Popped in whilst looking for a quick lunch. Very unusual setting for a tea room but works well with about 10 tables set up between the pews & the altar. The pews act as an overflow area if all tables are taken but we arrived as one was being vacated. Very friendly staff, a relaxing atmosphere and excellent value for money. Menu is limited to a choice of rolls, soup and a tempting range of homemade cakes & scones. Rolls could have improved if pickle, mustard or mayonnaise had been offered but the cakes & scones made up for this as they were very nice. The church itself is a delightful building and worth a visit in it’s own right. An interesting alternative lunch option.

A pleasant little church. Lovely stained glass windows. The brickwork and woodwork is very clean looking. Unusual glass doors looking out on to the street were rather surprising. Was interesting to see the pews with the trademark mouse on them made by the Mouseman.

We went for Sunday lunch prior to a visit to Fountains Abbey. The food was excellent, I had the lamb and my girlfriend had the Chicken (she is coeliac and they 100% cater for this). The staff were first class. We shared a sticky toffee pudding for dessert (that was suitable for coeliacs too) and this was very tasty too. All in all a great experience. We've been twice previously and I'm sure we'll return in the future.

The service from two youngish girls was excellent! Dare I say typical Yorkshire! Portikns are generous, represent good value and flavoursome too!

We had a voucher from Travelzoo and so on Thursday we girded our loins and took the risk. the staff were very sensible and seated everyone as far apart as possible and kept their contact to a minimum. The food was great and very well displayed. The haddock smokie with egg was delicious. My steak was cooked to perfection. The Harrogate sticky toffee pudding was sweet but not sickly A very enjoyable evening. Let's hope the virus doesn't spoil this resurant.
