Very good Sunday lunch. Only quibble plate should be bigger so all the food fitted on. This is the case in a lot of places.

Boys had the 16oz steak with all the trimmings and I had the sweet chilli salmon. Delicious meals.

Lovely homemade food which is hard to find in a lot of places. Great selection of your pub classics and then a specials board. We opted for the jumbo haddock x2 which certainly was a very good sized portion, homemade chips and mushys. Delicious and so was the roast belly pork with mash and veg. Again a lovely portion size but also Delicious. We didn't book and turned up around 7 on a Friday and chose a empty table. Food served all week till 8.30 and 7 on a Sunday. We will be returning to try the steak pie and the specials and Sunday roast. Lovely friendly staff too. Thankyou Molescroft Inn.

Lovely warm place very welcoming staff cant do enough for and the food was delicious .

Came in tonight and had the fish and chips special. It was massive and delicious - a special thanks to the male server who brought me a couple of napkins so that I could take some of the fish home for our very poorly little cat who hadn't eaten in three days. Put the fish down for her when we got in and she polished the lot off.

Great pub, superb Sunday dinner cooked to a tee, Would recommend.

Lovely haddock and chips, but think the chips may have been kept warm too long as they were very soggy outsides. Peas were a weird shade of green, perhaps canned?

It's a bit dark and dull needs Brighton up a lot .

My friend and I had to attend a presentation evening at a nearby school, so popped here on the way. Have to say the food was absolutely lovely. At 5pm it was almost full so that speaks for itself. For 11.95 we both had sweet chilli chicken sizzlers with half and half. It came with a lovely fresh salad. Great value and really tasty. Staff were lovely and friendly too. Wish I lived a bit closer ans would be there more often. Will definitely be recommending to others. Thank you.

Called at late lunchtime and busy with lots of tables reserved. Food was good and staff excellent. Will definitely call again.

Food was okay but portion size could be bigger for the price! Not good value for money at all! Much better places in Beverley to eat! Cold atmosphere not welcoming, The young girl on shift was lovely but the man behind the bar wasn't attentive! Also don’t cater for disability needs, I.e Wheelchair users which in 2024 is disgusting! Overall cold and unwelcoming atmosphere and service! ( Apart from the young girl) Won’t be returning any time soon

Sunday roast beef lunch. It was a nice pleasant meal, but to be harsh, I have had better elsewhere... and worse elsewhere! If anything, it was slightly cooler than it should have been and the beef was the thin pre sliced beef. Veg's fresh and a nice yorky pud. The beef was nice, But to achieve 5* for me I do prefer it off the joint! June 2024. Ok so my last review was a couple of years ago but on impulse we dropped by. 1145, on a very nice Saturday lunchtime we expected to struggle to find a seat outside because we had our dog and dogs are not permitted inside. Noone outside. Several tables available. We ordered hot sandwiches at the bar and there was noone inside. Very quiet? To be fair the food was very nice. Bacon 🥓 and brie, a tuna melt and a cheese and onion ciabattas with chips and salad! A couple of "Shipyard" pale ales for me, wine's and coke's as we had one of our granddaughters and daughter with us saw a £43 bill but we thoroughly enjoyed the occasion. 👍

I had a great afternoon at the Molescroft Inn! The staff are very lovely, note-ably Charlie was very friendly and ensuring that everything was provided that was needed. I would definitely recommend this pub to anyone who is in the area

Really likeing the turn around, last time we visited i was so dissappointed in the whole experience from staff to food. Tonight a friend had booked a table for us. Staff very attentive and friendly,nothing was to much trouble. The food was beautiful and plentiful. Would certainly reccommend to others. Keep up the good work guys.

Only 1 staff member serving and a queue building up. Didn't have food although menu looks a bit uninspiring.

My first and last visit. First impressions from the outside were not overly favourable, rather tatty appearance but an acquaintance had recommended the Inn, so having seen pictures of the specials board on the website, we continued and had a meal. The inside was gloomy and dingy, the table didn’t appear to have been cleaned and reset. In my many years of going out for meals, I have never seen two meals which looked less like what I had ordered. Tasting them did not improve matters. An awful waste of £40.

Was OK but food was only lukewarm which was a same no one asked if we had enjoyed our meal

Lovely pub with friendly atmosphere and friendly staff. However the small portion size of the lambs liver and beef stroganoff could be improved with a portion of vegetables.

We only went for drinks but were told our dog was not allowed inside, so we put it in the car and left after one drink. Not the greatest of welcomes unfortunately, so will be unlikely to return in a hurry. A decent pub to be fair, but a ‘no dogs’ policy does nothing for its reputation. Sadly.

Met with friends for a drink, very friendly and busy, the food looked good.

