Good value, wide drinks selection. You know what you'll get at a Spoons - not fine dining but not bad either. Quite busy at times, sometimes a wait at the bar (so get the app) and tables could be cleared faster. Looking its age a bit and could do with a refurbishment. However nice place. Good to see that the menu has been updated.

Great place with a real fire, cosy and friendly.

Great character building. The staff are very helpful. We had breakfast, which was lovely and very good value for money.

We were passing so called in and the atmosphere was really good, we decided to eat do we ordered and the food came out very hot on hot plates which is hoe it should be. We were well impressed and told staff. The food is always good in spoons so nothing else to say but we enjoyed it and would come again.

Good breakfast, fast service and more tea/coffee if wanted. What's not to like.

Benjamin Fawcett is a distant relative. That was reason for the visit. But food was particularly good.

Classic spoons you know what you get. Has a good pub quiz on a Tuesday night, £1 per person. We had a long wait for breakfast and some of the food was cold, but they did rectify the mistakes.

Went in for a coffee or two Unlimited refills....yes !!! Plenty of people in even for late morning Only sour moment was being served at bar...met with a "yes...?' The offending young lady needs to go in Thomas the baker up the road for some "improvement " help

Very cheap but the quality isn’t great but with the prices that low you expect it, wasn’t very clean but the drinks were very nice and quickly served

As 'spoons go this one has a nice atmosphere and is well supported by local people across a wide age range. Had the steak which is excellent value even compared to homemade and the chef gets the cooking perfect. Staff are lovely and you can't fault the service.

A very nice Wetherspoons, clean and kept clear a d tidy. Service was very good even though it was busy. Lovely little outside area smoke-free too.

Came here with friends for afternoon drinks Busy bar. Food was poor got a chicken wrap only 2 pieces of very overdone chicken in the wrap. Prices as you'd expect for a spoons

It's your normal whether spoons, the food was good in a relaxed surroundings with friendly staff.

Came on a Tuesday so took advantage of steak night Sirloin ok Chips etc warm not hot Didn’t complain as less than 20 for meal and 3 pints Value for money If paying in average pub would of complained but as Sid before get what you pay for Poppy very good, polite and professional also very attractive lady Lad behind bar not so professional Would visit again to eat

Went in on Tuesday orderd 4 meals 3 were great.Orderd a kids meal for larger appetite s,when it came i couldn't belive the size of the portion it was sausage and mash 2 sausages the mash was the size of a table spoon full.I asked the lady were the rest of the mash was ,she "replied that's the size of the portion" that's all she said and walked off.It didn't help that it came out on a big plate!! There wasn't enough to feed a 3 yrs old,let a lone a 7 yrs old wasnt happy at all.Get your portion sizes right wot a con.

Waited 20 minutes for butter to go with toast , asked a manager who then just walked past me and ignored me twice, how difficult is it to get butter , apparently very difficult.

Yes it’s spoons yes it’s cheap.kitchen all over the place wait on food horrendous some people getting food after 10 minutes others waiting 30min plus and this is when it’s relatively quiet

This is a great spot for a coffee and somthing quick to eat after work(for me usually a cappuccino & Boneless Chicken Basket and Chips!) The Waiting Staff go out of there way to make sure the whole experience is a pleasurable one from ordering and receiving the food to asking you how it was and taking empty plates away promptly. Always Polite Respectable and Smartly Dressed Keep up the Hard Work!

The food is OK but not as nice as it used to be. The prices have gone up for less! Also I found the service to be a bit unfriendly as I had a child in the party and felt I had been told off for us not finishing our meal by 9pm. I didn't know there was a rule on it.

Very nice relaxed place, the best one of the chain out of Scarborough, Hull, and Bridlington. Nice polite friendly service. Will always come bk and especially when I move bk to Driffield. 🙂😀

It's one of the best weatherspoons I have been to and a great atmosphere inside. The food was good, and the service was quick and friendly. Always great deals on during the week.

It's a bit grim to say the least, yes it's a spoons so expections where never high but its dark and gloomy, almost every table was dirty and the menus where sticky. Only one bar person servicing which was causing a back up. Really could do with modernising.

Fast and friendly service with a smile. Use the app from your table for extra convenience, great when your with young children. Very family friendly during the day and a popular bustling venue on an evening. Food is cheap and cheerful but nothing exciting.

Very big menu, lots of choice, quality of food relates to the price. Simple but OK. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Cutlery and glasses could be cleaner. I think after washing they are not dried, that seems to be the case. We went twice in 4 days and will return in the future.

The food came quickly, but the drinks didn't, we had to ask twice before they arrived well after the food, unusual for wetherspoons. The food was very good, though.

