Carvery is a joke constantly waiting for different items then everything is cold. The mash potatoes could fill pot holes

Arrived for Sunday carvery and shown to our table promptly. Ordered drinks then helped ourselves to carvery. 4 different meats to choose from which were lovely but the rest was awful. Yorkshire pudding were burnt and the stuffing balls not far off. Mash potatoes had either oil or melted butter puddled all over it. Parsnips were either dry or solid. Broccoli and cauliflower barely cooked. Burnt fingers on the gravy ladle and the gravy its self was weird, almost translucent but like jelly. We won’t be visiting again I’m afraid.

Food tasted lovely however they did not send my sauce for my steak and it was cold on arrival .

For the first time I have been disappointed by an order from the new Beckwood. Quality was okay, a bit cold but the quantity was poor. More like a meal for one than a sharing platter! Not happy at all.

Completely missed a whole meal off the order and delivered over an hour late the food they did arrive was stone cold- never had a problem before but really disappointed today

Yorkshire pudding overdone, food cold, large dinner wasn’t very large. Won’t order again. Meat was nice. Mash potato lumpy. Stuffing was delicious. It was delivered over an hour after ordering.

portion sizes are tiny not worth the money

My delivery was 1 hour late - meaning i did not get out for 2 hours after ordering. When it arrived the portion size was meant to be large - however I felt it lacked veg - small portion. Taste was good but in general felt let down as have ordered before from here and always had generous portions. May not order the carvery again. Rather sit in and eat - more for money.

Long wait parts of the box were cold and did not receive garlic mayo paid extra for. Had one of the boxes before and was great however slightly let down by tonight’s.

Food was lovely .. but no garlic or Parmesan on the potatoes

Meant to be salt n pepper through out and clearly wasn’t chips were just normal chips and portion size was different to last time we had it wasn’t worth the £20 we paid for it

order was about 2hours late and when arrived was cold

2 hrs 15 minutes from placing an order for a toasted sandwich and chips is terrible, this is the 2nd time we have waited 2 hrs for our order. Food is nice but they shouldnt take orders if they haven't got the capacity to deliver in an appropriate time.

Had the Carvery… absolutely amazing and plenty of it too

Over 2 hours to deliver, had 3 time changes via message, then after i called the shop,, delivery was made within 20 minutes.

2 hours for the food to be delivered when it finally got here it was cold only the gravy was hot.the carvery it self was missing the mash potatoes,carrott and parsnips,yorkie pud was burnt black.extremely disappointed if only adding pic was a option

ordered at 6 30 tonight food arrived minus 2 items at 9 15.. order updates kept saying it was going to be late.

Delicious Sunday lunch and plenty of it! Home made Yorkshire pudding and tender beef! Would highly recommend!

supposed to be hand cut , triple cooked chips.... was cut by a machine and most likely frozen chips from a supermarket .

Went to celebrate a wedding anniversary, 8 of us. Just wanted to try somewhere different. No table was set up, despite having booked over the phone. Was advised they had been busy. We were then put in an extension on our own, difficult to get in and out of with the table seating on the other side of the door with people spilling over into the walkway. Didn’t help that the person was an immovable object oblivious to what was happening and people trying to get through, but in fairness they thought they had a corner seat out of the way and suddenly they are in the passage! Perhaps it was just our unlucky day. First the gas was off for fizzy drinks so you could only have flat which no one wants. Waiting for our meal was a long time but, it it’s not being done by ‘chef Mic’ you expect a wait. When the two chicken burgers finally came out they were both burnt around the edges. I sent mine back - there was no apology. I even discussed with one of the staff (blame expression like not interested) why didn’t you just cut off the burnt bit no one would have known? The rest of the meals were okay. The children’s meals were a good size and the menu was fun for them. Anyway experience we will not be repeating. The bar staff were lovely and had a lot to deal with but kept smiling. Think this is more a pub trying to serve meals rather than a pub with meals if you get what I’m saying 😊 Great place for a drink though.

