We ate here on a Saturday night. Warm welcome from the owner. The food is traditional pub grub such as cottage pie, liver and onions, sausage and mash, chilli, scampi etc. all home cooked.

Brilliant, absolute value for money, excellent atmosphere and good people

He estado en el Norfolk Arms un par de veces para las reuniones de BMC Peak Área cuando solían celebrarse aquí y parar en paseos / paseos en bicicleta de montaña y siempre me pareció un buen pub para parar a tomar una cerveza, o una cerveza como parte de un pequeño grupo. El domingo pasado reservé para mí y otros 24 colegas para almorzar en el punto medio de un paseo. El personal era servicial y educado al organizar la reserva y tomar nuestra reserva de comida. La comida era excelente y la cerveza "bien cuidada", también llegó a tiempo, los precios son sensatos para lo que se obtiene también. En resumen, si estás en la zona y quieres algo de comida, o una bebida, The Norfolk Arms es una gran opción!

Good food, fairly quick to serve

El gato gordo tenía una larga historia como pionero en el circuito real de cerveza en Sheffield. Siempre se puede confiar en él para un buen ambiente, buen servicio y una gran cerveza. En nuestra visita de esta noche el servicio era indiferente, el personal se centró en el cuestionario en lugar de los bebedores. La conversación fue imposible debido al ruido del cuestionario. Este pub claramente quiere atraer a una clientela diferente a la que lo ha convertido en un éxito durante los últimos 30 años. Uno para evitar

Food was freezing, even though it was not busy. The ‘bean’ burger is in fact falafel. Wanted to complain however there was no body to complain to. Awful place. Living off of the views of the river.

Usually I enjoy the peacock,the food had always been good.On this occasion it was a let down. I ordered the steak and ale pie with mash and peas which i have had before and was my favourite choice off the menu .The pie was hot on the outside but cold in the middle.I informed a member of staff who didn't even apologise ,she took my plate away and came back about 5 minutes later,same pie but now it was steaming hot.I presume they just popped it In the microwave.An apology would've been appreciated !

Fuimos a almorzar el domingo a Fairway, Birley. Gran comida y servicio era bueno, despie estar muy ocupado a media tarde un domingo. Gracias. Volveremos.

visited 15th may 2025 Lovely setting and restaurant, food was great reasonably priced, we were seated upstairs in a small room to the left, just a couple of niggles, The chairs seemed a little low for the table, and the bench seat was too high to be comfortable. With it being a small room, we were very close to the next table, luckily no one was seated there but it would have made us uncomfortable had there been people seated. Just wonder why other diners feel the need to shout across the table when they are only a couple of feet away, but thats just other people being inconsiderate, nothing to do with the restaurant. Good food, kind setvice. A nice place where you can enjoy a breakfast or sandwich. Some plates have reasonable prices, others look overpriced.

Randonly open and closed. I think it has been taken over privately from the brewery. Open when it should be closed, closed when it should be open. Very strange. Its like someone operating it like their own living room. Beer ok, but the lines aren't used regularly so beer has that weird drain smell. No one came in when I was there.

So. I’ll start by saying the Sunday dinner is usually amazing. Which is why we went. But, fancying a burger we ordered one. The (£18.50) “wagon smashed burger” with stilton cheese . First bite, “what is this?!” No cheese, bread to burger ratio way off (in favour of more bread..stale. ) , meat - dry and gristly. We continued to taste it , trying to find the Stilton . We decided there was no Stilton and we were sure it was either the totally wrong burger or it was just a bad day in the kitchen. We mentioned it to staff and they said “ it’s cus the Stilton is in the sauce and maybe you can’t taste it ..I’ve told the kitchen and they say thank you for letting us know, I see you have already payed so we can offer you a coffee “ a coffee at 5pm.. no offer of a refund and £18.50 down on a very underwhelming burger. I crammed as many chips in my mouth as I could and left hungry. Go get a maccies instead.

We been going for years but tonight absolutely rubbish service , one waitress stood about a ll time we was there ,been waiting 20 minutes so asked manager if I should go to bar and order he said he would take it , food arrived and was really good so we ate dinner and waited for any signs of life, all I saw is waiters disappearing or busy doing nothing, I appreciate they were busy but at least 2 people were stood about it was annoying so I asked one for a desert menu and she said sure one minute 15 minutes later nobody came so I pulled someone and asked for bill 20 minutes later nothing!! So my wife payed at bar and we left, not going back again and I use to recommend all my friends but not anymore
