Excellent service both breakfast and dinner. The steak was cooked to perfection. The service is always friendly with Owen from dinner and Linda for breakfast, always pleasant, been coming here for years and always book this restaurant when on work travels.

I recently visited the Beefeater in Scunthorpe, and my experience was outstanding thanks to both the exceptional service and the quality of the food. Natasha, one of the staff members, truely went above and beyond to ensure our visit was perfect. Her friendly demeanor, professionalism, and attention to detail made us feel incredibly welcomed. She was attentive without being intrusive, offering helpful recommendations and ensuring everything was just right throughout the meal. Natasha’s exemplary service paired with the delicious food made this a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend the Beefeater in Scunthorpe and will certainly return in the future.

Service was excellent. We were in a large party and didn't have to wait too long for food which arrived for all of us at the same time. Food was mainly ok but a couple of steaks weren't quite cooked as requested

Called for breakfast meeting, this being the second time in a month. The first time was not great, but I thought we would give it another try. I wish we didn't. Maybe when they first served up 7.00 its not so bad, but we went at 9.00 eggs were like bullets, and the rest of the food was really bad way overcooked, not burned but dried out. We have decided next time to go morrisons. At least it's freshly cooked and better quality, in my opinion.

Pre booked our table when we got there waited ten minutes to be seated even though we where five minutes early. Ordered our meal .which took absolutely ages. While waiting for our meal which by the way it wasn't a busy day . Another couple wated ages to pay for there meal . When we eventually got our steaks we ordered medium mine was nearly rare my partners was well done . The peas and steak were cold the only hot food was the chips . When we eventually got asked if our meal was ok we told him about the steaks which we had eaten half of and didn't have the time to wait for another to be cooked. So disappointed 😞. Last time we went it was a similar sinareo but put it down to it being a bit busier.

The Anchor is a strange place, it's food is average yet charges a higher rate. The staff try to push extra on you when ordering. The website offers more than it actually offers, we couldn't get a subday carvery, though it clearly advertised it on a Google search. This needs addressing.

Shown to the table and drinks order taken. Ten minutes later and drinks still not served. Drinks ordered again and they turn up 8 minutes later. Only one choice of three meats for the Sunday roast and this was at 14:15 pm. Service was terrible. First time I have been here for years and still no better.

We visited on a Wednesday evening with no pre booking. We were seated straight away and a high chair brought over immediately. Staff were friendly and welcoming, it’s still table service which is a nice change as most pubs are now order at the bar. Menu isn’t huge but has enough to pick from. We all enjoyed our meals and everything was warm and served quickly. Top tip for kids: order the side order of Mac and cheese instead of the kids one if they won’t eat vegetables 😂

Our server stew was amazing he gave us high fives and he gave my friend 6 corn on the cobs and he called us his friends so we got 3 tomato ketchup pots which is amazing I like stew ask for him as your server especially if you have kids.

Lovely breakfast and the lady that served us was nice. sadly the coffee machine was broken only a few coffees available so I can’t give full marks, also the Mens toilet stank of wee and that was despite being cleaned. This is nothing to do with the staff more the owners need to sort it out, even the outside is looking tired. But we went there for a nice breakfast and that is what we got.

Absolutely worst fillet steak I've ever had, I couldn't eat over 60 percent, totally full off fat, the steak came with 5mm of over cooked carbon on the top. I complained and all they knocked off was £4.75, to top it all we got charged for sweets we didn't have so had to get that refunded.

We visit every Sunday morning for breakfast, simply because our son has an eating disorder and it is the only place we can sit as a family and enjoy a meal. Service is excellent and all staff are super welcoming and friendly.

Family of four, dining for breakfast. Polite, efficient staff who seated us quickly & explained where everything was. Everything that one requires for a breakfast & refills constantly coming out. At £10.99 a person it is at the upper end of our price bracket, but it set us up for a busy day ahead.

Came in for a birthday meal and it was so cold in the restaurant food was ok but nothing special.

Visited for breakfast - really nice food, fresh and tasty. On the negative - when we arrived we didn’t have very nice welcome, felt like we were an inconvenience by one member of staff. The place was extremely quiet but still seemed very stressed. Had such great service from the Grimsby site so was just disappointing with the service.

