a nice kid does your drinks well and will always give you a smile. That James loves a good kopperberg x

Highly recommend the picture house. Food was lovely cooked as it should be. And excellent service. Atmosphere is fantastic and no need to book a table just turn up. Plenty parking nearby and easy acces from the precint.

What a great pub! Such a shame that my local (The Crossed Shuttles, Pudsey) doesn't come close to this place. Same beers, same menu, but such a massive difference!

Drinks and food, what else do yer need. Quick service also.

Called in for a quick beer with my partner, I noticed there was a staff member from the Wakefield spoons, now one of the team managers at Morley, I spoke to her and she basically just ignored me, don't think this is professional from a management member. All other staff were friendly and polite, won't go back to that venue again.

This place is cold,heating on in toilets but no heating on elsewhere,everyone sat with coats on,this is disgusting,don't try to tell me they can't afford to put heating on,with the money they take in.

The heating was broken during a cold spell of weather. Otherwise usual Wetherspoon value for money.

Nice freshly cooked,had scampi and chips and peas. Always popular place to visit.

Ordered food via app. Nearly 10 mins later we informed they don't have 1 of the meals we ordered and the guy walks away another good 6 minutes before we even get the drinks we ordered then a team leader appears to ask about the refund so was told obviously need a refund for the meal we can't have including the added extra. Food appears wirh part of unavailable meal and kid is confused as to why we don't want the added side obviously takes some kind of intelligence to understand why it was being sent back and sadly tonight they seem to be lacking intelligent staff. The food that did arrive was overcooked and wasn't as nice as the same dish is at other spoons which on theory should taste pretty much the same everywhere as its either grilled deep fried or microwaved so can't be hard to get wrong. Very disappointing visit

It was very warm ,on a freezing day out side,I got small fish n chips,I think they cut my piece of fish into 3 bits, and I got a very scratty tail end,served with a miniscule portion of chips,and a none existant portion of peas, and got robbed to the tune of. £7:50,think I'll give the picture house a wide berth in future.

Had a great Christmas Eve meal here, arrived quickly, atmosphere was great

Very loud but mostly over charged us for our order ended up giving us the wrong food charged 42.00 for what was supposed to be 3 meals with soft drinks turned into 4 meals and extras which would have naturally been included in the meal! Then didn't even bother offer us a refund for the overcharging not very cleansy had to ask for table to be cleaned of which she just wiped it with a already used wet cloth in her pocket...so ended up doing it myself with hand sanitizer...all together was supposed to be a nice meal ended in nightmare over charging was ridiculous for 8/9.00 meals won't be returning.

Witherspoons is always a good deal for food but for some reason the last four times I have had a breakfast the beans have been stone cold and it's not just exclusive to the picture house it's elsewhere must be a Witherspoon thing cold beans is the normal thing it puts me right off

Only went out for drinks. Busy but easy going. Table service available on app. Saved queuing at the bar.

Rely on Spoons for great variety and value

Came in today. Was incredibly busy yet the food was fresh, hot, tasty, succulent and super quick. Had some chicken strips and sticky toffee pudding and honestly my day was made

Firstly, the hot chocolate section of the coffee machine has been consistently non-functional for months. This persistent issue significantly impacts the beverage options available and should be addressed promptly for the benefit of customers. On a more concerning note, the staff at this Wetherspoons location lack basic welcoming and interaction skills. Their demeanor is notably unwelcoming, with zero smiles and instances of pointed, disrespectful treatment. It feels as though customers are treated as if they are beneath the staff, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. Adding to the frustration is the frequent absence of stirring sticks for coffees and toothpicks. These are basic amenities that should be readily available, and their consistent absence reflects poorly on the establishment’s attention to detail and customer satisfaction. I hope this feedback serves as an opportunity for improvement. Enhancing staff training for better customer service and addressing the ongoing issues with the coffee machine and amenities would significantly enhance the overall customer experience at Wetherspoons.

We had Eggs Benedict with a hash brown each. It was ok but I don't think I'd have them again. Everything was JUST warm bordering on cold. Not sure if the muffins had actually seen a grill/toaster. The eggs were just a bit runny & only just warm The sauce was alright. Hash brown looked like it hadn't been cooked, again it was just warm. Plus side, tables were clean & not sticky, staff were polite and attentive.

Gone downhill food wise.!. Gone uphill with prices.! Only praise I can give them is beer was good. Shame really.

Monthly call at wheatherspones had a few drinks and then ordered a meal, there was not that many people in but when tried to order special they had all gone, so had to pay full price. There was no heating and the place was freezing, every body in the place was wearing there Over coats , this is the worst wheathspoones in the country, they try to run it as just a pub and not as some wear that you can eat as well, some one needs to do something about it.or the place will end up closing down.
