Ticket arrangements straightforward. A range of reasonably priced snacks inside the ground. It's a good two miles from/to the station and the town centre, but there are bus services to/from the nearby Tesco's supermarket across the roundabout from the ground (about 5 minutes walk from the home end, 7-8 minutes walk from the away end). Just a shame about the match result!

Absolutely love this ground because i lived around the corner and some weekdays the groundsmen use to let us on the pitch to kick the ball with graham alexander and a few other 1st team players of the time... was state of the art stadium when it was first built but old fashioned now in comparison to the billionaire boys clubs of the championship and premier league... be nice if some of the money was shared evenly then the league might be an equal playing field... Visited the Sunday carvery twice with different family members of varying ages. Very pleasant decor etc, clean and great if you get a table overlooking the pitch. Tables are too close together - if you're a couple you may get swamped by a family next to you! Last time the roast potatoes were too hard; this time the beef was undercooked (almost raw but last time it was mouth wateringly gorgeous) but if they get it right it's brilliant value, plenty of choice of vegetables (garlic mushrooms with gravy but assured it works!), large Yorkshire puddings, generous portions. Limited choice of puddings and drinks (no non alcoholic beer). Staff are lovely and friendly and do their best to put things right. Do give it a try. Surprised it's not more busy. Would have expected more supporters there.

After the ill fated outsourcing of the restaurant to an 3rd party caterer last season, it is a credit to the management at the club that they listened to feedback from diners in the restaurant and bought the catering back in-house. It has been absolute pleasure to have Steph back at the helm as she and her team really know how to look after all the guests. The new chef is also consistently delivering a varied high quality, value for money food offering. The restaurant is now very much back to the high standards we have come accustomed to over many years. Well worth a visit

This is probably the worst Carvery I have ever experienced, booked in the week before but on arriving no table booked for us , found us a table and we ordered food , the prawn cocktails were all sent back because of the lack of prawns and sauce, counted 3 prawns on one , plenty of lettuce though. The carvery was so disappointing ,pork looked OK , beef just a few end bits left so decided to have the pie as there were two pieces left ,when he scooped the pie onto my plate I lifted the pastry top to find hardly any beef when I showed the chef he gave me some of the beef bits from the carvery beef to go with the pie . The veg was ok if you like French beans as the garlic mushrooms and whatever other veg had been there were gone ,potatoes were small ones in their skin and slightly roasted, the Yorkshire puds were about 12 inches across and filled the plate and everything was cold . The desserts had all gone and the chef went to see what he could find in the fridge although we were told we could have free desserts or vouchers for another visit so we took the desserts as we won't be going back. We were even charged full price when two of our party were obviously OAP s and should have been charged accordingly ,as you can see we weren't happy and would nor recommend this restaurant at all .

A friend bought us a two course meal here as an Xmas present, he'd seen it on his Groupon. What it fails to point out adequately on there to the person purchasing it is that the restaurant is only open 2 days a week from 11 til late afternoon which doesn't work for people who have full time jobs. We eventually settled on a date and booked a 5pm slot only to get a call to tell us that it was Groupon error and that was when we discovered the short opening hours and could only have a slot of 3pm at the latest. I work from home luckily as had to start early to finish early and my partner had a day's leave to use but if not for that we wouldn't have used the voucher. We arrive at 3pm in an office reception which felt strange for an eating out experience, someone was meant to be coming down for us but didn't, another person appeared behind the desk and went up stairs to tell the restaurant we were there but never came back and then a 3rd person appeared who offered to take us up there. Eveyy empty table we sat we were moved from until we were told we actually had to sit at a particular one. This table was great for my partner as he could see the stadium but alll I could really see was the folded up blinds on the window edge. The experience felt increasingly weird because we were the only people in there! There was 3 options of mains and I'd planned on Scampi but they'd ran out. My partner chose the brie starter and I chose the prawn cocktail out of the three choices as neither of us fancied a mushroom soup. The brie was deep fried with the thick rind on it and my partner said it had an ammonia taste to it, my prawn cocktail was OK but the butter looked half melted and messy on the bread. My partner had haddock and chips main and he said the chips were undercooked and he left half of those, the fish was tasteless and he had to take the batter off as it was pale and stodgy. Some of the beef in my pie was like rubber and inedible, it says roast potatoes on the menu but came with mash so be aware of that when ordering it. Gravy was thin and not flavoursome and the green beans tasted funny. We were glad to get out of there to be honest a d glad we didn't have to pay for it! A cheap chain pub does better food.

