Whenever we come to Filey, we always make sure we eat here. The staff are fantastic and the food is even better. They make a family feel very welcome and can’t do enough for you. If you are staying in Filey, Bridlington or Scarborough, make a point of eating at the St Quintin Arms

The food was probably one of the worst meals out ever. I ordered a steak burger but what appeared was of the poorest and cheapest quality, more like frozen or tinned...I should not have eaten any of it and wish I hadn't had the small amount I did....never again....yuck.

A warm friendly welcome, followed by delicious food and chilled drinks. My husband had the posh fish finger sandwich and I devoured the homemade lamb and mint pie. We enjoyed a superb lunch today. Prawn curry off the "specials" board & gammon, egg (2) & chips. This pub serves traditional pub food, but top quality & excellent presentation. The menu is varied & there is something for everyone. The Landlord & Landlady are friendly, professional & helpful. It's a good idea to book or at least ring beforehand. We did, as we had a dog with us & we wanted to make sure they could accommodate us. There are rooms to stay over too, but these aren't dog friendly, but wouldn't stop us from returning for both food & an overnight stay. Highly recommended.

Visited today for Sunday lunch with my Daughter & her partner. Never to be repeated I’m afraid. Perhaps as my Dad is a chef I have high standards however this was well below what I would expect. My vegetarian main course was £11.50 for a supermarket bought vegetable puff pastry square. No Yorkshire pudding, no roast parsnips like my other diners. Had to give my potatoes away as roasted in animal fat!!!! Way over priced for what I got! The vegetables were hot were red hot but not the greatest rather over done. My daughter and her partner did enjoy their meat but commented the parsnips were undercooked and the Yorkshire puddings were not great. The desert I was hoping would be the redeeming feature but I was sadly disappointed chocolate orange cheesecake was so small I almost laughed. It arrived in a bun case yes a bun case imagine how small it was for £4.95. My Daughter & partner has the Brownie which they said was nice. We were sat by a log burner but as I was in the passage through to the toilet I felt cold. The route to the toilets was freezing cold. It’s a shame because my daughter took me for a treat and she was VERY DISAPPOINTED didn’t feel able to complain as the bar we were sat in had several drinkers around the bar. I think some advice from my Dad a chef of 50 plus years would work wonders.

We visited the St Quintin Arms on a whim having seen it mentioned in Countryside Events an East Riding council publication for walkers. We did not initialy intend having a meal but the specials board tempted us. We were not disapointed, my wife had Lamb pie and i had stuffed lamb breast. The stuffed lamb breast was very salty to my taste, but in defence of the dish I have a very low tollerance of things even slightly salty, so some who always add salt may have found it reasonable. Fortunaly the stuffed breast came with a dish of lamb stew which was not salty and delicious. My wife declared the lamb pie as very good with a recomend for the pastry. We were both serves a selection of vegitble which wr perfectly cooked having "some bite" and lots of flaviour. I had a couple of pints of World Top ale and my wife drove home. Friendly pub atmoshere great food , great pity its not closer to our home. Added : I have given them 3 stars for food only because of the heavy handed use of salt in one dish, perhapse a little harsh but I do hate over salting.

A very pleasant surprise to find this village pub hotel tucked away in the East Yorkshire Wolds. We had just picked up an item bought over the internet in a small village right off the beaten track. The "local" was recommended for a decent pint and good food. A well conditioned Wold real ale with a tasty starter with some home-made wedges was a good choice. I had warm sliced pigeon breast and beetroot salad while my wife had tasty Italian style meat balls. Generous portions for a starter and enough to help us on our way back. Real Yorkshire.

We could not have been made more welcome by the proprietor Ian. The food, all we had was soup, was tremendous. What a credit to the kitchen. Beautiful warm ciabatta with oodles of butter - unfortunately not on my diet, plus a large pot of coffee. Superb! We have lived in Driffield for nearly five years and this is our first visit. What have we been playing at? Can't wait for an excuse to return, the menu was imaginative and local. One tip - I would advise booking at peak times. Thanks for a lovely lunchtime halt.

