Excellent quality and portion sizes. We have been coming to this chippy for years on our way to York and have tried many. If you like perfectly fried haddock in the best crispy batter and crispy chips on the outside, but fluffy on the inside, we would highly recommend. Perfect. The Best Thankyou.

Grey/blonde haired women very rude. Visited a few times and every time she is so rude. Asked to put my own salt and vinegar on and slammed them on the counter! Really did not want me to do it. Zero customer service skills! Definitely in the wrong job serving the public!

Good old fashioned chippy with excellent fish and chips and the fish fritters are always good.

First time I've tried Haddock, and it's was sweet as a nut lovely nice chips proper mushy pays and good gravey , top of the range .

Stewarts is a good fish and chip shop and the staff are very friendly. The food had just come out of the fryer when we arrived. They don't sell patties, I think, were too far from Hull for that. They do sell spam fritters and fish fritters. We decided to have fish fritters, which were very nice with chips. Chips have got very expensive lately, but they were very nice well cooked and a good large portion.

Best chippy for miles. busy. Opened at 4 pm this Saturday. Queueing from 3:45. All sorts on offer but we only want fish, chips and curry. Next time we'll order fewer chips.

Our go to for chips. I'm not a fish fan unfortunately, but I'm always here for the chips. Place is usually busy, but the queue moves quick. The gravy is honestly some of the best I've ever had. Perfect if you like a rich dark beef gravy.

Very nice food but not many parking spaces

Every time I pass this place , I go in it to get fish and chips because it's one of the best. And they make fresh in front of u and the size of the food is very good. and I been they 3 time and all the 3 time I never got despondent and actually I been the 4 time but they wasn't open that time and I got gutted.

Lovely food here I never to keen on fried food but this chippy is amazing when I finish work late and I don't feel like cooking I always get the sausage and chips and have always been amazing and full of flavour!

Probably the worst fish and chips i have had. The woman who served me looked as tho i was inconveniencing her when i wanted to add to my order. The place looked like it needed a facelift and was abit drab inside. When we got the food home you could tell the oil had not been changed in a while, the peas were bad and pots were small. Dont waste your time !

Delicious freshly cooked fish, chips and mushy peas. Food stayed piping hot for our short drive to Pocklington Canal Head where we ate them. We will certainly return.

First time visiting the area, went in on Thursday evening. Looks like a really nice fish and chip shop from outside so decided to go in. It was the driest fish I've ever actually had, maybe I was unlucky. Also I paid £3 for a portion of chips that was small and they seemed to be refried...or at least they were overdone. Not good sadly.

They don't offer a 'lunch time' special BUT they didn't offer the OAP special instead.

So I bought sausage chips and peas for my son, and I had gravey and chips, and a coyple of cans and it came to 12:80 utterly insane couple that with the miserable staff it wasn't a good experience.

Great fish and chips with friendly service. There are is quite a variety of food on offer. If you enter and want something other than sausage or fish, it is useful to tell them straight away, before you order so that they can cook it for you. All their fish is skinless and boneless. I have always foubd it suculent and juciy. I really like their mushy peas and curry sauce to complement my meal. All the food has always been piping hot and well wrapped. Takeout cardboard boxes are available if you wish to eat in the go. The staff are friendly and polite. I would recommend.

Staff very rude unhelpful no drinks for children only fizzy pop or flavoured water nearly forgot items of food Food dumped on counter asked for a bag as they didn't offer and expected us to carry food will never use again when eating the food it was luke warm not hot from when we entered the chip ship it was a very unpleasant experience Was going to sit in as it states on the window seating area but got told we couldn't sit in

Great fish and chips, good selection of add ons if you want them, gravy, curry sauce etc, very polite service, and if you have far to travel ask for extra wrapping to keep your orders warm as possible, it's not a problem for them. This shop is my first port of call from now on.👍

We have been getting fish and chips here since we moved to Pocklington but last Saturday, 10th Sept, was the best ever! Crispy batter, crispy (not crisp) moist chips - just awesome.

The food is pretty average, it is what it is.. But the staff ! Its as if they are doing you a favor by serving you, they are so ignorant & rude. Never again will i step foot in that place or give them my hard earned money !

OK. Stuart of Driffield in malton is Brilliant so I thought I'd try the one in pocklington while passing through. Worst chips ever. There was actually no potatoe in the chips . I mean how do you even do that. How do you make chips with no potato in them. I can't even describe it. I was totally devastated. Worst chippy ever.

Ordered fish, chips & batter bits wrapped up with salt n vinegar. The lady serving was more interested chatting to the queue than serving. she forgot to include the fish with my order but charged me for it!! and put no salt & Vinegar on. I took it back & she offered no apology and has a very rude attitude, I won't be going back thats for sure .

