El gato gordo tenía una larga historia como pionero en el circuito real de cerveza en Sheffield. Siempre se puede confiar en él para un buen ambiente, buen servicio y una gran cerveza. En nuestra visita de esta noche el servicio era indiferente, el personal se centró en el cuestionario en lugar de los bebedores. La conversación fue imposible debido al ruido del cuestionario. Este pub claramente quiere atraer a una clientela diferente a la que lo ha convertido en un éxito durante los últimos 30 años. Uno para evitar

We ate here on a Saturday night. Warm welcome from the owner. The food is traditional pub grub such as cottage pie, liver and onions, sausage and mash, chilli, scampi etc. all home cooked.

Opened under new management on Friday and we went for lunch on Sunday. They have done an amazing job on the refurb, the place looks great. The food was delicious and it was nice to see some familiar faces of staff from The Dore helping to train the new team. Such a shame to see old negative reviews - I would definitely recommend giving it a try. We will be back soon!

Essendo a meta strada tra Sheffield e Manchestermi sono fermato in questo Hotel nel centro del Peak District. Situato in una zona che idealmente rappresenta l'inghilterra, molto verde e molto ventosa. Le camere sono pulite e spaziose cosi come il bagno. Staff cordialissimo, ho cenato con birra "Ale" tipica di quelle zone, hamburger e sticky toffea pudding. Che dire tutto ottimo sono andato a letto contento. La mattina ho fatto colazione un po a buffet e per i caldi alla carta ma devo dire tutto molto veloce e buono. niente di complicato ma comunque buono. ce wi fi quasi in tutta la struttura. il bar è come il tipico pub o taverna di passaggio,dove si puo sorseggiare una buona birra e una jacket potato su un divano. consigliato anche per chi vuole correre fuori dalla struttura. C'è un paesaggio surreale.

¡Quería dejar una reseña ya que no parece haber sido revisada en yonks! Vinimos para el almuerzo del domingo y disfrutamos de un sabor muy bueno y fantástica relación calidad-precio comida. Domingo asados, bocadillos de carne caliente, todo con salsa y verduras. No puede salir mal y volverá. Gracias al amable personal!

Great location,pie and peas delicious, nice staff and DJ was brilliant, making it a great atmosphere

Randonly open and closed. I think it has been taken over privately from the brewery. Open when it should be closed, closed when it should be open. Very strange. Its like someone operating it like their own living room. Beer ok, but the lines aren't used regularly so beer has that weird drain smell. No one came in when I was there.

We been going for years but tonight absolutely rubbish service , one waitress stood about a ll time we was there ,been waiting 20 minutes so asked manager if I should go to bar and order he said he would take it , food arrived and was really good so we ate dinner and waited for any signs of life, all I saw is waiters disappearing or busy doing nothing, I appreciate they were busy but at least 2 people were stood about it was annoying so I asked one for a desert menu and she said sure one minute 15 minutes later nobody came so I pulled someone and asked for bill 20 minutes later nothing!! So my wife payed at bar and we left, not going back again and I use to recommend all my friends but not anymore
