Brilliant eating pub!, food as good as ever & in a sunny summer day you'll be hard pushed to find a better beer garden view!.

Would have been 5 stars all way , steak on mixed grill was tough , other than that fantastic 😊

Visited last Sunday. Put order in for 2 Sunday lunches and 2 meals off the menu . We waited for our tickets for the carvery and waited. Asked the chef if we could get our carvery but was told we would have to wait as there were other tables before us . We were seated next to the carvery but nobody came for there meal . Eventually the chef said we could get our meal . It was nice but may be a while before we go again . Waited a long time for drinks

Hands down the tastiest burger I've ever eaten.... rest of the food we've tried has been delicious. Staff really friendly and helpful too.

Lovely pub, unfortunately the Guinness was not very good and the food was very overpriced for the quality. The steak was very dry and tough and the steak pie, priced £20! had very little meat in it, certainly not worth the price.

Called in with friends for lunch after reserving a table . Staff were friendly and welcoming and the pub itself had a cosy relaxed atmosphere. I ordered the steak & ale pie with mashed potatoes and peas. The wife had hunters chicken with chips. Dessert was Bakewell Tart and cream and a coffee to finish. Both meals were delicious and good value, needless to say we’ll be returning again in the near future. The views from the outside area are spectacular so definitely worth a visit. Good old traditional pub serving great food.

Such a lovely place to pop in to, especially after seeing the alignment of the planets. Great service and the food was delicious.

Lovely place , it was quite busy , and we were seated upstairs, which was still very nice . 4 adults, (5) meals , and 2 children who had the kids meals , 12 drinks .price £96.70 , would definitely go there again . Thank you .

A marvellous menu, such a lot of choice! It’s. Tuesday lunchtime and all tables are reserved, it’s so popular! Very dog friendly and the location is perfect for chilling after a long walk. The food is good and staff very helpful.

En un día de semana de febrero muy frío y miserable tuvimos una bienvenida muy cálida. Una gran selección de cervezas reales y otras cervezas, etc. La comida sigue siendo tan buena como siempre - una amplia selección de comidas tipo pub - y platos principales más sustanciales si los necesita. Hay un gran menú para el almuerzo a mitad de semana de £ 8, y mi budín gigante de Yorkshire con estofado de carne y verduras me llenó con creces. Fantástico valor! Con bebidas y pudines, llegó a £ 35 / pareja - así que muy buena relación calidad-precio. En resumen, sigue siendo un excelente pub tanto para comida como para bebida. Definitivamente recomendado

2nd time we've been here in a fortnight. Proper beer proper quality food and in a fantastic setting. We'll be making a few more trips here for sure!!

Cracking old fashioned pub. Epic portions

I have called in previously for lunch when passing and decided to call in for a evening meal, could not fnd any faults, food and service was fantastic, one of the best meals we have had out in a long time, Definately worth the 45 minute drive. Will call in again.

I booked a lunch for 19 just before Christmas. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and freshly made. Thank you - we’ll come again!

Personal excepcionalmente amable, comida de calidad y gran relación calidad-precio. Me hubiera gustado un postre, pero todos estábamos demasiado llenos para acomodar. Tuvimos un problema con nuestra recogida en taxi (¡advierta a la gente!) así que volví al pub para tomar más bebidas. La camarera muy amablemente buscó los horarios de autobús para nosotros, que afortunadamente no necesitábamos, pero sin duda dio un servicio al cliente fabuloso. El ambiente aquí hizo la noche especial. Gracias.

Superb food and drinks plus very friendly staff. It's not our first visit and definitely not our last.

This is a pub in beautiful surroundings on the outskirts of Sheffield. We visited for Christmas lunch with friends. The meal represented excellent value for money and was OK but nothing special. I doubt that the chef(s) ever taste any of the food that is sent out. I guess it is difficult to do this with serving so many people at the same time and at these prices.

What a little gem of a pub. It's surrounded by beautiful countryside, and their Sunday carvery is top notch! I'd say their mash potatoes were the best I've had out, and the meat and vegetables were also delicious. I will be visiting again!!

Lovely place, brilliant views, good choice of food. They do an £8 menu till 4 in the week and portion size is ideal for people who don't eat big plates. Normal menu portion size is large. Friendly staff .

Visited the old horns and lunchtime opted for the lunchtime menu myself + husband had the steak pie chips + peas . It was very good value + quality a good portion of pie homemade chips which you rarely see on a menu + peas the chips were fabulous . The pie filling was lvly meat my only criticism was the pastry was soggy due to the pie being microwaved do understand it's difficult to supply a vast quantity + variation of the menu but would make the meal so much nicer if the pie was done in a oven if possible .

Really enjoyed my 70th birthday night out at the Old Horns , Everything went very well, The service is excellent, The food, The atmosphere and the arrangement inside is very very good, I would recommend it to anyone.

Big plates of food for a good price - we had the deep bowls for £10 each. Nice atmosphere. Busy, even for a Thursday lunch time - we'll reserve in future.