Had to look for staff to get served and then go to the toilet to find both cubicles with locks broken. Door kept opening so had to hold it shut at the same time as evacuating my bowls

Tye table was booked for a fathers dsy meal. Got there nice and early. Showed to the table. The waitress came over, and the meal I wanted was not available. So, I had an alternative of 10 oz ribeye (rare) with added garlic king prawns. When asking the waitress about meals, she did not have a clue. She came out with excuse I only been here a week. Did not go and get advice, or ask another team member. She did quite a lot of thinking. I think it comes with sauce. I think it comes with veg, I think it comes with salad. Meals were ordered, so we're drinks. Partner asked for a coke. I asked for a cider. 2 cokes eventually arrived. Then, a cider eventually arrived. The meals arrived. My steak with the added kings prawns, the king prawns amounted to 2, which were hardly king size, the added garlic king prawns was £4.99. I was expecting more than 2. Which worked out at a fraction under £2.50 each. Both weren't succulent but tasted more like rubber, so overcooked. The steak was done nicely. It came with a soggy flat mushroom half a tomato, some rocket, and 8 triple cooked chips. Hardly generous potions. My partner had the surf and turf, again 2 overcooked rubbery prawns. Not a great experience considering it was supposed to be a special occasion.

Everything on our plates was inedible down to the peas which tasted stale, I had the smothered chicken and it wasn't just smothered it was annihilated dreadful and expensive.

Good value for money and tasty menu

Haven't been for years so with a 40% off food thought I'd give it a try again. Don't think I'd bother coming back. Ordered to be told the extractor fans had suddenly stopped so there may not be any food. We asked to be updated in the next 5 minutes but took the waiter nearly 20 to finally come back to us to say they would be cooking our food and it was 70 degrees in the kitchen. Other customers were told to leave. Food came and waitress nearly dropped the steak knife on my foot (I had sandles on too) the meal was very small a steak one small mushroom and less than a hand full of loaded chips for £22. Luckily we were not over hungry or we would have been more disappointed. Food medioka in the end but the disruption of the fans going off and kept waiting ill not be back soon.

First time visiting and it was really good. We were stopping next door in the premier inn for the night and purchased the meal deal with the room. 2 course meal and a drink and all you can eat breakfast the next morning for £27.99 great value and the dinner and breakfast were both equally as good. Our young children loved the kids' meals they had an ate every bit. Friendly staff throughout and fast service.

Took my mum for breakfast. £10.99 each and this is all that was available. 5 mushrooms and 3 slices of bacon. Staff sent my mum away saying we had no table even though I was already waiting for them. Luckily she called me and I caught her before she went home. Made a point of thoroughly checking a £50 many times in the light. Very embarrassing when I’d invited my mum out and my uncle who traveled from Canada to see us. Literally went home hungry. Shocking

Massive shout out to Zoe, Karl and Phoebe regards the outstanding customer service they gave our party of 13 last night. It was the grandparents joint 80th birthday and having phoned ahead to ask if they could do anything special Karl said he'd sort it. Upon arrival Zoe then backed up Karl's word having ordered special 80th bunting and decorations from Amazon for our table. Free bottle of Prosecco and 2 x small gift bags with chocolates in shortly followed which started the evening perfectly. The drinks then flowed and the food shortly followed after.....the 10oz Ribeye was reported to be from it's receipient the best steak ever!!! Phoebe was also attentive throughout the night and was always there as / when we needed her. All in all wonderful memories made due to a caring, attentive and thoughtful restaurant team that simply went the extra mile from the moment we arrived......thank you so much from us all !!!

In need of refurbishment with stains on the stools and wobbly arms on chairs. Over priced drinks and average food. There are lots of better establishments in Scunthorpe and the surrounding area.

Good dinner and breakfast. But I hate being asked if I booked (no) and then a lot of frowning at a computer when the place is half empty.

The food is expensive for what it is, but that's just my opinion. Calamari starter is very nice and the '74 burger very tasty. Very good, attentive service. Nice surroundings and decor.

The service was quite underwhelming. The management's behavior was especially cringeworthy, as they harshly insulated me during a pleasant afternoon out with my significant other. Their actions were uncalled-for and totally unacceptable. It's apparent that they lack the necessary expertise and manners to conduct themselves with basic respect. I highly recommend steering clear of this establishment. Micheal should not be a manager he lacks the knowledge or the basic respect for guests at this establishment. Avoid.

