Lovely pub , beautiful interesting interior lovely booth leather seating upholstered gorgious rustic looks oak tables gorgious wooded fire , the food was lovely for breakfast crisp bacon , eggs and sausages lovely , coffee is lovely also we shall.be back , Lucy our hostess for the day was very welcoming at our table, lovely personality thanks for that Lucy very good having a conversation with you , me and garry will be back again.

Stayed for 3 nights Sunday to Wednesday so missed the Saturday market they have at the front of the pub, very comfortable room with tea and coffee and biscuits. Breakfast was amazing, didn't eat at night as we met friends there who took us to different places. Staff were always available when needed, it has a lovely 'secret beer garden' at the back of hotel. And there is parking available. We would stay there again.

We went for dinner with our 8 year old granddaughter and were very well looked after by Hannah who went the extra mile for us and nothing was too much trouble for her. The food cooked by Kieran and Jan was excellent and we had a very pleasant evening.

Had tried to book a room having booked a day at nearby Beverley Racecourse for my Birthday, but unfortunately no rooms were available. Having seen how amazing the pics looked, I decided to book a meal online, which was so straightforward and also easy to amend the time. When I arrived, the place was so so busy as it was an obvious favourite with racegoers. I told reception of my booking & was immediately showed to a table. We ordered a Sirloin Steak & a Rib-eye Steak, which arrived reasonably quickly and both were cooked to perfection. I rounded my meal off with a portion of sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel ice cream..an excellent choice. We were served throughout by Harry, who though relatively new, was attentive, friendly and polite throughout the meal, wishing me a Happy Birthday for the following day. I will definitely be coming back for an overnight stay, at a quieter time.

Harry who served us was really friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was really lovely. We liked the way the restaurant was organised in the sense that we were out of the busy bar area but still could appreciate the music.

Waited on drinks, and the garlic bread with cheese was awful! Way too much garlic and hardly any cheese.

Lovely pub, nice staff (didn’t catch any names) food was great, I had the steak sandwich and it was cooked to perfection, no fat no gristle no horrible chewy bits you usually get in a steak sandwich. The rest or my party had the fish one the posh fish finger sandwich, again well presented and tasted fresh. Only issue was dessert seemed to have been forgotten so cancelled as didn’t want to wait any longer, refund given, no issue. Will definitely be back

7 of us stayed for one night at Kings Head, we was greeted by Lucy who looked after us all, very polite and absolutely lovely to talk to. She couldn't do enough for us all. We had breakfast and lunch here which was all spot on, staff very attentive. 100% recommended

We were on holiday in Beverley and went for tea here on our last night as a special tea, the pub itself is lovely inside the decor looks nice and it was quiet when we went for 5pm so we're escorted to our table and had privacy as no one else in, the waitress was also lovely and friendly and was nice with our children, unfortunately the food was a let down, hence the 2 score, firstly I ordered my LO from the childrens menu a starter of hummous which was served with carrot and cucumber sticks, (this was why I ordered it as she loves cucumber and carrot), however it came with pieces of pitta bread which was a bit odd, the sea bass was good I had lasagne but it was very bland and burnt all round edge so was difficult to get out of the dish to eat it was served with some mixed salad leaves which were limp and just not nice, was more like a ready meal job bunged in the microwave it was supposed to have pancetta in it but found none in it, my OH had the steak which was cooked as asked medium rare but it was full of gristle, so was a bit off putting and the children both had sausage and mash which was a good sized portion but served in a dish so was difficult to cut up the sausages without everything jumping out a plate would be better for children, the puddings were crumble which was fine but came with a tiny jug of custard and we had asked for extra custard as my mum struggles to eat things which are too dry, and a sticky toffee pudding came with squirty cream but had been asked to be served with pouring cream, so was sent back as they didn't have pouring cream just ice cream instead of the squinty cream, the children both had from the childrens menu a fruit salad which stated it was pineapple strawbs and rasps which is again why it was ordered as they love all the above and they both came with just watermelon and orange with the skin on basically quarters of an orange like you serve at football matches ive never seen a fruit salad like that so asked the waitress why it wasn't pineapple strawberry rasp as stated on menu only to be told they had had the wrong delivery in so none left, so a little communication when this happens to the customer would be a good idea, however at payment we mentioned this and got this discounted off final bill, it was very dissapointing and unfortunately from this experience wouldnt be back again we went on a Thursday and it wasn't busy either so not sure what the problem was

very poor the lasagne was burnt the fruit salad said it has strawberries,raspberries and pineapple but it has melon and more melon massive pieces of orange basically a whole orange cut into quarters,the excuse was the suppliers didn’t deliver the correct fruit,rubbish excuse as there is a supermarket down the road. Only good thing was the service that was very good.

Great pub for lunch or evening meal.

The staff were excellent. We were extremely well looked after. The table was large enough to accommodate us all comfortably. Everyone enjoyed their food, including a very fussy Grand daughter.

The worst cocktails ever. Went for drinks with friends and were doing a cocktail tour of bev. This was by far the worst. When we mentioned it, the staff just shrugged and walked away. Very disappointing. Explains why on a busy Friday everywhere else, this pub was empty. Good opportunity to play darts though.

A little underwhelming. We traveled over for their sunday roast but found the meat quite dry, which was really the takeaway from our visit. Could have done with more gravy for this reason. The veg was tasty as was the Yorkshire pudding and reasonable portion size but considering the quality I would say overpriced. The pork was also not served with the crackling as advertised, disaster! Desserts went down well, especially the basque cheesecake. The staff were very friendly and accommodating when we asked, could maybe have thought forward about what might be asked and have prepared for example condiments, they took a bit of time to come out after the meals were served. Overall, not the worst, not the best, a bit on the expansive side. Would I go back? If I were in the area again I would definitely try elsewhere before returning.