We had been bought a Sparkling Afternoon Tea on Groupon as a present but when we arrived we were told Glanford Park no longer did them! We were told the restaurant would honour it by providing us with a 3 course meal or a refund, which was very good of them. We opted for the food as we were both hungry, but in hindsight we should have gone for the refund as the meal and service was disappointing.

Firstly greeted well and given a table then it went downhill quickly. We ordered a lemonade and a Diet Coke. Two lemonades came. Later found out that they do not do diet lemonade.. so just gave me normal. Good job I was not diabetic or could not have sugar!! Even though I didn’t order diet lemonade I drank it- I wanted Diet Coke! Now onto the food. My husband starter okay... apart from the massive bit of fat in the ham hock. He was impressed with the chutney. We waited a good ten minutes to ask if we could have the main as no one came to collect the starter plate. No steak pie! We had asked for this and would not have stayed if we had known!! The chef needs to inform the waitress. The meat rock hard and rest of food cold. This is one of the worst meals I have had anywhere and made worse by the poor service! From my reviews you can see I have eaten in many places. I certainly will not be eating here again. I must say the fan match day food in the stands is better. Charging £9 for a Sunday lunch is shocking!

A really poor stadium. Bizarre ticketing that doesn't advise you which turnstiles to use. The ticket stub has the name of a stand yet the plan on the rear to show you which stand is which has different names on. Turnstiles ridiculously slow, the operator behind the cage was apologetic for a bizarre computer system that was holding things up. Pillars obstruct the view. Seats placed on an old terrace with no leg room and hard to stand in front of too. Toilets down a dark alley with only one narrow way in/out. Not signposted either. Nearby residents extremely rude if you dare to legally park on a street and make veiled threats that your car will be damaged of you leave it there. Not a good experience.

Having used this restaurant for many years, I can honestly say in my opinion, this was the worst meal I have experienced there. Notice on their web site states “opening 11.30am” our table was booked for mid-day. We arrived 5 mins early, however, we still had to wait another 25 mins for the carvery to be set up. This was not an issue, what caused the disappointment was the over cooked beef, the under cooked pork along with warm hard vegetables. Two waitresses had been advised of our concerns. On our exit I can only assume was a manager, approached us,we informed her of our disasterous meal and did not get a satisfactory response from her. Needless to say we shall not eat there again.

I Visited Glandford park restaurant for a carvery on a Sunday lunchtime with my daughter & my husband we reserved a table which was over looking stadium. The staff were really friendly and a whole general nice atmosphere. Waitress took our order for drinks fairly quickly . We all decided to go for the carvery as all looked tasty & appealing, a very generous portion of meat yorkshire puddings were a very good selection of veg and roast potatoes were lovely golden colour and seasoned with pepper, the mushrooms in a creamy garlic sauce were delicious yet to say the size of the mushrooms were great. My husband had his own gravy boat which was gluten free really impressed as its really tricky to get gluten free dishes, we wasn't sure if he could have the mushrooms as they were in a sauce but asked the young man cutting the meat who was very helpful assured us that the sauce was cooked with cornflour so he was able to have them. The whole meal was scrummy especially the mushrooms. Moving on to desert I went for the sticky toffee pudding and custard portion size was massive great value the pudding was delicious struggled to finish it, my husband had a creme brulee and a scoop of vanilla ice cream again delicious we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the atmosphere was relaxing for an enjoyable Sunday lunch compliments to the staff and the chef .

