Such a lovely pub, excellent Sunday carvery and friendly staff. I would recommend this place to anyone wanted a great Sunday lunch in a friendlt warm environment

Waited 30 minutes for a very simple order - soup and bread - but it never arrived.

Didn’t use their accommodation however if the restaurant is anything to go by, it is worth a visit.

Warm inviting good old fashioned pub which we need to preserve

The best fish and chips I've ever had. My husband and I called in on the way home to Newcastle, from the the Harrogate Airecon last night and we enjoyed the tastiest fish and chips and sausage and chips with mushy peas and curry sauce. All the food was freshly cooked, delicious chips, crispy batter on succulent fish. The staff were so lovely. I wish we lived nearer so we could go again. Well worth a visit. xxx

We had a sandwich each. Very nice, lots of killing, salad, and crisps. Good value. The tea was good as well. Dog friendly.

Lovely place to eat in Ripon, excellent friendly service, delicious food, good variety even vegetarian and vegan, highly recommend a visit here.

Mao's Thai take away was a massive treat, but due to conflict between landlord and tenant closed now, a real shame.

Went for lunch today. A beautiful drive out from Leeds. Great service and friendly staff. Ate off the set menu which is very good value. The chicken liver pate was so good followed by the pork, which was just delicious. On leaving we we're walking back to the car when a member of staff in a buggy stopped and asked us If we needed a lift as my mum walks with sticks. It was a nice end to a perfect lunch...
