Food was OK, not the best. Plenty to choose from and service was good, but food was nothing outstanding.

Had the best server dan he was brilliant and brought the best service. He made the experience great he should get a pay rise.

My wife and I recently visited The Beech Tree, and it exceeded our expectations. The food was absolutely amazing, perfectly cooked with rich, flavorful dishes that left us thoroughly satisfied. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The welcoming atmosphere provided the perfect setting for a relaxing evening out. We’ll definitely be returning soon and highly recommend it to others looking for great food and excellent service.

Overall I was pleased with the visit and the quality of my main course, sausage and mash was very good. I did find the overall portion size a bit on the small side compared to other similar places I have been and the price. That said it was a nice pleasant visit and a good atmosphere.

Was in party of 8 for Xmas meal on Wed eve 6th Dec, very long wait for 1st course same for 2nd and when it arrived was warm and looked and tasted like it had been ready since the lunch time . I had been looking forward as I had been told what a lovely place for food it was . The service for drinks was as bad due to only 2 bar staff and the pub packed as there was a pub quiz that night . As for the atmosphere we were on a back wall with all other customers ! Would have been better all Xmas meals served in a better area

Had breakfast with Santa and previous years it’s been brilliant however this year was not. Had to pay for adult drink which haven’t done in the past. Not at all organised when seeing Santa was a free for all and then my 10 year old son got a toddlers gift - they had rang earlier to check the kids ages so I thought he would have an appropriate gift and it was a wooden jigsaw with 10 pieces in it. Food also not as nice as previous years. Won’t be coming back next year!

Myself, my wife and our 3 grandchildren attended breakfast with Santa this morning, breakfast was lovely and quickly served, our grandchildren loved there time with Santa and was able to have photos taken and presents where given out , the whole experience was great and we will book again next year

It's OK, nothing special. Personally I hate loud sport been shown in pubs, so this does put me off

There was an epic failure to supply my friend with a steak cooked to her preference. The first steak was overdone when the request was for medium rare. When the second steak, finally, arrived it was very rare. There was a fleeting apology & an agreement for a full refund. No other reparation was forth coming.

Met up with a few friends for drinks and a bite to eat. Had a lovely time, food was very good and reasonably priced too. Staff were friendly and efficient.

My family and I came here to celebrate a birthday and we had a fantastic night. The food and drinks were great and the staff were so helpful. Will definitely be back!

Food menu has been changed recently and fewer main course options are now available. Portion sizes also reduced and food standards have dropped to an unacceptable level. (Tough, gristly steak, undercooked chips, fatty gammon, scampi 90% breadcrumbs). Bar service has also deteriorated - previously gin and tonics were served with an individual bottle of good quality tonic water. This has now been replaced with tasteless tonic from a pump. I would have given a one star review but increased to two stars on account of the excellent service provided by Jordan who dealt with several problems very efficiently and professionally.

Wow popped in today with a friend for a light lunch and we were both very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. It was delicious! I had salt and pepper chicken with a side of chips and it was the best salt and pepper chicken I have ever had!! And I am one fussy food eater! The chap who brought the food to our table was friendly, polite and professional. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

We booked a table for Sunday lunch having been for a drink and seen the lovely looking food coming out. We weren't disappointed, the gammon and beef rib Sunday lunches were delicious. There was also a good variety of options for our children who don't really like roasts. We will be back.

Booking was easy to organise online via the app. Arrived at 5.30 and shown to our table. I ordered food and drinks for 4 adults. Food arrived in good time. 1x Scampi and chips 1x Hunter's Chicken 2x Rump steaks, unfortunately, both steaks were tough, I had to cut them up in small pieces for my parents, even having done this, it was still tough.

Absolutely the worst pub food I have ever had . Sunday lunch was beef ribs my burger was burnt the chips were disgusting and the whole dining was disgraceful

We were a family party of 18 people celebrating a 90th birthday and were given a section of the pub to decorate tables etc. Pre-ordered our main meals and the staff were excellent.

Meal fine & so I thought at a good price. Sat outside & scanned the table number widget and tried to order on the app. Put in my email address & MP site allowed me to book 4 meals. The Beechtree helper did assist me & confirmed the order had been sorted in the kitchen. It arrived. Nice meal & atmosphere. I have today (one week later) had another transaction from MP for £39.99 off my card. I then got an email from MP saying they have renewed my MP membership. Its a scam! Taken out from Nicosia Cyprus. PLEASE AVOID THIS SCAM.

A speedy 3 course lunch with a beer. Excellent. The toilets were spotless too.

A simple pub food meal wanted, it ticked all the boxes. Pub was large enough to be quiet and private. Service & bar service very good. I would go again.

I’ve been to The Beech Tree several times. The food is always amazing, truly fantastic. Order what you think is like a Caesar Salad and what you get is a salad that will blow your mind! I’m serious, awesome!

Awfully, the pub had a band on,which were good, there was around 200 people in and around the pub. Time to get served at the bar was at leat 30 mins with a line of people stretching into the outside area. While waiting patently to be served at least 10 people walked in and obviously known to the bar staff were served straight away. Maybe the management, obviously new to pub work should have had more staff on. Very poor experience

Arrived at 12 o'clock. Probabpy about 20 other people there, some whom irdered just drinks and some who were also eating. Took 20 mins from ordering to arrive at my table - acceptable as it was a mixed grill; Medium steak was requested, was given a steak that looks like it was cooked for longer than a football match is played. One of the fried eggs had probably been cooked for the same amount time, yet the other one was perfect.....go figure. Gammon, chicken and sausages were edible, but also cooked longer than needed. Appears that the chef was unable to get their timings correct so that everything was ready at the same time. Such a shame as last time I was there, I had gammon and it was spot on. Very disappointing. Chips? also over cooked; not burnt, just cooked longer than needed. On the plus side, the staff are friendly, the atmosphere is great, location is perfect 👌.