My partners favourite place, staff are always so friendly, food is very fast, prices are great! Also has cheap parking nearby (£1.70 for 2 hours, £2.70 for a full day.) lovely place and would recommend for any occasion

Having previously given this venue a good review unfortunately I've edited my review from a few years ago. It used to be cheap and cheerful, but unfortunately prices have risen to a point there are better places to eat and it's far from cheerful. If you want to spend a day in the pub drinking cheap beer and taking advantage of special offers for food a bargain can be had and it may be a good choice. But if you are considering visiting for a bite to eat and want to choose your meal instead of buying on price then you can do far better. Foods adequate, prices are now middling, staff are generally decent, it's often noisy and not very civilised (in fairness it is a wetherspoons), can be busy but you will usually find a table, nothing "wrong" with the place it just all boils down to price, spoons isn't a particularly nice dining experience but when it's cheap it's bearable, a meal for two here now is on a par price wise with the likes of nandos, pizza express or a dozen other chain eateries including most chain pubs. You can do better.

Awful!!!!! Ordered a breakfast cold beans cold snotty egg cold burnt bacon. Cold toast sausage was just warm but hot hash browns....terrible and even the coffee was tasteless

This place can't even get toast right Putting a slice of bread on a gridle or Panini press for a few seconds isn't toasting it can't wetherspoons aford to buy a toaster to make proper toast

A great meal at a good price, we were both quite full after a main and desert with a pint included in the main meal price. Edit: the unlimited hot drinks are a great deal and cheap too, even if you only have one.

Paid a quick visit whilst passing Driffield and was pleased to park so close. Very much a locals pub but everyone was very friendly and seemed to get on.

The bar staff were friendly and we had a small meal which was lovely. We requested our table be cleaned before we ate but this wasn't carried out unfortunately so left us a dirty table for our meal. Also please clean the carpets and loos, otherwise, we do generally like Wetherspoons

Ok its a weatherspoons and its a traditional breakfast but the last few weeks it has been consistently good... its simple meal that was prepared with care and service was friendly efficient and fast. In the mornings it is a calm friendly place to be and the real fire adds to the positive atmosphere....

Good beer, pub grub at a realistic price. A cheap night out.

We had an evening meal here twice over a long weekend. The food was excellent, and the staff were professional in their duties.

The Benjamin fawcett is a really good Wetherspoons. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. There is always a good choice of cask conditioned real ale and other beers and lagers. I always enjoy the burgers. The curry day on a Thursday and steak night are stand out days for me.

Standard Witherspoon's. Been going in a few years now. The long term staff are very friendly 👍

Food was lukewarm and looked like it had been cooked and warmed up bad fly problem around tea station and tables

Me and a friend ordered at the same time and hers came out within 5 minutes which was a shock how they cooked a bbq chicken meal in such a short space of time and mine was brought out when she was finished. I thought the mixed grill was poor quality aswell!

Typical spoons, dirty tables and microwaved food. Clear your own table to sit at. Take some wipes with you.

Went for some lunch wasn't very hot the panini wasn't toasted and the bbq chicken was like warm and chips looked like the day before heated up

If I could give this place less than a star I would. Absolutely shocking. Attitude of the staff is appalling. Apparently they can’t cook chips before 11:30am - even if it’s 11:25 and a child wants an early lunch. Breakfast came and was cold with only one meal being sent to the table. Then waited another 20 mins to receive less on the breakfast that I actually ordered. Awful place, terrible staff. Avoid.

Went here today with 4 friends, had a lovely meal nice and hot, and plenty of food .washed down with a pint of hand pulled Abbott's 🍺. I draw back only 1 working behind the bar and I serving meals. Could maybe do with a couple more staff although the 2 ladies worked very hard. Paul

Pretty dreadful all round. The one member of staff serving appeared to have little or no training on drinks available. The screen for online drink orders suggested people had been waiting over 15 minutes for drinks. I sat at a table for over 30 mins with tables all around attracting flies due to dirty plates etc not being cleared (despite staff who delivered new food returning to the food reheating dept empty handed) Customers were looking in the cupboard underneath condiments that were not stocked up. I understand this chain came off social media years ago as it didn't like the criticism it received.

Nice spoons...always plenty of seats and my grandchildren enjoyed the large booths to sit in

This is a busy and popular pub close to the centre of Driffield. Visited today at lunchtime and the pub was busy with lots of full tables inside and other people taking in the sunshine in the outside seating area at the front of the pub. Staff were pleasant and polite. I didn’t have a meal today but the meals ordered by my friends were a good size and looked and smelled delicious. The menu was varied so lots of choice whether you are looking for a snack or a full meal. The only downside for me was that the toilet facilities were upstairs, accessed by a lovely sweeping staircase. If you like good portions, pub grub at a reasonable price, this would be a good choice.

Food is either cold or overcooked. The last time I ate there the chicken was so hard I couldn't cut it. When I complained, I was given another meal.

Called in for a bit of lunch, it was quite busy but the ordered food came very quickly. Ordered beef tennessee burger meal and the buttermilk chicken tennessee meal. Both were excellent, very hot, and lots on the plate. The chicken was moist with a lovely crisp crumb and the beef was very 'meaty'. Service good and price also very reasonable.

Great local pub with a lovely and lively atmosphere. Great selection of drinks and friendly service (nice courtyard too). Usually entertainment and bands at weekends so well worth checking out!

Absolutely abysmal bar service, waiting over 15 minutes for drinks bought via the app, drinks arrived poorly poured, only one member of staff behind the bar while the others play hide and seek, I can honestly say this is the worst Spoon's I've ever visited for speed and quality of service...