We ordered ouur drinks and food, then waited a long time in the queue too get served ,there more take aways going out than people get there on the premises. When finally too being sorted we stood ages waiting for more potatoes, Yorkshire puddings,and by time you too eat our meal it had gone cold.would I come again ?. No.

Serve nice food. Been twice and both times an hour wait for food, but they let you know and it's worth the wait. Never had a bad meal. The sharing platters are really worth their money. Plenty of food for two, and the mac n cheese balls are amazing! Easy parking. Dining room set out nice and spacious. Staff attentive, friendly and chatty.

Absolute quality food, full of flavour 👌

The food was a little too average and didn’t really live up to the hype in our opinion. It took a while to come and I think it may be because it’s a small kitchen/not having many staff on? For 3 of our meals it took nearly an hour to come out and by the time it did, we weren’t really hungry. The pints were still good though even if a little expensive.

Beautiful food, large portions and very tasty. Arrived very hot and packed well to keep the heat in.

Food was amazing! The only disappointing thing was the nuggets, they was rock solid and not edible. Everything else was delicious.

It took a while to get served, meat was sparce. Meat was also sat next to.the other meat(some ppl cld.be allergic to some so not.good) meat was also picked.up by the fork and transfered to another side table.to be carved. Why isnt each meat sat.on it's on pronged.plate? The veg wasn't.hot also hard, yorkshire pudding.was burnt stuffing.balls were.the best.thing on my plate that actually had taste. Being one of the first group of.ppl in the restaurant all the puddings weren't available and no diet cokes. All round not.a good visit

Beautiful food as always. We've eaten in, and had takeout and the food every time is just epic. Beautiful, hot, smells amazing, flavourful, homemade and just delicious. Definitely our favourite place to order from now 🥰

Went with friends for a carvary and wasn’t disappointed. Eaten here on several occasions and it such good value for money . The staff are friendly and organised. Good was amazing . Most places charge for cauliflower cheese and this is available in the carvary .

Excellent value and fantastic food

Little bit later than quoted, but to be expected as all home cooked. Missing chips for kids meal, rang the resteraunt and they offered to send out seperately and agreed to free dessert for mix up. Lovely, fresh, quality food and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend! Thank you 🤩

ordered a sharing platter for 2 it was absolutely amazing and very filling and was also hot when it came. Will order again.

Visited here on a Wednesday evening which we expected would probably be fairly quiet as it was midweek. When we arrived, it was noticeably very busy with only a single space left in the car park and in theory it is a very small car park. We made our way inside and bought some drinks while waiting for our table as we’d arrived early and sat in the bar area. There was football on and the owner(?) apologised for the loudness and bustle of the pub and explained that it had been far busier than he or the staff had expected that day hence the time it took to be served. We were then shown into the restaurant/dining area when our table was available and we were seated next to 2 large tables of around 10 people. The table was so close, we genuinely felt like we were part of their group. I requested to move to a different table in the corner because it was so loud and way too close for comfort. After we moved tables and managed to settle, we were advised there was around a 45 minute to an hours wait on food. We agreed this was fine and didn’t mind waiting as we’d heard and seen so much good stuff about the pub. Closer to nearly 2 hours later, we finally received our food. After which point we weren’t hungry and simply wanted our money back. The owner was again apologetic and offered us 2 free pints of coke but all in all, a very disappointing experience and can’t help but feel like it’s very overhyped for what it is. The food was nothing special at all - maybe different if you’d been boozing all day and watching the football in the bar area beforehand. The chips were hard, tasteless and burnt and the fish was so oily and greasy. The “curry sauce” is also not a traditional chip shop style curry sauce, rather a tikka/Indian style sauce which doesn’t really go with a fish and chips platter, in my personal opinion. The pub itself is somewhat grungy, rundown and has a bad smell inside. I would definitely not come back here in a hurry. I appreciate that they are trying to revamp this pub to its former glory but there’s a lot that needs to be done in order for this to work.