Stopped here three years ago and wasn’t excited. But today - wow. The fish was fried to perfection. And I can’t believe the Chips. They are the best ever for a fish shop. Not dripping with grease like others. They have a crisp texture. We will be stopping in again soon. Keep up the good work.

One door opens when another closes. IMHO - Railway St Chippy was the best in town but then they sold out and the new owner hasn't got a clue about Yorkshire fish and chips - soggy batter, vegetable oil bla bla. Step in Stuart's - always #2 in town by a mile but for some reason, they seem to have stepped up their game. Lovely Yorkshire Fish & Chips at their finest. Thanks for saving the Town Guys 😊

Exceptional. They cook the fish and chips in separate fryers which makes all the difference for those that just want chips and don't like fish I'll be back to this chippy. Outstanding fish and chips and service!

Was driving through Pocklington and thought we’d give this place a go. Great welcome, really friendly staff. Fish was cooked to order but didnt feel like we were waiting. Great quality, could not fault.

Take away only, parking outside, a short wait with a small queue. Excellent friendly service and well worth the wait for excellent freshly cooked to order fish and chips. Could not be faulted.

Best in Pocklington in my opinion. Spam fritters are great as us the fish. Chips are really good with an old fashioned feel and taste, highly recommended!

This is not the first time we have had fish and chips from Pocklington but it could be the last. We opened them up to be disappointed by the fish which smelt strongly of ammonia and the colour confirmed it was off. The chips had been kept warm far too long and the whole package was put in the bin. No wonder there was no queue when we arrived !

Service always served with a smile, great tasting food and easy to park outside. fish always tastes fresh

Had fish and chips. Batter very thick and undercooked where it met the fish. Also left an unpleasant aroma on your clothes etc. Been to Stuart’s in Driffield on several occasions and they have been fine.

Best fish and chips we have had in a long time! Good sized portions, fish lovely and freshly cooked for us, chips were dry and not greasy. Lovely!!

Visited on Wednesday on a half term holiday. The fish and chips were fine and portions were really generous, however the service was poor. The person serving was very abrupt, borderline rude.

Well cooked fish and chips - no soggy batter. We ordered small portions and they were a good size (even after a 50 mile bike ride!).

Fabulous fish and chips! We saw the long queue for takeaway outside the shop but noticed there was plenty of seating in the dining area so decided to go in. Staff were very pleasant and all following the Covid procedures. There’s a varied menu with other choices apart from fish. We chose Regular cod and chips and it was great. Large fish and plenty of chips. All cooked perfectly. Crisp batter not too thick, not greasy. There is an option for Jumbo fish and that must be enormous! Will definitely eat here next time we’re in Driffield.

After four months without having a chippy I was not let down with my midday takeaway meal today. Definitely worth it and I would recommend to others.

The first time we had f & c’s it was perfect. Tasty fish and a decent portion of chips. Unfortunately the second time was a disappointment, 75% batter and 25% fish. The chips were done way to long also. Consistency is key.

Over the past few weeks I have been ordering and collecting many takeout dinners for my staff. Food has been great, pieces of fish were large and tasty. Food was ready on time for collecting and staff were really friendly and helpful. Nothing wrong in over 40 meals. Collected on several different days

Visited Pocklington to pick up a motocross bike. Having read Google reviews, we were looking for Station Road Fishery and came across this place. Not the cheapest fishery we have visited, but very generous proportions of well cooked fish and chips. Very friendly service too. Recommended.

Chips were very good but the battered sausage was probably refried from the previous night. Very dry and batter over done.

Not as good as it was. The fish batter was overdone and the fish smaller. Also pricey gone up 10p last week.

I have lived in the area for 20+ years and have always come to this chippy. Honestly don't no why this place is so low down on trip advisor and the other chippy so high should be the other way around in my opinion.

I go here every couple of weeks for the lovely fish and chips. It's not the best in the world but its always pretty good. Good size portions. Chips are always good too. Recommended!

Reasonably priced and the fish cooked to order. The portion of chips was very good. They do other items such as battered or non battered sausages and others items. They also do the typical condiments such a Mushy Peas and curry sauce. Very good

Honestly can’t beleive that this place hasn’t got more reviews like the other chippy in the village. We ordered several items, cod, haddock, Pattie, fish rissoles and chips. All was delicious and very reasonably priced. Would not hesitate to go back, thank you!

We stooped here in Pocklington on our way home after a day out,we had two portions of Cod and chips,and a portion of chicken nuggets and chips with three cans of drink for under £20.00.The portions were of a good size and the fish was nice and flakey,however the batter was over done and dry and to crispy.

Last time I visited it was better than tonight. Chips were OK but the sausages were overcooked.
