Lovely food as always, and also hot. However, not sure if there’s something wrong with this app? As my food was supposed to come at 12:45, at 12:46 this app said my food had been delivered, which it hadn’t . I waited until 13:10 to send an email explaining that it said my food was delivered and I’d not received it. The delivery guy showed up at around 13:25 with the food. So all good, not bothered that it was late, was just slightly perplexed when it said it had been delivered when it hadn’t.

Just had a carvery delivered, omg it was absolutely disgusting. Vegs was hard meat was the best part, no mash! Was that bad even the dog didn't eat it! Absolutely AVOID for carvery delivered.

The food from here was amazing. We had the sharing platter and everything tasted so good. It was a little late but definitely worth the wait.

food was delivered Stone cold. it 2 degrees outside and no care was taken as it arrived in the delivery guys hands and not in an insulated bag. the Yorkshire puddings turned up in 2 open paper bags. very disappointed. the dog ended up eating the meat and the rest went in the bin. we ended up cooking some food ourselves and should have done this in the first place. very disappointed

we had a sharer box about 3 months ago and was great, this was cold the chicken burger too hard and chewy so was uneatable ..very disappointing

Food was brilliant. Only issue is ordered crispy chilly beef loaded fries and there was nothing crispy or chilli beef about it. Wasn't battered and fried Just bits of cut up beef in a sauce.

After having fab carveries delivered we decided to call in for a meal, the good was exceptionally good, steak cooked to perfection and the best chips iv had in a long while!!! Will deffo be back and will be recommending to others. Keep up the good work!!

Can't fault the food at all 1st time visit service was OK atmosphere not so much but it is 1st visit so don't know what there atmosphere is like normally and it didn't seem too busy either

delivery was very late, recieved two delay notifications. when the food came it was all stone cold, very bland, chips so tough couldn't eat them. very dissapointed. this place used to be good, but gone down hill massively. Appears they take too much on then struggle to cope with the demands, they would be better scaling it back and focus on quality .

Food was great however I ordered a sweet chilli dip which did not arrive

Enjoyable Sunday roast dinner. Would have liked a bit more meat and maybe some crackling with the pork. Yorkshire pudding was huge but a bit hard. On the whole though, a lovely tasty meal.

Absolutely incredible. Ordered the carvery and the portion was huge and it all tasted incredible, only thing I would have liked more is if the gravy was a bit thicker but otherwise it was perfect and definitely worth the price❤️

if I was rating just the Sunday dinner it would be 5 stars but the puddings were a massive disappointment!! and overpriced for the sizes. the waffle was crunchy, tasteless and dry, like it was stale, ice-cream on top had melted because it was on the hot food when delivery driver gave me it and the portion size of the cheesecake was tiny for the price even though that was tasty.

I ordered and paid for 2 large carveries but alas only got the normal It was 30 mins late and cold I will not be ordering again my wife and I was very disappointed The cauliflower cheese was only plain cauliflower and not cooked the same for the broccoli uncooked satisfactorily I will not be recommending The Beckwood as a carvery take away

I order food at 5.15 and it came at 7.45 was not haapy

Carvery is a joke constantly waiting for different items then everything is cold. The mash potatoes could fill pot holes

Latest delivery time was one hour and a half, it gets marked delivered at this time, without receiving any food. I ring the restaurant and they inform me “the machine did that by itself” and they are PREPARING my order now. One hour and 20 mins after I placed the order, AFTER they have marked it as delivered. And refused to refund me, I have to rely on just eat who we all know don’t refund. 9/10 of the reviews are saying the same thing. This is why people don’t support local “business”

Waited 2 and half hours for a carvery, rang twice to be told both times it was on its way

Unfortunately the food was almost an hour late and extremely dry/inedible. We had over an hour wait time given, once this time had exceeded by half an hour we phoned the restaurant because it stated our food was delivered when it hadn't been.

Food was very late and also cold which is a shame normally really good from here

Arrived for Sunday carvery and shown to our table promptly. Ordered drinks then helped ourselves to carvery. 4 different meats to choose from which were lovely but the rest was awful. Yorkshire pudding were burnt and the stuffing balls not far off. Mash potatoes had either oil or melted butter puddled all over it. Parsnips were either dry or solid. Broccoli and cauliflower barely cooked. Burnt fingers on the gravy ladle and the gravy its self was weird, almost translucent but like jelly. We won’t be visiting again I’m afraid.

If you’re thinking of going here for a carvery DO NOT do it, easily the worst food I’ve ever had.

Food tasted lovely however they did not send my sauce for my steak and it was cold on arrival .

For the first time I have been disappointed by an order from the new Beckwood. Quality was okay, a bit cold but the quantity was poor. More like a meal for one than a sharing platter! Not happy at all.

Yorkshire pudding overdone, food cold, large dinner wasn’t very large. Won’t order again. Meat was nice. Mash potato lumpy. Stuffing was delicious. It was delivered over an hour after ordering.

My delivery was 1 hour late - meaning i did not get out for 2 hours after ordering. When it arrived the portion size was meant to be large - however I felt it lacked veg - small portion. Taste was good but in general felt let down as have ordered before from here and always had generous portions. May not order the carvery again. Rather sit in and eat - more for money.

Long wait parts of the box were cold and did not receive garlic mayo paid extra for. Had one of the boxes before and was great however slightly let down by tonight’s.

order was about 2hours late and when arrived was cold

2 hrs 15 minutes from placing an order for a toasted sandwich and chips is terrible, this is the 2nd time we have waited 2 hrs for our order. Food is nice but they shouldnt take orders if they haven't got the capacity to deliver in an appropriate time.