Arranged to meet some friends here who come here regularly. I can see why! We all ordered different mains, but all went for the same starter after a well informed recommendation. Trust me on this: the Black Pudding Scotch Egg is just gorgeous! Not something I'd have chosen if it wasn't recommended, but if have missed out. Seriously, I will be back, and I will be having the scotch egg to start! Oh, and all the main courses were good too. 🤣😎 Try it, you'll not be disappointed. 🙏🏻

Went for Sunday lunch. Nice place with nice staff. I had the lamb roast dinner, my mum had beef. Quite disappointing to be honest. The shavings of meat tasted and looked like it had come from a supermarket deli counter. The veg to be shared by the pair of us was meagre to say the least. At £15 for the lamb, it should have been much better. The two others in our group had Fish & Chips. Good sized fish but just a small handful of burnt chips let it down. On the whole, it was a let down and a shame because its a nice pub and the service was efficient and friendly. Won't be rushing back.

The molescroft Inn is a lovely cosy pub. There is a good selection of beers and lagers including three hand pulled cask conditioned real ales. It's a nice cozy pub that serves excellent meals lunchtime, and evening. There is a outside seating area behind the pub and a large car park. I only called in for a drink the beer was excellent, we will definitely call in for a meal.

Excellent service always asking if food was ok Food really nice big portions and really nice and more importantly Hot Went Sunday afternoon was busy and a nice atmosphere had Sunday lunch very nice and starter was a good size as well Finished with a large cappuccino

When we rang we were a bit disappointed when told the pub wasn’t dog friendly inside but we were offered an outside table. Unfortunately there were heaps of old cigarette ends around which is a danger to canine friends so we tidied up underneath the outside table and settled down for our meal, watching a rather angry sky after a very hot day. Midway through a huge thunderstorm erupted and I dashed inside to ask if we could be allowed in with the dog. We were reluctantly given permission and to be fair a really helpful barman came and helped us move inside even telling us to stay inside while he brought our food in - very kind. The pub was almost empty so our little dog settled under the table and we finished a very nice (if somewhat cooler by now) meal, steak, pork in mustard and chicken, bacon and Stilton salad. We don’t usually have a dessert but as we were all soaked and felt like treating ourselves we opted for lemon cheesecake and a delicious steamed pudding followed by nice hot coffee. Our lovely barman was a star and we were so grateful to be inside while we watched the thunder and lightening “show”. To sum up, the food was nice, the staff helpful but the outside area could do with a bit of attention, perhaps a few large pot plants to make you feel like you aren’t almost sitting in the car park and regular sweeping and emptying of ashtrays too.

As much as I love this pub and have visited it for years, my steak tonight was absolutely terrible. I ask for it medium well but it came burnt and like a piece of leather so much, so I told the staff and gave to the dogs. So poor I’m afraid from a pub that is normally brilliant!!! Mine was not the only one as both my wife’s and sons were the same but not quite as burnt!!! I’m not sure how a chef can send out steak ( on a streak night) like that….. The pubs decor has been dated for years now but its food quality was the reason it remained worthy of going. After tonight’s food, I won’t be returning in a hurry I’m afraid I have never left a review on trip advisor which shows my disappointment at tonight’s meal……

Booked a table BH Monday and was not disappointed. The steak pie was homemade and oozing with beef.. not a bit of fat or gristle and masses of lovely gravy! Real homemade chips and fresh veg, my mouth is watering at the thought of it . This will be our new go to for comfort food, most enjoyable at a very reasonable price. Well done

Lovely food brought to our table piping hot, staff were prompt and friendly and there was a good atmosphere, will definitely be back again.

Went for the steak night, 16oz rump with all the trimmings £12 excellent, fully enjoyed the serving, staff were excellent too, not dog friendly inside but ok outside in a small fenced paved area.

Food very mediocre. 4 of us and we all thought the same. Went again with a friend just for drinks and coffee. Not supposed to close until 10pm but wouldn't serve us coffee at 9.25pm as they had turned off the coffee machine. Staff not very friendly, they seem uninterested and that the customer is an inconvenience.

I have travelled down from Newcastle today to see family and came here for lunch there were 6 of us, we all had the Sunday dinners, apart from one who had the curry. All the food was spot on my Sunday dinner was amazing so tasty would definitely would come again when next in Beverly.

visited for dinner with the family. dad remembered it from the 70's. said it hasn't changed much! that seems to be the theme. only had one hand pulled on which was a shame. food was really good, service was good. pubs are closing at an alarming rate. prob not worth spending what it would cost to improve. mite as well stick with tradition!

First time visiting very nice , good food

Popped in on the off chance at 12.30 last Sunday. My husband had lamb Sunday lunch and I had fresh crab salad. Both meals were lovely.

Food was amazing. Great portion sizes for price. Very quick service. Looking forward to coming back

18th Cent large roadside pub on the outskirts of Beverly. Good rear car park and small beer garden. Comfy table seating and plenty of menu deals during week, we enjoyed two Ham, Egg, chips for £14.95.Two real ales, Banks's Amber, Ringwood Boondoggle, in good form and friendly service.