Visited for the first time and was very impressed with the food. The Sunday roasts looked great and the burger I had was amazing. Very reasonable priced.

Greeted on arrival by a lovely lady and checked in. The lady showed us around and took us through the fire procedures. Lovely comfy room. Nice breakfast although drinks were just warm. Alcohol drinks and food were quite expesive compared to other places around however we had a lovely stay and service was really good. Thank you!

We stayed overnight in a very clean and lovely room, a bit tired but we loved it regardless, the bed was very comfortable, all the staff were lovely and seemed to genuinely care to make our stay a good experience. My friend told me the breakfast was lovely and is a decent price but sadly we were aware of the steep charges with the drinks so on our night out we went to other places as just too costly. This pub was hugely popular thirty years ago and even as recently as three years ago we came in for drinks and it was very busy.. I suspect the high prices are the problem as people I know across the board want competitive prices and the kings head pricing for drinks is extortionate. I think management need to seriously look at being more reasonably priced. We would definitely stay again but unless the prices changed like everyone else we would drink elsewhere, a real shame as the pub has everything going for it.

Nobody seemed to aware that we had booked a table. We were offered a table next to a busy one when when all the others were empty, as it was the only one that was set. We were left waiting in the restaurant and I had to go into the bar and ask if someone was coming to take our order. A waiter finally arrived, put two menus on the table and promptly left, even though I informed him that we were having two roasts. The food arrived but we still didn't have any cutlery. A discussion took place between the two staff as to were the cutlery was going to come from, whilst our food was going cold. I asked for for some extra gravy, when it finally arrived it was in a tiny milk jug! The food was very average, with a grand total of two carrots. Shocking service and average food. Needless to say, we won't be going back there again!

We visited the King's Head when we stayed in Beverley for the racing meet, we could not have been treated any better, my wife has food intolerances and Ellen was really helpful with this. She was very courteous and we were all pleased with the experience we would recommend and would visit again if we were in the area.

Room was good with good facilities, (loved the coffee machine and the cookie). The internet connection was good, (a deal breaker for me as a business user), but the desk was difficult to use and there was no suitable chair to use at the desk. I was very grateful for the residents parking. The evening meal was very nice, but I was disappointed in breakfast although I accept that was most likely due to my personal tastes.... no cereal - my normal breakfast, no marmalade for marmalade on toast, my second choice.

First and last visit because of a rude and condescending young barman !!! Kept insisting (4 times ! ) I had Tabasco in a Bloody Mary and 4 times I said NO ! So he put salt and pepper which I did NOT ask for ! Good job I don't have allergies hey !!!

I visited the King’s head for a drink with a friend, I used to come here frequently however I haven’t in recent years. I ordered a double pink gin and lemonade, and when they told me the price of £13 my jaw nearly hit the floor. This is double what it would have cost even just a few years ago, in the other local bars I’d visited that night the same drink was costing in the region of £7-£8. I understand that there has been a rise in inflation which has meant a price increase, however that level of price increase is ridiculous. This means I will no longer be drinking here, which saddens me as it is a lovely pub. The prices of drinks really needs to be reviewed to make them fair for customers, I have also drank at other Marstons pubs recently where the same kind of drink doesn’t cost anywhere near as much.

An excellent establishment. Helpful, friendly staff that really good that extra mile. Food was gorgeous, really tasty and well presented. We will be back for another meal soon. Keep up the good work!

Waitress very attentive and helpful. Food on this occasion was poor. Halloumi fries were overcooked, too thin, and not hot. Fish and chips - mushy peas very small quantity and dry; fish was over battered which had not cooked on the inside and was soggy. We therefore left all the batter. We mentioned this at the time of our visit. We had a New Zealand MarlboroughSauvignon Blanc which was excellent. We had also had a Sunday lunch last weekend which was much better quality - although one of our Yorkshire puddings was overdone.

We had the bottomless brunch. Emily was our waitress and was great.

the couple of times we’ve been in we’ve been seen to by marianna and she’s been absolutely lovely to us. however service has been rather slow those couple times which was unfortunate, but once we received our food it was excellent and we really enjoyed it.

The Kings Head is a lovely traditional pub in beverley's Saturday market. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, there is a good selection of beers larger and cider, including hand pulled cask conditioned real ales, which were in excellent condition when i visited. The pub is very popular for its good food.

Came for tea last night for a mum/daughter date with my little girl.was a little apprehensive at first as I know it's a popular watering hole for the young uns on a Friday night, but we sat in the resteraunt and was a great atmosphere. Food was fantastic, even though the majority of my hallumi fries were pinched by the little human. The staff were brilliant with my daughter, made her feel very grown up for our friday night out, especially Hannah who served us. Service and staff were fabulous. Will Definitely be back. Thanks for having us.

Called in today for lunch with a friend. New menu was fairly good, lunchtime deal really welcomed. Beers decent. Staff on duty today, Thursday, 10 out of 10, informative, engaging, polite and professional. Food so so but good value.

Staff were friendly and efficient. There were 29 of us and the food was brought out in a timely manner. The food was hot and tasty.

We enjoyed lunch with friends at the King's Head today. A couple of days earlier we called in for coffee to check out the pub and were well looked after by Kora, who was also on duty when we returned for lunch. The pub is well-appointed and has a good atmosphere. Staff are friendly and efficient. Once again, Kora took care of us and we enjoyed a relaxed meal in convivial company and surroundings. As vegetarians we often struggle for choice, especially in more "traditional" pubs and although the veggie choices here weren't extensive, there was enough variety to enable us to deliberate for more than the usual ten seconds it takes to find the one veggie option. The dishes were well-presented and appetising. Not the cheapest place in the town but the service, appointments and food were of a quality which justified paying that bit extra.