Had the Carvery… absolutely amazing and plenty of it too

Over 2 hours to deliver, had 3 time changes via message, then after i called the shop,, delivery was made within 20 minutes.

2 hours for the food to be delivered when it finally got here it was cold only the gravy was hot.the carvery it self was missing the mash potatoes,carrott and parsnips,yorkie pud was burnt black.extremely disappointed if only adding pic was a option

Delicious Sunday lunch and plenty of it! Home made Yorkshire pudding and tender beef! Would highly recommend!

supposed to be hand cut , triple cooked chips.... was cut by a machine and most likely frozen chips from a supermarket .

Went to celebrate a wedding anniversary, 8 of us. Just wanted to try somewhere different. No table was set up, despite having booked over the phone. Was advised they had been busy. We were then put in an extension on our own, difficult to get in and out of with the table seating on the other side of the door with people spilling over into the walkway. Didn’t help that the person was an immovable object oblivious to what was happening and people trying to get through, but in fairness they thought they had a corner seat out of the way and suddenly they are in the passage! Perhaps it was just our unlucky day. First the gas was off for fizzy drinks so you could only have flat which no one wants. Waiting for our meal was a long time but, it it’s not being done by ‘chef Mic’ you expect a wait. When the two chicken burgers finally came out they were both burnt around the edges. I sent mine back - there was no apology. I even discussed with one of the staff (blame expression like not interested) why didn’t you just cut off the burnt bit no one would have known? The rest of the meals were okay. The children’s meals were a good size and the menu was fun for them. Anyway experience we will not be repeating. The bar staff were lovely and had a lot to deal with but kept smiling. Think this is more a pub trying to serve meals rather than a pub with meals if you get what I’m saying 😊 Great place for a drink though.

We ordered ouur drinks and food, then waited a long time in the queue too get served ,there more take aways going out than people get there on the premises. When finally too being sorted we stood ages waiting for more potatoes, Yorkshire puddings,and by time you too eat our meal it had gone cold.would I come again ?. No.

Serve nice food. Been twice and both times an hour wait for food, but they let you know and it's worth the wait. Never had a bad meal. The sharing platters are really worth their money. Plenty of food for two, and the mac n cheese balls are amazing! Easy parking. Dining room set out nice and spacious. Staff attentive, friendly and chatty.

The food was a little too average and didn’t really live up to the hype in our opinion. It took a while to come and I think it may be because it’s a small kitchen/not having many staff on? For 3 of our meals it took nearly an hour to come out and by the time it did, we weren’t really hungry. The pints were still good though even if a little expensive.

Beautiful food, large portions and very tasty. Arrived very hot and packed well to keep the heat in.

Food was amazing! The only disappointing thing was the nuggets, they was rock solid and not edible. Everything else was delicious.

It took a while to get served, meat was sparce. Meat was also sat next to.the other meat(some ppl cld.be allergic to some so not.good) meat was also picked.up by the fork and transfered to another side table.to be carved. Why isnt each meat sat.on it's on pronged.plate? The veg wasn't.hot also hard, yorkshire pudding.was burnt stuffing.balls were.the best.thing on my plate that actually had taste. Being one of the first group of.ppl in the restaurant all the puddings weren't available and no diet cokes. All round not.a good visit

Went with friends for a carvary and wasn’t disappointed. Eaten here on several occasions and it such good value for money . The staff are friendly and organised. Good was amazing . Most places charge for cauliflower cheese and this is available in the carvary .

Excellent value and fantastic food

Little bit later than quoted, but to be expected as all home cooked. Missing chips for kids meal, rang the resteraunt and they offered to send out seperately and agreed to free dessert for mix up. Lovely, fresh, quality food and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend! Thank you 🤩

ordered a sharing platter for 2 it was absolutely amazing and very filling and was also hot when it came. Will order again.

Visited here on a Wednesday evening which we expected would probably be fairly quiet as it was midweek. When we arrived, it was noticeably very busy with only a single space left in the car park and in theory it is a very small car park. We made our way inside and bought some drinks while waiting for our table as we’d arrived early and sat in the bar area. There was football on and the owner(?) apologised for the loudness and bustle of the pub and explained that it had been far busier than he or the staff had expected that day hence the time it took to be served. We were then shown into the restaurant/dining area when our table was available and we were seated next to 2 large tables of around 10 people. The table was so close, we genuinely felt like we were part of their group. I requested to move to a different table in the corner because it was so loud and way too close for comfort. After we moved tables and managed to settle, we were advised there was around a 45 minute to an hours wait on food. We agreed this was fine and didn’t mind waiting as we’d heard and seen so much good stuff about the pub. Closer to nearly 2 hours later, we finally received our food. After which point we weren’t hungry and simply wanted our money back. The owner was again apologetic and offered us 2 free pints of coke but all in all, a very disappointing experience and can’t help but feel like it’s very overhyped for what it is. The food was nothing special at all - maybe different if you’d been boozing all day and watching the football in the bar area beforehand. The chips were hard, tasteless and burnt and the fish was so oily and greasy. The “curry sauce” is also not a traditional chip shop style curry sauce, rather a tikka/Indian style sauce which doesn’t really go with a fish and chips platter, in my personal opinion. The pub itself is somewhat grungy, rundown and has a bad smell inside. I would definitely not come back here in a hurry. I appreciate that they are trying to revamp this pub to its former glory but there’s a lot that needs to be done in order for this to work.

The menu put me off but the food for all eleven of us was awesome 👌 The staff were very friendly, helpful and flexible to our needs. Highly recommended 👏🍻