Great family meal with 11 of us. Mix of food: sharing platters for the kids & adults, steaks, pie of the day... But everything had amazing flavour and all of us were in awe. Service was great so well done everyone 👍

Amazing, the best takeaway I’ve ever had! And I’ve had way too many takeaways!!

Without using bad language. The food was ******* awesome, decent proper chips, the £30 (£25) in this case Smashing Platter is well worth it, excellent food, excellent quality, nothing was left. The same for the Cheesy Platter. Homemade Stilton sauce can't beat a proper Stilton sauce. Estimated delivery time was 17:30 - 17:50, the meals arrived just after 17:00, the only thing missing was a nice cool pint, but that was quickly taken care of. This was one of the best meals ever. Will buy again.

Cold Carvery. Cold dining Area due to Fire Door open. Poor Slow Service clearing tables. Just a Try Out from our usual, will not return.

I saw the pictures on fb loved look of it but it was sorely missing flavour in the chicken just tasted watery with a tiny bit of spice, the mac and cheeseballs didnt really taste mac & cheese just tastes of pasta. It seems they use lean mince which doesn't lead to a flavourful burger only redeeming thing was the chips. Wouldnt order again.

Great venue and atmosphere for live music, but so many people were vaping in there that night. I guess it’s down to individual establishments whether they allow this but even tho I am a smoker, this was quite off putting. Neither of the sinks in the ladies had working taps - both were taped off, not sure what was going on there but the hand sanitiser bottle wasn’t very clever either.

Placed order at 5.20 said on app delivery was 25 mins. After placing my order i was told delivery would be 6.30 asked for update at 6.45 was told delivery would be at 7 o clock,7o clock got a message saying food had left the restaurant . I live 5 mins away from the pub. 7.25 food was finally delivered. Stine cold as it would going on a 25min journey. I would give no stars paid 40 pounds for a stone cold tea. That took two hours from ordering to arrive unhappy and won't be ordering again !!!!!

To much garlic in the cheese mix, let it down, but everything else was tasty! maybe chuck a few of you're famous onion rings in there as well :)

Sharing platter from then The New Beckwood was spot on. The crispy chilli beef was amazing with the proper chips. We’ve always loved the beckwood burgers but now after trying the chunky chicken strips they are now a favourite too. Definitely give it a try 👍

My first time ordering from here and the food was quite late, and also had a mistake. But I called Beckwood and they sent a fresh one out straight away and were apologetic about the wait. Despite the wait it was worth it. The food was excellent. Homemade and fresh, great portions. Good value for the prices which are very fair considering how delicious the food was. Best take out food in scunny I think. Will definitely order again.

We dine in the restaurant quite often so were very pleased to hear when they announced they were doing home deliveries. While a little later delivering than stated, we expected this as they are just starting out with deliveries and we knew it would be worth the wait! The food, as ever, did not disappoint. Wow just wow first time trying tonight got the southern fried plater with crispy beef topping and is some of best food ordered in a long time first but deffo not the last great work guys loved it

Decided to visit for a light bight at tea time last week after hearing great reviews. Ordered 2 grilled cheeses and loaded fries. After half an hour we asked how long they thought it might be as we were going to the cinema afterwards; was told they wasn’t sure. The food eventually arrived after another 40 minutes wait. The food was burnt and extremely underwhelming. We mentioned to the staff we had waited over an hour for two cheese toasties and burnt fries and all they said was sorry we’ve been backed up all night. Side note: there were only two other tables eating. No discount was offered and we missed our film at the cinema. Disappointed, would not recommend.

Heard good stuff about the New Beckwood and its food, i was not disappointed!! Beers over priced but damn the foods great!! And lovely friendly service!! Very much recommend

Always a warm welcome amazing food what's not to love service is spot on staff polite and well dressed....Not stood about day screaming or on mobile devices like other places...Don't be shy go give them a try...

Was ok, fairly busy when we went at 1pm but it soon settled down around 2pm. Service was ok, the girl's behind the bar we're polite enough and obviously rushed at the time we went. Was expecting a bit more from the food though.