I have enjoyed a meal here in the past but this time it was a very disappointing experience. I recommended this restaurant to Scotton WI but all my 33 ladies came away with complaints, from not serving gluten free bread with the pate starter, 2 vegetarians were served Hake wrapped in Pancetta, the meals were served at odd intervals, with some getting mains but no veg and others being given veg but no meal and the gravy arrived at random. The pudding arrived eventually but no coffee or mince pies, I left my phone number and email with the comment card but no reply has been forthcoming to my complaint needless to say Glanford Park have lost the goodwill of at least 33 WI members, I have also warned other WIs in the area not to go there. The WI have better organisational skills than the waiting staff at Glanford Park.

Since the Bella Vista restaurant closed on Scunthorpes Doncaster Road, coinciding with longer walk to Glanford Park the town has sadly lacked a credible pre match eaterie. Within a mile of Uniteds ground there isn't a chippy, let alone home cooked food - if Macondalds, KFC are your staple diet then you are in a fast food dystropian Valhalla for home games.

Last Sunday was the first time that I had been to the restaurant at Glanford Park and as a result I certainly do not intend it to be the last. We were a party of thirteen people (including a relative who was on a brief visit here from Canada.) Eight of those people had already pre-booked a table, but a couple of days after they'd booked, I rang the restaurant to ask if myself and four more people could be added to the party. Although the gentleman who I was speaking to said that they were almost fully booked and so it was unlikely that he would be able to accept our booking, he went out of his way to reconsider his bookings and eventually was able to offer us a table to accommodate us all. On the day, the food was delicious and I cannot fault either that or the friendly and efficient service given to us by every member of staff throughout our visit. All in all, we were very impressed and would not hesitate in recommending the restaurant to others in the future.

A soup served as Soup of the day was on asking made with Cheese, potatoes and leeks and was not very hot. I and others were not able to identify it without asking and it did not look very appertising being very yellow and having a curdled look. I left it and ate the bread. My Salmon was cooked very nicely but I was not fond of the finely shredded purple vegetable topping. The potatoes placed under the fish were hard in the middle. The vegetables were good and the sprouts just right My friends beef had a strange topping of bacon but it wasn't crispy bacon My husbands roast turkey was nice but the stuffing was hard and took some chewing. The sweet vanilla cheesecake was very nice but the red fruit probably cherries were oh so sour. All in all a mixed bag. I felt that on this occasion a more traditional presentation would have been much better. The staff did not ask if we required coffee and I noted one table had asked a waiter for theirs but the staff were very good in serving our meal This meal was a club Christmas lunch occasion and it didn't seem appropriate to criticise too much.

We decide to have a Sunday carvery at Glanford Park this week after a recommendation from a work colleague. What a surprise it turned out to be ,first the service was absolutely spo on with fast attentive waiting staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant it self was a very nice place to be ,clean airy and immaculately set tables ,and all for a Sunday carvery .The quality and presentation of the food itself was way above the usual carvery offerings ,while the presentation of the deserts were worthy of Master chef (i kid you not )The price for this superb meal ...............£7:95 a head ,and £4:75 for the desert .Quitye simply u beatable value for money .

Lovely Sunday lunch last weekend. A very tasty carvery with a good choice. The vegetables are very tasty unlike some carverys where they have sat too long. Excellent friendly service and good value for money.

