Went to Bluebell today for a celebration of a family members passing. The buffet was absolutely lovely, well presented and lots of it! Sandwiches were delicious, plenty of variety, as was the sausage rolls, pizza, pork pie, dips ect., The owners are so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend! Thank you Bluebell. Will be back to try the steak pie and Sunday roast.

Really nice, huge Sunday dinners, chicken and pork and lovely pudding. Very quick and lovely staff, made our weekend away. Spare pork taken for dogs too xxxx

Lovely lunch on a Sunday afternoon no complaints with my burger my partner wasn't as happy with a sandwich with her complaints that the chicken was very dry and that the plate was small and hard to eat off. Personally I would be happy to return again

Went to Blue Bell for an evening meal. Saw that a quiz was on too. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I myself had the Dirty Cow burger and my partner had the ‘I’ve got you Babe’ burger. Great tasting food at great prices and the service from the lovely team was excellent. Will certainly be returning, next time with a booking.

Went in on Tuesday to watch the England game with my 7 year old granddaughter. Had a great burger good value and the beer only £2.70 a pint .we sat in the beer garden to watch the match no trouble just high spirits. Will definitely return for the match on Sunday.

Very disappointed with blue bell! Arranged my dads birthday meal here last week, pre ordered the food and still took over an hour to come through! Worst thing of it all the minute my 19 month old daughter had finished her tea I was made to give up the high chair for someone else so I had her on my knee for the rest of the meal!! Have told people to stay clear especially if they have children! Wouldn’t mind we were large party so the takings for our table must have been a few hundred pounds but wasn’t allowed to keep a high chair that I had pre booked months before!! Get more high chairs!!!

Chicken was very stringy when ask what meal was like I did comment but I did say I didn't want a replacement staff very friendly

Went to grandson and partner gender reveal. Garden and room where beautifully decorated and the food and service was very good and enjoyable time had by all. Big thank you for the staff and management for being so helpful.

Went in for Sunday dinner place was nicely set out .but that was as good as it got .waited over a hour for food to arrive, which was uneatable couldn't cut vegetables rock hard .gravy was like cement tipped dish upside down didn't even come out of dish .chicken was tough as old boots .overall it was a disgrace. Told the waiter was told nothing he could do as they a new chef .paid just short of £50 for one bottle of wine and two uneaten dinners .

I attended the Blue Bell for a meal. We waited nearly an hour for it to be served and when it did the food was terrible the vegetables you couldn't cut them, the gravy was thicker than wallpaper paste,the meat was fatty. We did complain but the staff didn't seem to be interested. Other customers complained as well. It was our first visit and certainly my last wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Richard, Sam and Harvey hosted a family function for us. They provided a lovely buffet spread, catering for dietary needs too, and worked hard to ensure the event went smoothly. Very easy to work with and so helpful throughout. Thank you all for helping make Mums day go so well.

Just been for lunch with my partner and two adult children. Had the 2 for 1 burger menu and it was not only tasty but great value as well. Took about half an hour for food to arrive but it was was freshly cooked and really tasty. The only reason we didn't give 5/5 is that there was not enough salad to go with the burger - otherwise all was really good.

Great atmosphere and service. Its been some time since I have visited the Blue Bell as I dont live in the area any longer. Called in with friends and had a great night. The place has certainly come on leaps and bounds, The Blue Bell has raised the bar (no pun intended) and is well worth a visit. Good selection of wines and beers, cosy bar area, very friendly staff.

We went to Blue Bell for a meal and some drinks. What a lovely experience! The waitress Alisha was brilliant, the food came quickly and really exceeded expectations. There was a good range of draught choices, spirits etc. The bar man Alex was friendly and chatty too. The pub Manager Harvey was spot on too, which is always great to see at a pub! The Bluebell in Cottingham is an excellent traditional village pub. It has a deservedly excellent reputation for its meals. There is a very good choice of traditional homemade food. The game pie is deservedly very popular. There is an excellent choice of beers lager and cider, including three cask conditioned hand-pulled real ales. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. It's a nice cosy pub highly recommended.

