The Lamb Inn in Harrogate

I visited The Lamb for Sunday lunch and were seated in a cosy room at the rear of the pub. The roast dinners were tasty , well cooked and great value for money. The service by the young staff was excellent and they are a credit to the landlady. Good choice of beers too .

Had really excellent Roast Beef and a Roast Pork on a Sunday Evening at 7pm when virtually everywhere else locally stopped serving a while ago. Lovely draught Peroni in the sunshine and great service 😀

Needed somewhere for a good meal with friends, a good recommend later and great service later added to my list of restaurants with great location and great customer service.

Great Sunday lunch. Food was excellent and the service even better. Located in a beautiful side room, due to our party size of 7, which provided privacy. However never forgotten by the serving staff, who were attentive and provided wonderful service on the day, with no pressure to leave - I think we had the table for 8 hours lol!!! We had a fabulous time, and the team are a credit to the owners!! Thank You!

Fabulous. Great location (if you ignore the traffic noise), super-friendly staff, fabulous food. What's not to like?

Food was good Leg of lamb was a lamb jount not on the bone but that aside it was nice. Very cosy little pub

We didn't stay but had food here only. This place is an absolute gem. Food was amazing, portion sizes massive and amazing value for money. Produce was fresh and tasted great. Absolutely recommend anyone to give this place a try. The only thing that I thought could be aesthetically improved was the outdoor furniture (every chair / table was really wonky and didnt seemed very clean) ... as this place doesn't allow dogs inside we sat outside and drinks got nearly knocked over a handful of times)

What a beautiful place! Stopped the night in a lovely room which was well equipped and comfortable. Roast lamb in the evening was amazing and breakfast was absolutely spot on. Can't fault this place so if you're looking for somewhere to stop in the area don't hesitate to book here, you won't be disappointed!

Had an amazing stay at The Lamb. The rooms are kitted out to such a high standard and extremely clean throughout. The owners have thought about everything (kettle, ironing board, iron, fan, hairdryer and toiletries in the bathroom). The shower is amazing and the bed is so comfy. We had an evening meal the night before and the food was delicious along with a fantastic breakfast the following morning. The staff were so attentive and couldn’t do enough to help and make our stay enjoyable. Would I stay again, most definitely! I can’t rate this place high enough. Thank you ☺️

We didn't stay here but stopped off for lunch on the off chance that they had a table for two available, they did. The food was very nice, as was the atmosphere and the staff were all friendly. Great place.

Just spent a lovely night at Tge Lamb Inn, the food was lovely, service excellent and tge rooms are fabulous. We will definitely be back.

We came here for one night to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday. The staff were very helpful in organising a bottle of Champagne for when we arrived for lunch, and they’d given us a lovely window seat. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast and all three meals were outstanding. My husband said his fillet steak was in the top 2 steaks he’d ever had - high praise! We selected our breakfast choices on a slip the day before and it was served in the pub lounge next to a beautiful roaring fire. In addition to the hot breakfast they also had our fresh fruit and yogurt, cereal, toast and assorted jams and honey and fresh tea and coffee. Just wonderful! The property seems to have three rooms and they are all accessed by external doors so we could come and go as we pleased. We were in Room 2 with the comfiest bed, tea and coffee and little extra chocolates were provided, and the bathroom was very spacious with a good shower. Nothing was too much for any of the staff. We’d love to come again when the weather is nicer and explore nearby. You will need a car or grab a taxi to get anywhere.

I had the Chicken Liver and Brandy Parfait followed by Roast Pork and Stuffing. It’s a traditional pub in a nice part of the countryside. It’s nice food and good service, my only criticism is that I would have liked Mashed Potato with the Sunday Roast.

We had two wonderful dinners at the Lamb Inn while on a hiking holiday in the Peak District. Everything we ordered was delicious, from the fish and chips to the pie and beef bourguignon, was all 5 stars. Kids enjoyed their meals as well. Will definitely return the next time we are back.

Really beautiful luxurious room with a lot of thought put into making sure guests have every comfort. The food in the pub was top notch. I recommend the lamb Henry. Staff were friendly and helpful. A great base for the western Peaks.

just come back from a weekend break at the lamb Inn what can I say absolutely wonderful couldn't fault it at all the lady that owns it was fantastic nothing was too much trouble in fact all the staff were great the food was fabulous and the room was spotlessly clean with everything you'd need can't wait to go back

Service was really good. I asked for recommendations and was told the lamb shank was really nice. So I went with that and they were right. Came with mash, vegetables and mint gravy. Being from Manchester I'd have liked a little more gravy. But this was amazing. The meat fell of the bone, not to much fat which was a bonus. My wife ordered a steak, like she always does, and sometimes finds as issue.. not on the occasion which says alot. Definitely be visiting again. Only half an hour away from Manchester. The food alone makes the trip worth it.

Great food and beer with good service with a cozy wood fire

Not long got home from here.. our new year meal tradition. Wild mushroom risotto with parmesan shavings, 10oz rump with Stilton sauce, and bakewell pudding & custard for dessert. All 5*. Highly recommend.

Very poor . Booked for a Christmas lunch and were put in a small cold room with no Christmas decorations. Complained and got moved to another small cold room. Staff were turning off lights around us at 2.30 as restaurant closed at 3. Pretty much pushed us out of the door. Bar looked nice but definitely won't return to the restaurant

Had dinner here on a busy wednesday night. Food was good. It was so busy that the staff couldn’t keep up with serving the tables.

My walking group booked Sunday Lunch after a long walk. The roast dinner I had was exceptional, and the service was excellent despite there being 14 of us. I would go back without hesitation.