This pub has got to have the best view of any pub in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Great food, great service, great pub. Really enjoyed it. Food portions are massive so be careful. My eyes are usually bigger than my belly and once again I was caught out. Would recommend and would go again. Menu is spot on, same with service. Wish it was my local but I'm over 100 miles away which is annoying.

The Horns are trying hard and it shows. The views are great (of course) but the beer and food are just as good. Well worth a visit.

We’ve been coming here for years, and the staff are just amazing. All really friendly, the food is awesome and this place has just got it right..

This is the 3rd time I've been this year, and yet again it didn't disappoint. Taking family members with us they found everything great, more so for the gluten free members of the family.

Call in for lunch.....OMG £18 for a burger....then it arrived...I didn't know food so big existed. Both me and my dad left completely stuffed. Two beers two meals £35 in total, yes a lot just for lunch, but don't think either of us will be having much for tea. Good value for money.

Lovely food and great views from the verandah. Only 1 bar staff at the time in a busy pub but food was served really quickly.

A fantastic pub nestled on the side of the Peak District hills. Cosy on the inside and a wonderful view on the outside. The Sunday Roast was one of the best I ever had and the offerings were abundant and tasty as anything out there. Very unassuming and authentic. Will definitely visit again.

What a fantastic pub. Stopped on a tour with some mates on our motorbikes as a chance stop for lunch and so glad we did. Amazing food with really quick service. Also lovely views as well across the valley. Highly recommend this excellent establishment

The food was very good. The staff friendly. I am with those who think this pub deserves top marks for quality. Had I not had to write at least 100 characters I would have said "Less is more excellent ".

With new owners and staff the Old Horns feels like a great country side pub come restaurant. With plenty of parking in the rear with tables as well this pub is a lively place for young, family and seniors. There are bar snacks or full seating restaurant area inside with plenty of helpful friendly staff. Katy behind the bar is the most efficient friendly bar person I've seen in a long time handling multiple customers with ease. The main entrance is a flat disabled access but more access is available via a steps from the rear carpark/ outside seating area. On the day I visited mid week around mid day the pub was full and busy but with lots of capable staff every one whether booked or walk in were handled with efficiency and friendly service. I am definitely returning with my family in the near future.

I only stopped for a drink as I had a few miles left of my walk, but what a lovely place to sit outside and watch the world go by.

Absolutely stunning location and beautiful views over sheffield. Food and service were lovely. I would recommend booking a table if its in the evening time and you wish to sit inside, but plenty of benches outside and a lovely outdoor bar area too.

Meals are reasonable but they mark up big time on sweets and beverages! Cost £5’50 for two cups of hot water with tea bags hanging out of cups ‘ no tea pot given’ not going again !!! Rip off!

Excellent Sunday Carvery & great pub menu to accompany. Very busy established country pub with excellent beer, cider & lagers. Outside seating for food on two levels overlooking country views with outside bar ( quieter than inside ) good served up to 9pm I think the Carvery is till 5 pm but just check that time. The food quality is excellent as is the Carvery and great value compared to the current trend of pubs serving tiny portions, charging high prices and calling themselves gastro pubs!! This is a traditional pub with good portions. Competent friendly staff and well kept local beer. Dog friendly, good parking ( be it usually rammed at busy times ) great place to chill for a run out or a walking dtop off. Well worth a visit *** Amazing fish & chips!! GL aka GS

If you just want a lunchtime snack, don't order the Yorkshire pudding with Lancaster ale. It is immense and incredible value for money. Sadly, I did and felt stuffed for the entire day. Great pub. No frills, honest food for honest folk.

Food has gone downhill. Prices have increased immensely, yet quality has decreased. I had lasagne, very little meat and not much flavour, my husband had steak sandwich, very grisly, will not be going again!

4 of us visited here at 12 noon Friday. Fabulous welcome, drinks served at the table. We chose from the lunch time menu. 3 had fish, chips and mushy peas. The fish was huge, moist, the batter was succulent and the chips excellent. One chose a giant bowl of chilli nachos as the main course. It was tasty, well presented and soon devoured. The staff were attentive, gave us plenty of time to decide if we wanted desserts or coffees. They have renovated some of the areas. Looked modern and very clean.

Didn't realise dogs were allowed where people eat not keen on that but everything else lovely.

Never fail to amaze me how this place can offer quality food at low prices. Low the views, food and beer. Top class and recommended to anyone!

Lovely friendly customer service, Staff helpful and attentive . Food spot on ( well done kitchen staff ) and great value for money. My daughter is gluten intolerant but wow what a choice of meals on the menu . To cap it all there’s even a view second to none should your eyes wander away from the food on your plate . Well deserved 5 stars from our family . Shall we return ? Of course we will 👍

Had lunch today very busy but had booked service was exellent food was exceptional and the lunch menu was a decent portion. I had pie my daughter in law had giant yorkshire pudding. The cheese cake is to die for. No complaints would definitely recommend.