Our on-line booking hadn't been recorded when we arrived, which didn't really matter as there were plenty of tables. Neither of our first choice of meals were available. (no sea bass and chicken breast for the Sunday Roast instead of half chicken). We waited 20 minutes for the starter and didn't see the main courses until 45 minutes after we'd arrived. The small chicken breast on the main course was almost inedible - severely burnt underside and very dry, almost rubbery. The roast potatoes were hard. I notified the manger and she wholly accepted my criticism, apologised profusely and offered an alternative meal which I accepted. The manager also refunded me the cost of the chicken meal which was not expected or requested, so she did everything possible to remedy the situation. We like the Beech Tree and have visited quite a few times in the past and had a good experience. This is however the second time we've had to wait an unacceptable time for service and had poor quality food served. I fear we'll be reluctant to return.

A very nice visit slightly spoilt by a group of men sitting at a table near the TV using very bad language. It is a pity that grown men have no idea how to behave in mixed company in an otherwise excellent environment.

Used to be a great local pub this. Now it’s just full of lads openly snorting cocaine on a Friday/Saturday night. No security meaning they’re not even discreet about it.

Went in for drinks & steak night on Thursday, great sirloin steak , reasonably priced, sampled a few of the new cocktails that was advertised, the pornstar martini is still the best one though

Went today for a few drinks in the sunshine, was amazed that we got a table outside, always a great selection of real ales , just wish it had been Thursday because all of them have £1 off !

We haven’t been in for a while but decided to give it another go. The tables outside were full of empty glasses and didn’t look like they’d been collected for a long time, so first impressions weren’t encouraging. Got served fairly quickly by a friendly member of staff but the bar needed a good wipe down. There were empty glasses all over the tables inside too and when they were eventually collected the tables weren’t wiped. Things only improved when a lovely girl with red hair came on shift and started wiping the tables and collecting the glasses. I went to the gents near the bar and it was disgusting, one of the cubicles was out of order, one of the 3 urinals was blocked and there was urine all over the floor, this wasn’t late night it was late afternoon. Does no one check? I had to wash the soles of my shoes when I came home. We’ve been in other Ember Inns but this falls far short of standards at other Ember Inns.

My meal was not great. I had half chicken and salad. The salad was mostly lettuce and very small with no choice of dressing. The chicken was ok. The atmosphere was good.

This place surprised us; a chain pub but the food and service were excellent. We had the mixed grill, sea bass, and chicken pie. All very nice at a decent price. Obviously, it is marked down on atmosphere with kids running around and a very modern setting ... but hey, it's a generic family pub after all.

Beech Tree is our local, and always receive a friendly welcome! Staff and Landlord and Landlady are super, and always make time to have a chat. We took our elderly Mum today for lunch. She thoroughly enjoyed it.

We went in Sunday we had the roast beef which was very nice meat was tender and succulent not dried out will be coming back for definite.

All staff where amazing and very attentive, welcoming warm atmosphere and lovely food

Staff were great. There are never an enough staff. The pub constantly looks like a tip. The 3 staff on can’t serve food drink and clear the tables.

Nice surroundings to have a catch up with friends. Atmosphere is nice and cosy, plenty of seating to choose from. Not too busy or noisy, nice menu, something for everyone. We chose the soup of the day with crusty bread and butter. It was delicious, nice consistency and full of flavour. Staff are friendly, welcoming and efficient. We placed our order and waited for the food to arrive which didn’t take long. We will definitely be back very soon.

The Beech Tree itself is not a bad place to have a drink in but the food is not good. I ordered a lunch time light meal of smashed avocado on toast - it was awful! There was no butter on the bread which made it very dry, the avocado was practically none existent, it was spread so thinly and tasteless. The place was quite busy and I really wish I had sent it back and complained there and then but I had an appointment to go to and needed something in a hurry. I wrapped it up in a napkin and fed it to the birds! I won't be eating there again!!!!!

There were about 110 people in the bar when we arrived. There was only one girl on the bar for the full time we were there which was from 3.45pm - 4.20pm. We were unable to order any food due to the understaffing, so we left and went to the Toby instead where we were dealt with straight away and had a nice meal. When we left there were still 20 people waiting at the bat to be served. RIDICULOUS.

The beach tree is a very popular pub. There is a very wide range of beers, lagers, and cider, including four hand-pulled cask, conditioned real ales. The ones I tried were excellent. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and efficient. The food is very good. They also have some excellent live entertainment. I've seen some great bands here. There are not many food orientated pubs with such a good selection of real ales. Highly recommended

This pub is really nice! There's a good selection of drinks and I loved how it's decorated. There's plenty of entertainment on and staff are friendly. My only criticism is that sometimes it takes a while to get served, but I don't see this as a big problem as I understand it can get busy!

We have eaten here a couple of times and it is always very disappointing. We love the pub itself but they really need to up there game with the food. Did try to get in wheatsheaf but it was fully booked. Says it all really.🙁