We take the grandkids here for breakfast for their birthdays. We love that the kids eat free and they can have what they want. The staff are brilliant and so friendly, we always feel welcome. It does help that the grandkids are well behaved.

Took my mum to dinner last week. She had fillet steak and I had curry and we shared the apple pie for dessert. This is a very decent place to eat. Lots of room so you don't feel on top of each other. Service was great and food came in good time. Mum said the steak was nice and the curry was great too. Apple pie could have been a little warmer but overall a very nice dinner.

We come here every week,the service we get from Louise and Allison is amazing,however the last two weeks I've found a hair in my meal and as you can see into the kitchen we know the chefs don't wear hats. This is not acceptable and needs reviewing by management.Hopefully someone will take notice of this and try to improve the kitchen standards.

Family outing for my sisters birthday . All staff were very friendly, especially Alison who was extra nice to my sister . Food was good and reasonably priced with the discount applied .

Pleasant midday meal with family

Regular-ish visitors, my Dad loves the lasagne. There was some maintenance work being done so everyone was down the bottom end but no problem with that. Not massively busy (Monday lunchtime) but enough to have the server running around as he was on his own. Despite that he made sure we had everything we needed and we weren’t waiting long for anything. At the end he asked if we had a voucher, which we did but had forgotten about (last time we were in we didn’t get asked). He used it on the bill and then gave us another one. We have seen him before, I wish I’d taken note of his name. Anyhoo nice relaxed lunch with great service.

Chips hard in the middle. Also £3.50 for a bowl of chips however the bowl is only a little bigger than a vinegar portion. Awful. Will not be coming again. Also 2 pints cost £11.80 day light robbery!

Fantastic place, I'm a frequent visitor here mainly due to the excellent service from all the staff, they are all welcoming, friendly, professional and go above and beyond to make your experience a special one. The choice of drinks is adequate and all meals I have consumed have been well prepared, presented and tasted lovely.

The food was very tasty and came out all together and nice and hot. Best thing was our waitress Alison. She was so friendly,an absolute star and a real credit to the restaurant.

My granddaughter is coeliac she came for a meal with grandmother and godson on Monday 11th of March she stated that she was coeliac and was assured the her food was gluten free. It was not she had a severe reaction to gluten and is lot of pain with ulcers in her mouth and a severe swollen tummy. this is so unfair she struggles to find places to eat as it is.

Really disappointed this time around the young lady who served us was snappy and didn't have much patience with us. The food was ok but the new menu has not much choice. I chose the steak n found it strange that there is no choice of steak sauces apart from peppercorn when I asked the young lady if there was a possibility for any alternative she rolled her eyes and replied well no it's not on the menu so no. Shame because I used to enjoy coming here.

Excellent service from Allison. Even though it was busy nothing was too much trouble. Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. It exceeded our expectations. Will definitely return

Early evening, quiet dinner with my dad. Relaxed atmosphere and superb, very attentive service from all, especially Allison. Good choice of alcohol free beers, Punk IPA, a step up from the usual Becks Blue or similar. Only complaint was the crust on dad's pie was a bit too well done and hard. Would recommend

We popped in for a late lunch with our 18-month old, who was being a little grumpy. Staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and make us feel welcome. Specifically, Allison, who took a few minutes out to bring some colouring sheets and crayons, then later some bubbles, which worked incredibly to lighten our toddler's mood and helped us enjoy our meal. I'm sure it also helped a few tables around us.... Smart move Allison and an astute way to invest a few minutes of your time! Thank you! Meal was acceptable pub grub with nothing wrong, but nothing to amaze. We'll be back and we'll recommend to friends.

Went in for a coffee but machine wasn't working

Never been to any beefeater before and definitely will not be going again. I was with a party of 3 and we all left our food and so did the party on the opposite table. The staff were very accommodating but the food was absolutely terrible unless you like rubber warmed up chicken and yesterday’s chips triple cooked, or fish with the skin still on and full of bones. From the outside I actually thought the premises had been closed for 6 months as it looked very shabby and run down.
