Beefeater Grill in North Lincolnshire

Was greeted by Jack on arrival, seated very quickly. Was asked whether I’d been before, asked whether there were any allergy’s to be aware of, we were asked if we needed a high chair which was provided straight away. Drinks were ordered and arrived within 10 minutes of being sat down so very quick service. And food was taken a couple of minutes later. Was presented with friendly, smiley attitude and food was lovely. Very good value for money and over all happy with the service and food. Jack and owen very friendly and helpful staff members during the visit.

Came in for a quick bite to eat and was served by Jack . Order was taken quickly and food came out timely. Great food and fantastic service. This is definitely a stop I would make again. The new menu has some amazing items that I'm excited to try next time

Mushrooms to crispy but tasty, no garlic mayo!! asked for no spicy sauces on ribs, but they put it on anyway. To spicy, couldn't eat.

Discovered they do breakfast here, so popped in for a spontaneous visit. Was pleasantly surprised. You can have a cooked or continental breakfast and keep going back to help yourself for a set price. Good range of food. Staff helpful. Would definitely visit again.

Ordered a bacon eater, presuming it was just a burger with bacon on. Mmmm, right so it was, presentation was ok ey, but can’t say the same for food. Burger was not cooked properly, If I hadn’t of checked then I’d probably either be sick as a dog or in hospital! Thankfully I trusted my instinct I’m no picky customer but it’s appalling to serve someone undercooked food! It’s not only disgusting but it’s dangerous!! Wouldn’t eat there again, do better, take the time to check your food before sending it!

Once again a great visit to the Anchor, we regularly stay in Scunthorpe when visiting family and always receive great food and service here. Tasty evening meal on the Friday and great buffet breakfast on the Saturday. Looking forward to more visits this year.

From being told there’s a wait time of 30-45mins for food we awaited at table with our drinks. On arrival of meals mmm have to say was shocked chips practically cold meals poor in presentation as for mine being the crispy double chicken burger was not impressed n plus no onion rings had arrived with order either at this point we tried to get service which seem to take forever eventually we were attended to and waiter re ordered chips for us and did say sorry for this happening. I cert feel this shouldn’t have happened I dine with friends many times at the red lion Bispham Beefeater the standards there 5 star rating absolutely fantastic service well looked after and food is amazing so I certainly feel Scunthorpe Anchor Beefeater needs to look at this and address this so diners in the future don’t have a similar experience as myself and friend did.

I'd of given it 1 star but the guy who I booked the table with week before was very helpful. I went change the time of the table in the morning as my daughter wanted to come before she went work but wasn't 100% sure and with my mum coming from stoke she wanted a wash before coming out etc, I was told I could change from 6pm to 5pm but if I was to late I'd loose the table as they were very busy, we all rushed and when we arrived the pub was empty , very very empty so why the need of the rush??? I even told them my mum was staying at the premier in nxt door.. we had food under a heater and it was blowing the crackers off the table every 10 seconds, I had surf and turf it was nice but the steak was cold and the spoonful of Peper sauce for £1.99 was a joke. The burger was disgusting my daughter said, and the gammon and fries came with 14 fries. My mum didn't complain as she wanted it nice and being 70 is why I not say anything... on a good point the staff were nice but something needs be done as I don't appreciate spending over 165 pound on food and drink that I could buy at a supermarket for less than 20 pounds

Had a lovely time. Great value food, nice wine selection and 2 for 1 cocktails. The best thing was the brilliant Stuart who looked after us, nothing was too much trouble for him and he went above and beyond to make our night fun. Lovely atmosphere, nice and buzzy but not crazy busy and our food courses came at the perfect pace.

I was staying in the Premier Inn and bought the meal deal at The Anchor. Having dined here on several occasions the service is always amazing both at dinner and breakfast. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Stu, Josh, Sky and the rest of the team are amazing and make your dining experience great. The food is always lovely.

Had a lovely breakfast this morning. Linda was very helpful especially as I had 2 babies with me. I was disappointed about there being no buffet though. I do prefer to help myself rather then having to order the cooked food.

The food is fine but the service is lousy. Slow, inattentive, and deceptive. We had to ask for the fixed menu and was then charged for drinks we didn't take. Nobody seemed to care, I guess that's what happens when your pay is poor and your restaurant is in Scunthorpe.

A really nice place to eat. Tables well spaced out and staff all lovely and friendly. Good smooth check in process for breakfast and even though we were later than planned our breakfast slot was amended so we did not have to hurry. T%he food was all very well presented and well cooked. Everything was clean and plenty of choice too.