We wanted to try this pub/restaurant but the web site was unavailable and as my wife is mainly vegetarian or pescetarian diet, we wanted to check the menu first. We therefore settled on the Old Star Inn Kilham but our choices on the menu were unavailable and there was no alternative for my wife so we took a chance on St Qinintin, glad we did. I had the lamb cutlets and they were superb. My wife had a seafood pancake and said it was really good, although she couldn't quite finish it due to the generous portion. The staff were friendly and helpful, the bar was clean and inviting.

A warm and friendly pub which was recommended to us for the quality of the food. We were not disappointed - there was an interesting menu and our dishes were served in a friendly and efficient menu and the quality of the food was excellent

Friday night, out for a meal with parents.Warm and friendly welcome at the door and straight to our table in the recently re-furbished dining room.Excellent choice on the menu and good selection of drinks too!The food we selected was well presented, well cooked and well good value for money!!The service was exceptionally attentive and made sure we were happy, without being overpowering. If you have not been to the St Quentin Arms, please do give it a try!Oh, you can also book a room there too (we have not done that, so cannot tell you anything about it)P.S. The place is actually called the St Quintin Arms

We were two couples dining out for a celebration meal. The rural location and interior decor was charming and the proprietors welcoming and down to earth. Whilst starters were adequate and deserts good, the main dishes were sadly very average. Battered haddock was accompanied by a large salad and a seperate pot of large soggy chips. A lamb chop was very tasty, accompanied by a varied, but very small pot of vegetables. Rissotto and strogenoff were virtually drowned in an excess of salad. Whilst prices were moderately higher than average, they were not justified by the overall content of the meals.

A good British country pub with an interesting and reasonably varied menu including plenty of good game dishes =- make sure to check out the board for the specials. The three who had deserts seems to very much enjoy them and I enjoyed a good (and generous) cheese selection

Being out in the country most customers will need to designate a driver but even they won't be disappointed at the friendly welcome, good (better than normal pub) food, interesting menu and reasonable prices. The landlord and staff treat customers as friends and are always up for some light hearted banter. The beers ( for those who are drinking) seem to be well kept and include Wold Top.

having read all the glowing reviews of this place I am reluctant to even review but our honest opinion is as follows. My steak sirloin cooked to grey I did ask for no blood so can't complain on that but the chips were cold and soggy ( why can't people cook chips any more ) the sauce livened up the dish a bit but I wasn't impressed. However it gets worse my wife ( who was the reason we were there Birthday ) had a dish that was really very poor, the lamb was tough the vegetables cold and raw the potatoes where disgusting ( I tried some ), a awful meal we came home and put some Iceland potato skins in the oven ( I kid you not Iceland frozen food ). I mentioned when paying our views on the food but was informed we should have complained whilst eating the meal but they where very sorry, not as sorry as I was for giving my wife a meal to remember for all the wrong reasons on her birthday.

As a group of 10 weary cyclists nearing the end of our coast to coast cycle ride we stopped off at the St Quentin's yesterday for some much needed sustenance. It being Sunday lunchtime the restaurant was fully booked but notwithstanding this we couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. We all ordered sandwiches- mine was a lovely bacon and brie in warm ciabatta which was served with a fresh crisp salad and a bowl of home made chips- I couldn't have asked for anything better. We were able to enjoy our lunch sitting outside in the beer garden- the waitress even offered to get the parasol out for us to make sure we were out of the direct sunshine. A really lovely place and a great lunch but what impressed me more than anything was how welcoming and friendly all the staff were. I would highly recommend a visit here!

We visited to attend a wedding and to stay overnight. The room was lovely, absolutely spotless with beautiful views. Nice little touches with an assortment of tea and coffees and biscuits. Ian and Zoe and the team put in an amazing effort organising the wedding and nothing was too much trouble. Dinner and breakfast excellent. Lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be returning and recommending to all our friends.

Very nice good food reasonable price, not far from main shops and other places to eat. Opposite the green near fair maid pub. The food is better at the bluebell without a doubt, and less rowdy.
