What a lovely place . First time visiting today for coffee and cake and I am so glad I did. I will definitely be back. The staff and service were excellent, I didn’t realise you couldn’t pay on card but wasn’t a problem they were happy for me to go and get some cash from the post office, I felt really bad , thanks again 😊

We had my Dad's wake at Ashby Decoy, everyone was so helpful and friendly. The room looked out onto the golf course where Dad played most of his life. Very special afternoon & beautiful buffet provided by Victoria. Thanlyou to everyone. Highly recommended. X

A little disappointed really, service was really good, but the food average - ordered the chicken kebab which was just okay, not brilliant. But the most disappointing aspect was ordering our dessert, but as we were after 9pm the kitchen had closed. We were late diners, arrived at 8.15 but when we ordered our main we mention we would like a dessert so when we were faced ordering and told, sorry the kitchen is now closed, we were left very disappointed indeed - not good really as the staff should have really come to us, but didn't. Ho hum - we dined out the second evening, great meal locally, far superior food and service.

Whilst some of the food was okay some elements were very poor and our children left much uneaten, never before!!!. Staff had to be asked for menus, condiments and just didn't seem interested, all bar the chef who came out to ask of the food. He was apologetic but we couldn't help thinking that he knew not all was good before it reached us? Disappointing range of beer, loud and bad language from the other end of the bar too. Sadly we won't be going back, perhaps we are not the clientele they want to cater for?

Breakfast Wraps are a must try, absolute steal at £3.50! Been coming every week for ages, hope they don’t put the prices up!

Large car park lots of amenities around friendly cute iron bar for pre match drinks and wonderful venue for intermate events when not a match day

Enjoyed the Saturday evening music Ska soul reggae.

Discovered they do breakfast here, so popped in for a spontaneous visit. Was pleasantly surprised. You can have a cooked or continental breakfast and keep going back to help yourself for a set price. Good range of food. Staff helpful. Would definitely visit again.

Had a lovely time. Great value food, nice wine selection and 2 for 1 cocktails. The best thing was the brilliant Stuart who looked after us, nothing was too much trouble for him and he went above and beyond to make our night fun. Lovely atmosphere, nice and buzzy but not crazy busy and our food courses came at the perfect pace.

Highly recommend this restaurant. We came as a large party of 10. The staff were all so friendly and attentive. Our meals were amazing, there is such an array of choices and superbly presented. Brilliant value for money. Highly recommend.

Overpriced food definitely, we queued for our order, drinks came soon enough, but had to wait 25 minutes before the food arrived. We both chose the club sandwich with chips, the chips were cold and the bread was quite dry. Mentioned it to a waitress who said she would tell kitchen but didn’t do anything about it. I understand they cater for dogs but when some people are bringing in 3 & 4 dogs it becomes a bit crowded. There is no separation area for none dog people, so it’s quite possible you will be sitting on a table near a dog. Not a relaxing place to have a meal, the constant scraping of chairs on the floor it’s like fingernails scratching down a board.

Had a rather unpleasant meal here 31/01/25. The steak was riddled with un-chewable fatty lumps, the chips had been recooked in the fryer and only tasted of oil. My wife had some chicken which tasted the same as the chips. Very disappointed with this, £40 was wasted on disgusting food we and will not be going back anytime soon.
