Best Fish n Chips in Thirsk, being coming for years with my daughter and she loves it, thanks as always for the free lolly to go

Lovely little old pub. Staff welcoming and helpful. We had the Sunday lunch and it was lovely, plenty of meat and veg, plus a large Yorkshire pudding. We were too full for a pudding, so just ordered tea and coffee - which came with biscuits! Would go again next time we are in the area.

Lovely deli and cafe in Thirsk. We went as a group for brunch and had a good fill! As a vegan, I was happy they could adapt the breakfast for me and the tea selection was fab :)

£16.00 for a pot of tea for two and two dry fruit scones with butter. Really disappointed and ridiculously expensive for a cycle cafe.

Gorgeous little spot and great local cheese and tea and scones and chutney. Friendly staff too, who chatted with us for a while. They gave us free apples as well.

Good value and good range of quality food

We booked the Christmas Package what can I say ? Room was nice modern but so hot it was like the amazon. We had the window open all night to no avail, food very disappointing, seriously poor 34 pounds for a bottle of wine that we sent back it was so bad. Should have had christmas lunch in weatherspoons. Sort it out Golden Fleece, tired and mediocre at best.

This was a superb pub for drinking, located conveniently across from the train station for a quick stop! The block across the ceiling adds a nice feel covered by placemats and counter is well-presented, staff were friendly too. I had a refreshing pint of Red Stripe at comfortable seating, appreciating the old school character of this pub!

Cafe Nero Thirsk has become a dirty, filthy Coffee shop, not worth visiting !!!! over the past 6 to 12 Months the standards have fallen so far, the only solution is to close it and completely refurbish it!!!! The Chairs and Tables are only fit for the Rubbish Dump!! The walls and floors are dirty and marked.!! The cleaning is very poor and not fit for purpose!!!! The customer toilet is not fit for purpose, it is filthy and certainly unhygienic. The filth around the Doorframe is a breeding ground for God knows what!!! Staff checks are a joke, and more times than not there is no Toilet Roll!!! The food choice isa boring and storage is suspect!!! Staff whilst friendly enough , do not appear to be interested in their workplace and how it looks to customers !!!!

We Stayed Monday-Friday, Visited The Harveys Bar Several Times, One Member Off Staff Just Seemed Like She Couldnt Be Bothered, Always Dirty Glasses Around and Tables Not Wiped. Today We Visited For Food, Nobody On The Bar, We Waited Around 5 Mins Before Having To Go and Find Someone. Dirty Plates With Food On Tables That Looked Like They Had Been There A While. Asked For A Pint Of Coke Was Told We Dont Do It But Yet She's Sat At The Bar With A Pint Of Coke. We Ordered Food, Tables Werent Set, Bairing In Mind No Customers Around To Serve. Food Came Out Couldn't Fault That, But Had To Get Our Own Cuttelry and Condiments Even Though Previous Nights Other Staff Set The Tables. To Busy Playing On Her Phone, Playing Some Type Of Candy Crush Game, Instead Of Looking After Customers. Same Member Of Staff That Worked A Monday and Thursday.

very friendly staff and food was beaut, large York is pudd with belly pork (and plenty of) and steak pie and mash, can’t beat good old British fodder, so much so we came back on Sunday to try the carvery, and again was not disappointed, again friendly and welcoming staff, and a Sunday carvery that made me think my mum was in the kitchen.

Thank you for another lovely meal on Sunday. The service was so friendly, the food excellent and the wine delicious. We had a lovely, leisurely afternoon together and very much enjoyed it. We'll see you again on our next visit.
