Just had a fish and chips from here. Fish was firm and great quality/size but the batter was just delicious. Light, airy and crisp, fantastic. The people serving were really friendly as well.

Everything was amazing. Clean shop, polite lady taking orders, very clear and accurate. Fish cooked fresh. Tasted incredible. Such a big fish with light and crispy batter. Chips slightly crisp outside. Curry sauce and tartare sauce perfect.

Best takeaway fish and chips in Harrogate. Really impressed.

Fantastic place, friendly and helpful staff, but the one thing that would of given that extra star for me is if there was parking access but other than that keep up the wonderful work and service

Amazing fish and chips. Batter was crispy and light and chips were delicious. We had the meal for 2 and it was great value. The service was brilliant and with a warm smile just the way it should be.

Ordered last week and it was the best fish & chips we’ve had in a long time. The fish was fresh and the batter perfectly crispy, and the chips were delicious. We’re not from the area but read the reviews and glad we chose Harrogate Fisheries Fish & Chips. There was a bit of a queue, but well worth the wait and will be back!

This is a really good traditional chippy selling fish and chips, pies and burgers. Very nice staff and can order online and collect in shop.

Was staying in Harrogate so saw this fish and chip shop, ordered chips and gravy and they were disgusting 😑 gravy was metalic tasting, chips under cooked. Threw them in the bin as knocked me sick 😫

I’m a bit picky when it comes to fish and chips and Harrogate Fisheries is one of the best places I’ve had fish from in ages! The fish was cooked to order in a really light crispy batter! The chips were really fresh too! If I’m back in Harrogate soon, I hope they’ll be open!

First time here & we a bit disappointed with the quality of the chips with there being too many small hard bits of chip. The fish & mushy peas were okay.

From the recent reviews we had high expectations, but unfortunately the fish & chips were okay but nothing special. My wife had some small hard bits of chip. There was no cod on offer which was also a disappointment.

We were visiting friends in Harrogate and they recommended Harrogate Fisheries so we expected a decent meal, but what we got was the best fish and chips I’ve tasted! The fish was fresh and chunky and coated in a light crispy batter, and we polished off all the chips, which we don’t normally do. We also tried their excellent homemade Tartare sauce and fruity curry sauce. Service came with a smile - definitely will be coming back and totally recommend this place!

I've just bought and eaten a regular fish & chips literally just now from here for the first time and I've come straight on here to say that they were the best I've had in ages!! They seemed really lovely to talk to as well. It's a pleasure to say that they are my new local. 😃

Such a good fish and chip shop this was , but recent visit ordered a fish but was not cooked enough, not hot enough, what has happened to this shop ? it is not the same good product as always was.

How can you get a order of fish and chips twice with 2 portions of mushy peas wrong ? Well they did. When we got home the food was soggy and not worth the money at all

As a Yorkshire expat, I struggle to find half decent fish and chips. My visit to Harrogate Fisheries was right up there with my fondest memories of what great fish and chips should be. The service was great, the staff were friendly, the price was very competitive and the portion was generous. Hence 5 stars.

Pretty poor, ordered via just eat. Chips and fish very oily which made it pretty inedible. My order was wrong asked for Curry sauce and got gravy instead. Wouldn't order again

As an ex-pat living in the south I crave good f&c's when I visit home. That is exactly what we got. The fish was so fresh and tasty, the chips were freshly cooked and real potato and the service was so friendly. Everything was piping hot . Can't wait to come home.

I was working nearby and decided to give them a try and to be honest they didn’t disappoint. The fish and chips were the best I’ve ever tasted and I think this was due to them being cooked in beef dripping, I will definitely be calling again when I’m back in the area

Had tea from here a couple of days after moving to Harrogate. In complete shock that they do a smoked sausage supper anywhere outside of Scotland and the idea of gravy with chips is inspired! I haven't tried any other chippies in Harrogate for comparison, but this one is brilliant.

No choice on a Friday night? Not even sizes! Fish was fresh and tasty but the batter a bit stodgy and unfortunately the chips overcooked. Overall disappointing from the reviews previously which were why we chose them for chippy tea during our Harrogate weekend. Would not return.

Popped in on Saturday to collect my fish and chips. The staff serving are a real credit to the owners. They were really helpful, friendly and professional and we had a lovely chat about scraps! I felt a really valued customer! Oh - the food's great too!

Absolutely the best fish and chips in Harrogate without a doubt. Piping hot and delicious. Plenty of choice on the menu and couldn't resist the curry sauce. Staff are amazing and always friendly. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Two full dinners went in the bin. Fish & chips...vile. Old oil needs changed Desperately! Battered sausage and chips was the worst though...frozen sausages still frozen in the centre. £12 I’d have been just as well giving away cause in the end that’s exactly what I’ve done. McDonald’s order currently enroute as a replacement.

These guys are absolutely amazing. The customer service is phenomenal. Granted my order took a little longer than expected as they were very busy, but they were polite, explained the delays and added some additional extras as a "thanks for waiting". Great pricing and the quality of the food is amazing, probably the best fish and chips in the HG postcode.

Only had a chip buttie but was so nice

Have been to have the gluten free menu tonight. I find it hard to go anywhere in Harrogate that do gluten free and even more so do it well. But the fish was cooked to perfection! Batter was a good consistency, light and crispy. Can't stand thick batter. Only quarm is more salt and vinegar please , but that is personal preference.

Went on a Monday night, didn't realise it was gluten free usually ask for fish to lightly battered well done, on normal batter turns out lovely, on gluten free batter it was rock hard couldn't cut into it, so ended up in the bin. Quite pricey also

A fantastic fish and chip shop just what you would expect to find in this lovely area, a good selection of fish and chip dinners and meal deals options alongside Jumbo Sausage, batterd burger, Chicken nuggets, Spam fritter, Fishcakes, Scampi and delicious local pies. Vary reasonable prices.

Gluten free fish is excellent, really meaty piece and crispy batter, what's not to like. Other half had scampi and thoroughly enjoyed it even though he's not gluten free. Plenty of chips and mushy peas. Definitely be my goto chippy now.

Monday night is gluten free night, okay accept a limited menu; however on my first visit to this shop in a while, I would not recommend. This visit was very expensive when compared to other local chippies and also whilst quality was good the order was incorrectly supplied with the wrong drinks and without forks when asked for. No prices listed on their specials boards, I now know why. So £12.95 for two jumbo sausage and chips, served with two sides; but no forks so sides inedible, coupled with Regular Coke when ordered with Diet Coke. Not my best experience, likely to pass on visiting here in the future. A real shame, as the reception was good and they had both a welcoming feel coupled with a clean and brightly lit environment.

Our first trip and we were not disappointed! My daughter is a coeliac which puts fish and chips off limits usually, but Harrogate Fisheries have started doing gluten free Monday. Crispy batter, perfect chips... could no recommend highly enough!

We have a nearer chippy, but we always walk an extra 5 mins to get our fish n chips from Harrogate Fisheries. Excellent service, great chips and tasty grub all round.

Great Fish n Chips , but not going as road works are a nightmare at the moment and l travel some miles to get there.but when they are gone l will be back.