Wow, what a positive experience we have had this evening. Great food, fantastic service from Jack Shaw. He is a credit to the company. Everyone in our party had a great time. Nothing too much trouble. ❤️

Ordered the vegan flat bread, vegan burger and biscoff sundae. All were really good. Chips were excellent! The sundae was nice but very samey whereas I would have liked to have some different textures through the sundae. Staff very helpful and couldn’t do enough. Interior very nice. The prices are ridiculous however. £5.49 for a dry flat bread with some flavouring on £15.79 for a garden gourmet burger with vegan bacon, vegan cheese, sauce, fries, and a side of vegan coleslaw. The coleslaw was a nice addition. Altogether not half as bad as I was expecting. ✔️

Ordered smothered chicken, very small and dry. Was offered to replace it, but was hungry from waiting . The service in general was OK. Found the whole experience very expensive.

Last night dinner, lovely staff pleasant environment. Choose Surf and Turf with upgrade to fillet steak as had a 50% off voucher . Disappointing well presented plate , nice chips /peas small portion half tomato one mushroom , only 2 large prawns overcooked and dry , expected Calamari rings but no; in bits encased in loads of fried crispy coatings . Beefeater were renowned for perfect cooked tasty steaks , not on this occasion, I had ordered medium steak . I did voice my opinion and given a £5 discount

The Anchor Beefeater in Scunthorpe serves a fantastic all you can eat breakfast. Fantastic price and the staff are really helpful.

Staff absolutely amazing let down by poor food presentation and £8 meal for a cob salad ( thinking bread included) turned into just a bowl of lettuce tomatoes cucumber - haloumi and fries extra taking it to £15 friend had full price gammon - appalling overcooked no presentation at all

Service poor,ribeye ordered blue came medium(and poor quality),savoury rice quite spicy,when mentioned to server no response at all,first time had a bad experience here hopefully last

Back again to visit family in Scunthorpe. We love staying at the premier inn and our trips to the Anchor. Seems to be a lot of new staff but still the same great service and food. Can’t wait for our next visit later in the year.

Massive shout out to Zoe, Karl and Phoebe regards the outstanding customer service they gave our party of 13 last night. It was the grandparents joint 80th birthday and having phoned ahead to ask if they could do anything special Karl said he'd sort it. Upon arrival Zoe then backed up Karl's word having ordered special 80th bunting and decorations from Amazon for our table. Free bottle of Prosecco and 2 x small gift bags with chocolates in shortly followed which started the evening perfectly. The drinks then flowed and the food shortly followed after.....the 10oz Ribeye was reported to be from it's receipient the best steak ever!!! Phoebe was also attentive throughout the night and was always there as / when we needed her. All in all wonderful memories made due to a caring, attentive and thoughtful restaurant team that simply went the extra mile from the moment we arrived......thank you so much from us all !!!

Allison was a member of staff who was extremely helpful with helping us and our party. She located us to a table better suited to our needs and greeted us with a lovely smile.

We have been coming for breakfast for the last couple of months most of the staff are friendly but Alison has got the whole package like greeting with a lovely smile and make you feel welcome , friendly and very helpful.

Visited the Anchor for breakfast this morning was met by Linda and Allison at the door who were both lovely and explained how everything works they both went on to ask about allergies and ask if we had any special requirements really enjoyed our visit.

Easy online booking process is the best thing I can say about my visit for our evening meal visit. Menu is small, and prides itself on its 74 range. Signature dishes cooked with passion by our grill masters states the menu. Sadly, the grill masters aren’t actually in the location. I can only presume that they work elsewhere & pre-pack the ‘quality’ grilled products for the on site kitchen staff to reheat. Bland in appearance & tasteless are 2 polite words I’d use to describe my ribs & chicken combo. Opted for skinny fries instead of seasoned fries, came with 2 dry & very mini corn cobs & a token of limp rocket on the plate. Chicken had grill marks, but as suggested earlier, I very much doubt the grill was present in the kitchen at the location. The ribs had more rib bone than meat. The side order of onion rings was the highlight of my meal. To be honest, in hindsight I think eating the actual menu may have been tastier. I expected more from the Beefeater brand.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Anchor and was thoroughly impressed by both the food and the exceptional service provided by our server, Alison. From the moment we walked in, Alison greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel incredibly welcome.

Food was lovely again. Our 3rd visit at dinner time, and all the food is fresh and freshly cooked to order. Portions are really good and definitely value for money. Our waitress Michaela was lovely and so helpful. Would recommend to others.