An excellent sunday lunch today at the Lamb Inn. Slow cooked brisket melted in the mouth, others had lamb and said couldnt fault it and the nut roast was very good. Lovely fire going, do us damp walkers could dry out, it was very busy and rightly so, excellent food in a lovely setting. 1 little niggle was we didnt think there were enough vegetables, plenty of potatoes though.

Visting the area for a weekend away with friends and can happily say this is one of the best pubs I've been to in a while , great staff, beautiful pub, and great food. Highly recommend the lamb and steaks on offer 10/10. Also, just a note they don't include service charge, but they should as it was perfect.

I ordered rack of lamb, and partner ordered shoulder of lamb. Both meals were tasty and enjoyable. The Pub has a nice ambience and the staff are friendly.

Loved it here, sat outside & enjoyed live music & fantastic food. Will return again & again. A very large Gazebo is now installed in part of the beer garden which is fantastic to sit under in all weather with or without a dog, blankets & cushions are supplied, fantastic idea. I highly recommend The Lamb Inn & have returned many many times.

Amazing food in the evening, both the duck and lamb dishes were fantastic. The atmosphere in the pub was lovely. Beautiful, comfy rooms and the breakfast was just as good as the evening food! 100% recommend. Only negative was the WiFi doesn't reach the rooms.

Gorgeous pub, service was excellent and the food was delicious. Only improvements were, barely any vegetarian options on the menu and not dog friendly which is such a shame!

We used to go here as a kid some years ago, we decided to have our anniversary lunch at the Lamb Inn. Wow it brought back some memories. Thank you to the Lamb Inn staff for making the lunch feel special. The staff were lovely, polite and helpful, food and service excellent. Lovely quaint pub with a great relaxing atmosphere set in a lovely setting.

My meal was 7 out of 10 I had a steak it was very fatty but it was cooked to perfection. My partner is a vegetarian and they really don't cater for that side of market. I would go back friends and sample other things on the menu as I was looking about and there seemed to be a lot of happy faces

Me and my missus went on our first date here 4yrs ago and fell in love with the place!. We've been for food loads of times since and it's always absolutely delicious. Last night we stayed over for the first time and the room was so cosy and the owners had thought of everything!. We had a beautiful night and would highly recommend it to anybody wanting a fantastic evening together!. Thank you so much x

Took my parents here for an evening meal. The food was freshly cooked and delicious. They clearly put a lot of care into making good food here. Service was friendly and welcoming.

Popped in after a long walk nearby. The ladies were extremely welcoming. The food was amazing. Probably the best steak burger I've ever had. Will definitely be back.

Loved our stay here for my husbands birthday. Gorgeous food and lovely breakfast. Room is a great size. Bed so comfy and they even had a fan for us in this hot weather.

Food is quite good but menu quite limited i find, outside sitting area is nice for food and drink on a sunny day. The image is my Pork Tomahaw Steak dish at around £20, I did feel it was a bit expensive for a pork chop which wasn't that big and a few chips though.

Didn't stay, just called in for lunch

Have been wanting to visit this beautiful old Inn for years, having passed by it dozens of times, whilst on our trips to and from Glossop. So glad we finally had time and opportunity to book a table for dinner last Saturday 3/8/24. Loved everything about it, the cosiness of a real old English country pub, the friendly service and amazing food at reasonable prices. The lamb shank was particularly delicious. Just one little disappointment - I requested a side salad in place of chips, which they did for me, but the side salad was miniscule! Given how cheap basic salad ingredients are, I really cannot understand why they didn't provide something a little more substantial?

We visited here with friends who live in the area so have no idea about the rooms etc. Our friends said it had a good, local reputation. We had a very nice lunch and drinks. Good food and good-sized portions. Friendly and helpful staff who looked after us. It was a shame it was a rainy day as there's a very pretty and well cared for & furnished outside area.

Was passing and went in for a meal. Good food well cooked and Good service. Had the belly pork starter, very nice, and very well cooked, it just fell apart. Being picky would have been elevated with a bit of sweetness, perhaps apple sauce. Mains had fish stew, again very nice and well cooked, a bigger hunk of bread would have been good. Partner had the tomahawk pork, very well cooked, chips a little dry, needed and needed sauce or gravy. Easy to recommend, and is on my list of places to return to.

Wasn’t open when I got there. My issue not theirs. Looked nice. Would have waited but there were paces to go and people to see. Has the feel of “will be good”.

Had an excellent lunch, very tasty and well presented. Very pleased indeed and we will come back. The location is rural and has plenty of parking. Good prices and well worth a visit and something to eat.

Good place for food at a good price

The team at The Lamb Inn hosted my husband and I, along with our guests, for a welcome party the night before our wedding. Working with Charlotte & Fiona to plan the event was an absolute dream, they were very kind and helpful. The food was delicious and the staffing was excellent. Some of our wedding guests lodged at The Lamb Inn for the weekend and were very happy with their accommodation - comfortable, clean and stylish. We hope to come back next time we are in the area!

Had are 37th anniversary here and it's as good now as always been. First went 1986.

Nice location off the main road with off road parking. Lots of outside tables if the weather is good if it isn't then beware the pub is NOT dog friendly and that's why only 3 stars. From a service perspective as we had a dog and had to sit outside (on wet seats due to early morning rain). There was no offer to even open the outside door as I struggled with 2 pints and 2 packets of crisps to exit the outside door. The pub wasn't busy so would have been nice to have someone open the door

Very popular eating emporium. YOU MUST PHONE TO AVOID DISSAPOINTMENT, Food is very good, If you don't know the location check as it is just off the main road and I am aware of people zooming past missing it all together. Enjoyable meal but can get very busy - SO BOOK
