Very nice overall except for the batter on fish far to thick, undercooked and sloppy on the inside. Chips excellent as was the mushy peas. If they get the batter right it would certainly be one of the best chippies going.

Don’t know where to start but won’t be going again. I was drinking Diet Coke I thought, but after checking my sugars found I wasn’t. On the next round I watched after ordering and yes the lady was pouring me full fat coke. When I mentioned it to her she changed to diet mid way as if it was ok. I’m diabetic and no it’s not ok. The landlady also is very rude and what was a great pub when I was younger. Is far from this now.

Went to ask for table to be met by a shark smile and flared nostrils. Some confusion about if she would deign to give us a table. A sneery patronising snarl asked if we had reserved. We had not so we were asked if we would like to go upstairs. I am disabled but agreed I would get upstairs as the menu looked lovely and the coffee smelled delicious. Snarly face then said , 'well you will be waiting over half an hour if you do'. We left - a shame. Do the owners know they are losing business?.

Its a real shame because on the outside it looks ok..ish I used to use it quite regular whilst out riding in the summer months My last visit i was absolutely shocked.. the inside of the only pub in the village has been turned into a filthy hovel and looks like its not seen a tin of polish or a spray anti bac in years.. the land lady is an absolute slob i found out later is called Dawn she has a bad attitude with ZERO customer serviceor manners for that matter... ice with coke was too much effort bare in mind its 30°. 1 drink was enough to hunt out trip adviser to leave this review. If I could leave no stars I would based on my experience

A lovely welcome from friendly and efficient wait staff. The food was tasty and plentiful - I had beetroot vegan burger and loved the cauliflower wings which came with it. I had a a very nice glass of Pinot Grigio which was on the pricey side, but delicious. I really liked the restaurant decor too!

Went to The Old Horns Inn for lunch after a very pleasant walk around Damflask reservoir. Beautiful location with stunning views from the garden. Plenty of tables both inside and out. Chose from the lunch menu. Great value at £9 per person. Table service by very friendly and efficient staff who also ensured the 4 legged friends were happy. I do suggest you book a table, the place was really busy for a midweek lunch-time.

Held a private function here for a large group. The staff were amazing. So accommodating. The manager was very helpful checking we had everything we needed. We had a buffet served...so much food and everyone commented on how great it was. The lady in the kitchen is also a Baker and made our cup cakes....absolutely beautiful!! Thank you so much for helping us celebrate and hope we weren't too messy or loud.

Absolutely dreadful, don’t bother going! Really poor service from rude staff who really couldn’t care less. Long wait to order drinks, further long wait to order food and then very long wait for food to arrive. Had the roast dinner - stringy, tasteless meat and frozen veg 🤮. Topped off with over charged on bill for the second visit. Check your bill carefully if you go!

We brought Dad here to celebrate his 87th birthday today and I can't praise them highly enough. Food was plentiful in choice and all absolutely delicious, service (I think she was called Eva?) was outstanding. We were all taken aback when she appeared with a birthday candle in his crème brulee dessert, such a beautiful gesture! Dad is famously "challenging" to please when eating out 😉, but he said as we drove away that it was one of the best family meals out he can ever remember. Mission accomplished ❤️