We went here for dinner last Friday. Staff were very polite and attentive. Good choices on menu and most importantly food was delicious. Nice decor too. What was a real shame is that the place was empty at prime time on a Friday evening. The waiter explained that they had only recently took over so many people weren’t aware they had a restaurant. I really hope people catch on soon as we had a great meal and would definitely go back. Give them a try people!

Traditional pub with modern decor. Parking is available on the road nearby. Well planned seating and full table service. Sunday lunch choices were good and all food was delicious and hot. Waiting staff were very attentive and friendly. Advisable to book and definitely worth a visit.

Our first visit since the Woolpack took over the pub. We were greeted warmly by very friendly staff and looked after all evening. My husband chose the shin & smoked bacon pie & I opted for sausage & mash (with a side of mushy peas). Both dishes arrived hot & plentiful. Just the job for a chilly evening. We are looking forward to our next visit & would recommend to anyone.

We went for a Sunday roast. I’ve struggled to find places that are up to scratch in terms of getting a good roast. This place was spot on. I had the beef and it was cooked perfectly, a lovely medium rare cut of topside. The chicken and pork was also very good!

Heard BlueBell was under new management, called in for Sunday lunch. Wasn’t disappointed! The place felt really easy going, staff and new management are really nice. Ordered two Sunday lunches and drinks, excellent portions, food was great along with service. Will definitely return!

Popped in Saturday afternoon for a drink as we heard it was under new management. It has a miles better feel already. Potential to return to its former glory when Andy had it.

I called in on a Wednesday night at 7:20 p.m., hoping to get some food. Apparently, that's too late. Won't be going back. Poor effort!

We visited on a Thursday night without a booking but there was just room for two. They had a Steak night offer for two steaks with all the trimmings you would expect, including a bottle of wine, for £35. It was outstanding. We asked for a rare steak and it was cooked to perfection. There was a choice of two wines, the Shiraz was a perfect accompaniment. It wasn't our first visit and it certainly won't be our last.

Miserable landlord, no customer skills, treats people like idiots, wrong person to run a local pub, do not take your children as would be asked to leave

We went in for a drink and asked for some desserts was made to feel very unwelcome and when we closed one curtain from the glare from the sun a rude man said to open it as the curtains are just for show turned out he was the landlord very disappointing and disrespectful we won’t be back

First time to this pub,and me being a coeliac often have problems with what food to have,so I was most surprised to find gluten free battered fish on the menu,so opted for that,the fish was divine and the batter paper thin and crispy the best I’d ever tasted,to be honest the whole of our meal was beautiful and the owner was very polite and happy to help nothing to much trouble,lovely place so we highly recommend eating here and will be returning again.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

A perfect steak meal for myself and partner. Well presented and delicious. Lovely apple crumble too. The landlord went out of his way to make sure that all diners had they wanted. Can’t believe I’ve not been here before as it’s round the corner from me. I went for Sunday lunch and it was one of the best I’ve had. I’ve now been 3 times in the last 5 weeks. I’ve had their steak and tried the fillet and rump. I can honestly say they’re the best I’ve had. Cooked to your liking and rested well. I’ll be going again and would highly recommend. 👍

Highly recommended - food, service, value & setting excellent.

I used to adore this restaurant, but it wasn't quite as fabulous as it used to be when I dined there the other night. They have a new menu, and perhaps I chose poorly, but the magic was missing. Having said that, the owners are still as lovely and kind as always, and the desserts... omg... the desserts were to die for!

My favourite pub in Cottingham.

We took our elderly mother out for lunch, and from start to finish the staff were so helpful, from getting a ramp for the wheelchair to sitting us near to the access for the disabled toilet, so she didn't have to go far! The food was delicious and came within a reasonable time for homemade food, plus the staff gave you time between courses too! Very pleasant experience would recommend.