Just had Sunday lunch with the family (all 15 of us) and enjoyed an excellent meal. Lovely setting, very friendly and helpful staff and very good food. A carvery, with three meats, a good selection of vegetables and super large yorkshire puddings. A good choice of sweets which were well presented. Great value for money and lovely meal was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Just finished a rather large portion of roast dinner. Beef lovely very tender a Yorkshire pud you can climb. Interesting mix of vegetables and mash with swede. Wanted to particularly mention the young girls who served our coffee and asked a couple of times if we enjoyed the food. They were very polite. £7.95 not bad price either for help yourself. Will come again

Plates and food hot. However soup only just covered bottom of dish. Pate not served with toast. No cranberry sauce with turkey or stuffing. Food dry not enough gravy and none on table. No water on table. Xmas pudding very small portion and very dry. Service poor, part of our party served and others left waiting. Entertainment sang for 1 hour and then packed up and left. Xmas table decorations removed from table well before end of night as though we were being told to leave. No xmas spirit in fact a completely poor night. People around was complaining of a wasted evening.

Ok its Friday so we opted for good old fish and chips and at £8.95 we were hopeful..fish was lovely if not presented a touch strange but the mushy peas were luke warm...not a problem ate them first but then the chips were hit and miss..some cooked some slightly raw...the fish won the day but overall not an experience i'll be repeating soon Setting is amazing though and hubby loved every second ☺

Visited yesterday for midweek carvery. Polite, friendly staff, nice restaurant with a great view of the pitch. The food was fresh and hot with a good choice of meats and veg. £5.95 for a main meal means you don't have to wait til the weekend for a roast!

I visited with my family having heard that the Carvery there was good. We weren't disappointed as it was both sumptuous and filling. There was a choice of beef, gammon or turkey. I had the beef which was beautiful and moist just the way I like it. The roast potatoes where really tasty although I prefer them cut a little smaller to make them crispier but this is me being specific. The veg comes as a mixed veg but is warming and I think ideal for winter. The portions where plentiful but I managed to find room for pudding.I had Crème Brulee which the waitress lit at the table to caramelise the dessert which was fantastic and unique. It was probably the best pudding I've had in a long time. The whole vibe was great and I was surprised given the experience that it wasn't busier. We will be back for sure.

Came here for Sunday lunch with my family. The carvery was nice I got turkey and it was cooked well and was given plenty of meat. The potatoes and red cabbage were lovely. I didn't like the mixed veg and would of preferred abit more choice of vegetables. The Yorkshire pudding was lovely. The staff were really friendly and the kids enjoyed going down and having a look around the football ground.

I took 16 people to this restaurant for Sunday lunch to celebrate a birthday. The food was excellent, staff very attentive and pleasant, and spotlessly clean. Although it is a carvery the starters and sweets and coffee were served. The prices were very competitive and if you wish you can pay corkage and take your own wine.

Ideal for large parties, we just attended a Wake there. Catering was excellent, and always someone at hand to clear away plates.Comfortable seating and large tables with adequate space inbetween. As you would expect, excellent view of the pitch.Bar prices very reasonable. Heineken, £3.30 a pint.

We had heard a lot about the Sunday Lunch at Glanford Park and decided to give it a go. The tables were beautifully presented and the place was immaculate. The choice on offer was great with a wide selection of meats and vegetables. However when we sat down to eat the meal it was cold! We did not manage to get anyone's attention and left feeling highly disappointed.

Tried this place for the first time and have to say it was very good. We all got a good portion of meat, a HUGE Yorkshire pudding, good choice of vegetables. The service and staff were very good, polite and efficient. All round good food and reasonably priced. Only criticism, there were not many pudding choices and no stuffing. We will be back.

Carvery is a joke constantly waiting for different items then everything is cold. The mash potatoes could fill pot holes

Went out for couples tea on a Saturday. Opted for. Steak, medium rare and also ordered a slow cooked lamb shank. The lamb shank got good reviews, unfortunately not the same with the steak meal. Tough and chewy in patches, felt cut across the grain, wouldn’t say medium rare either. This is one of my favourite places to eat and the first time I’ve had a below par meal.

A busy place for golfers in a great location. Lots of parking in a spacious car park. Accessible for everyone. The club house is fantastic with food and drink available for those who want it, including friendly staff members. Fantastic views of the course from the club house. Looking forward to my next visit.
