Today was our 1st visit to The Rose & Crown in years!. 2 of us had fish and chips, my husband had the crab main. Then we each had a dessert. The food was full of flavour, presented well and large enough to share 1 between 2 people. Very reasonably priced. Excellent food and service!.

Went to this pub Tonight to play darts. The night was going very well untill we wanted a drink at 10-45 the member of staff was outside we waited 5 minuets my friend went and asked her for a drink and she said last orders had been called he came back and said no more. I then went to ask why she gave the same answer this is still at 10-50 she was very abrupt and obnoxious. I then talked to the team we played and they said it's not the first time. I will not be going in that pub again, and neither will my team

Went for an impromptu tea service and wine was fab, food was terrible, it was supposed to be a sizzling platter, not sure where the sizzle went, the chips were just warm but the whole meal was tasteless, it felt like it was rushed and inedible to be fair, won’t be rushing back o oy for the Pinot

As I was off work my wife and I decided to take a trip into Beverley and have lunch at The Beverley Arms. We were early at 12pm , and saw the lady (oriental looking but no name sorry) who did not utter a word to us. She just poured over the seating sheets….no smiles, no words. Eventually, as I was just about to say forget it….in reaction to her rude manner, she said over here and we followed her to the table. We ordered two Americano’s one with hot milk and one with cold milk. It was ages coming to us, when it did, the lad did not bring the cold milk. We reminded him immediately that we had ordered both and he in a slightly irritated voice said I’ll get it, give me a minute. We never saw him again, or the cold milk. Another lady brought me some, this was not a good start. We had ordered the gammon and the fish and chips. Bearing in mind the restaurant was very quiet at this point, the food took 30 minutes to arrive. In the meantime we had to put up with waiting staff dancing around and singing loudly at the pass. This is supposed to be a quality establishment. I was really having second thoughts at this point. The food eventually arrived, I’ll keep it brief. The gammon was small and way overcooked, it was very dry. The chips were lousy, small crispy bits mainly that should never have made the plate, really bad. The “fish” (no idea what species it was? It didn’t look like Haddock or Cod) was greasy and the chips the same, little bits as opposed to proper chips. To top it off was an egg cup size pot of mushy peas….so greedy. I was overwhelmingly disappointed with the whole experience. At near £20 each for the meals it was poor value and it was not a pleasant lunch. I won’t be returning. Anyone reading this don’t bother, ….go into Hull and try The Minerva where they care about the food which is excellent. I am not in any way affiliated, or a friend of The Minerva, I just appreciate their service. The Beverley Arms was very poor sadly.

We live close to flamborough and have dined many times. The Sunday carvery is very nice but our latest visit has let the place down I had a prawn sandwich that had the smallest prawns I have ever seen and not many of them and the prawn sauce was none existent just soggy bread that seemed like they had just defrosted the prawns. And for over £8 not value for money. I had a large coffee which only just filled half the cup! Don't think todays visit was value for money.

Went here Good Friday for food (or ‘hoping for food’ ) Placed order through the app , received a message & email to say order successful, only a 15 min wait for food, MONEY TAKEN from my bank account . All good we thought . 5 mins later a staff member comes across to say they’ve stopped serving food early 9mins before we ordered. A refund will be issued . 6 days later, no refund received! Being passed between head office and the pub itself . Why does the app take orders if food not being served ??

Have passed by many times and dropped by for some poultry feed and to look at what was on offer. Basically not a lot. Limited range in shop which was overpriced. Restaurant or more like basic cafe was nearly empty and lacking character. To cap it all the owner was extremely rude and certainly does not know how to attract new customers. will not be going back !

Had the pleasure of dining at the Tine restaurant as we were staying in Hawes for the weekend. The staff were so pleasant and welcoming. The decor was very tasteful and classical and loved the baby grand in the middle of the restaurant. We opted for the 3 courses for £59 and were not disappointed. The wait for food was not long at all and was piping hot. Nice little touches with different glassware for water decanters, simple but very much a conversation starter. We were made to feel we had all the time in the world and not made to feel rushed at all. Such a pleasant experience and a little gem of a place hidden in the hillside and I’ll definitely be back for a stay over. Keep doing what you are doing…

My husband booked a table at 1.30 for tonight and they booked us in for 5.30. He checked if there was a children’s menu and he was told there was. When we got there there was no booking for us but they found a table for us. A young girl came to take our drink order. She asked our name which she asked to how it was spelt - how name is an easy name to spell. My husband asked what ales they have and she said all of the drinks are in the menu on the table. My daughter asked for a Diet Coke and I asked what alcohol free ciders they do. The young girl asked another your girl and I chose my drink. My husband explained to the first girl that the drink menu was only for wine so asked again what ales they have and the other girl said it might be easier to go to the bar. My husband to the bar but it is so small and there was a lot of workmen at the bar it wasn’t easy to get to. I went to look at the specials in the other room and the second girl told me that there wasn’t any Diet Coke so I chose a j20. We asked if we could look at the children’s menu so the first girl came back and said that they don’t have one but they could do a plate of chips for her. When the drinks came the j20 hadn’t been shaken so it was not nice to drink and when I tried my cider it was not alcohol free. I don’t drink - I can’t drink and I was driving. That was the last straw and we decided we wouldn’t stay. Definitely not a family pub and definitely not somewhere we would go again

A wonderful two course meal at lunch today. Great service and great food. Two courses for £15.50 is great value. The pub is welcoming and great to see so many walkers and dogs. Thank you to all who work there. Returned on Friday 11th April. We stopped off on our walk from Elloughton. Great sandwiches and we loved the triple cooked chips.