I don't know what has happened, been for a few meals here over time and have totally recommended each time beautiful good portions and staff attentive. Unfortunatley the past three times the food has left alot to be desired, goodness knows why the chips have become a soggy chewy burnt mess, steaks and burgers over cooked, vegetables hard, as you walk up you can smell the fat cooking old dirty smell, upon telling staff they are not interested. Last night staff stood around 8.30ish obviously wanting us to recognise they wanted to pack up. Its a shame WAS a beautiful traditional good food pub. We wont be returning anytime soon.

Didn't stay for food we were put off by the dingy surroundings could do with an update and deep clean.

Ate here tonight on the Saturday special. Staters were very nice, black pudding scotch egg & bacon, Stilton mushrooms (although only 1 mushroom) Mains honey glazed pork with( i requested new pots).. pork over cooked & chewy..veg VERY undercooked! Other main was mix grill..EVERY element of this meal was overcooked and inedible. Returned the meal to the staff, the issue was addressed and deducted by the staff, however the manner of said staff was quite aggressive, however we hadn’t eaten! When a pub has a set specials the “chefs” should be able to perfect these meals…this was clearly not the case. We have eaten here many times and had good service & meals. Not sure if /when we will return. Not the best by a long way Molescroft!

Intended to eat but having had a drink and looked around at the dark and dingy environment changed our minds. The other thing that was inappropriate was the state of the extractor fan from kitchens you cant avoid seeing as you walk past was disgusting.

Went for the first time and wasn't disappointed the food was lovely and served piping hot will go again on a stake night . To add to this review I went to celebrate my daughters birthday a table of eight . Service was poor not knowing what they had on the menu. We ordered food that came out looked good but the steak was over cooked and the dressed crab was not fresh at all have eaten fresh crab two days before so on payment I told the member of staff but she didn't look bothered. And not very good for vegetarians and vegans.

Great friendly pub just out of Beverley. Food was delicious and cooked to perfection! We were lucky to go on the Special Tuesday steak night....don't know how they do it for the money!! Loads of great meal deals on. Would certainly return! 😊

Stopped over last Tuesday. Luckily for us it was their great value steak night!! Fabulous meal, cooked to perfection and plenty of it, all washed down with cracking pint of real ale!! Lovely landlady and great friendly feel to the pub, so much so, that we called back later in the evening for a night cap. Will certainly return. 😊

Great food, excellent meals, service & charges. Need to book a table due to popularity at busy times, Sunday lunch etc. Good selection of beers, lagers & wines.

Myself and my daughter visited on Saturday evening 8/4/23 we was served by a very pleasant chap unfortunately didn't get his name but he did have a cracking beard 👌👌 Food came it was lovely the veg was outstanding I'll definitely be visiting again

Booked a family table some of the family have traveled 3 hrs to have a lunch together we were put on 3 separate tables not happy as it was pre booked and the staff didn’t seem bothered .

It was ok,a little expensive compared to similar places. Pleasent and helpful staff

Popped in for a quick lunch. Opted for the 2 for £14.00 menu, so £7 each. I had the pie, it was lovely. My friend had scampi. Portion sizes were adequate for a lunchtime. Service was fine. I never saw any sandwiches on menu which was a shame for a lunchtime.

An excellent meal for 6 adults, a child and 2 toddlers. We all enjoyed it. They were very flexible with our order as some of us wanted to deviate from the menu. Also we rang an hour before our booked time and asked if we could come earlier and they were ready for us. We'll be back.

Disappointed after phoning to see if it was dog friendly and was told yes but when we got there we were told 'No dogs' so we went and found another great dog friendly pub a couple of mile down the road so up yours 'Molescroft.

Rang to ask if dog friendly & told it was but on arrival was told that in fact they weren’t.. disappointing because the pub did look a nice cosy place 😕

Excellent pub grub at great prices, at a traditional English pub, keep your jacket on though was a touch cold to start with.

We arrived 5 minutes before time for our reservation but had to wait while they moved people to get our table of 8 together. Not a real problem. We ordered our meals and just chatted while they arrived. All seemed OK except, one meal was missing 2 fried eggs. They apologised but only brought 1. Upon inspection of the fried egg the white was still raw! The 2nd egg they brough was not much better. 2 of us had mixed grills (£17+) the meat was ok, the steak was cooked just right but both of us left our onion rings they just tasted of the oil they where cooked in or soaked in. We have eaten here over many years and never had such a poor meal. We did wait for someone to come and talk to us but no one bothered and this is why I have penned this review. Sorry, but if you know of a complaint but don't even have the courtesy to come and talk then this is what happens.

Food fantastic what a stunning place

Havent been for years but had some friends over Sunday so thought would try- rang to see if they could fit 4 of us in and explained we had a dog - yes no problem- so we walked from town centre - maybe a mile plus, only to be turned away by the same girl i spoke to on the phone half an hour earlier! She claimed she never heard me ask about the dog - I have no problem with the policy and the food may well be good but let down by poor staff/communication We had then to walk back into town in rain and hungry….
