Old Horns Inn in Sheffield

En primer lugar, me encanta la renovación completada hace aproximadamente un año, y el personal. Son tan amables y muy eficientes para mantener las tabpas limpias y acogedoras. El menú es amplio y muy buena relación calidad-precio. . . el problema radica en la cocina. Hay una clara habilidad mixta dentro del desfile de chefs y mientras mis socios y mis 'tazones profundos' salían nadando con salsa (inundados de queso y salsas agridulces) y no eran realmente placenteras, otros servidos en mesas adyacentes eran perfectos. Hablando con el personal sobre el tema, declararon que es un problema en la cocina y la administración realmente necesita resolverlo para garantizar que siga siendo uno de los favoritos para los comensales, incluido nosotros.

Great food and drinks at a good price. Very affordable meals, the BIGGEST plates of food I've ever seen!

Pobre, mi compañero tenía el bacalao rebozado y guisantes. El bacalao era un poco peice, quiero decir poco. Los guisantes aplastados arrojados sobre él en un pastel de pan empapado. Los estándares cayeron dos veces más.

Mother's day Sunday dinner, was delicious 😋. Good selection of vegetables, nice meat & gravy. Was sceptical about the stuffing, but it was lovely. Would definitely go again.

Tuve un almuerzo encantador con mis hijas y nieta para compartir el día de las madres juntas la comida era hermosa muy sabrosa bien presentada y buen precio, las porciones eran muy generosas también. Todo el personal que nos encontramos era amable y acogedor, las vistas desde el jardín exterior son increíbles, así que si solo quieres una copa en el sol de verano hay un montón de mesas y también una pequeña área de juegos. Creo que es mejor reservar si tener comida en el interior porque se puso muy ocupado en el momento en que nos fuimos con la mayoría de las mesas reservadas cuando llegamos allí bien vale la pena una visita. Definitivamente volveré 😋😋

Called for a friend's birthday lunch. A good selection of gluten free options, the batter on the fish was a bit thicker than optimum but it was very tasty nonetheless. The serving staff were amazingly patient with a very busy pub and some slightly ignorant customers. Would I go again? Yes.

Popped in for lunch today, didn’t book but the bartender quickly found us a table. Both ordered the burger and were not disappointed! Food was amazing and the cocktails were just as good. Service and staff were 10/10. Thank you!

We were looking for a village pub that served good quality food. We turned up without a reservation, the place was very busy with people eating, but we were offered a table on the understanding we were required to vacate the table within 90 minutes for a party of four there after. The food menu is extremely comprehensive, catering to everyone's needs. The drinks arrived quickly, and our food arrived with enough time for us to relax and eat in comfort. We enjoyed our choice of food, which was well cooked and plentiful. We promised ourselves we would reserve a table next time and bring our friends with us.

Visited last Sunday. Put order in for 2 Sunday lunches and 2 meals off the menu . We waited for our tickets for the carvery and waited. Asked the chef if we could get our carvery but was told we would have to wait as there were other tables before us . We were seated next to the carvery but nobody came for there meal . Eventually the chef said we could get our meal . It was nice but may be a while before we go again . Waited a long time for drinks

Hands down the tastiest burger I've ever eaten.... rest of the food we've tried has been delicious. Staff really friendly and helpful too.

Precioso pub, por desgracia el Guinness no era muy bueno y la comida era muy caro por la calidad. El bistec estaba muy seco y duro y el pastel de bistec, con un precio de £ 20! tenía muy poca carne en él, sin duda no vale la pena el precio.

Primera visita. Definitivamente volver a la comida era un lugar de servicio encantador. Estaba celebrando el cumpleaños de marido e hijos. Tuvimos la carvery del domingo, la hamburguesa sucia, pescado y las tiras de pollo 😋

Incredible food in a gorgeous location

Called in with friends for lunch after reserving a table . Staff were friendly and welcoming and the pub itself had a cosy relaxed atmosphere. I ordered the steak & ale pie with mashed potatoes and peas. The wife had hunters chicken with chips. Dessert was Bakewell Tart and cream and a coffee to finish. Both meals were delicious and good value, needless to say we’ll be returning again in the near future. The views from the outside area are spectacular so definitely worth a visit. Good old traditional pub serving great food.

The Old Horns era uno de nuestros pubs favoritos, y un viaje de vuelta a Sheffield nos permitió probarlo de nuevo. En un día de semana de febrero muy frío y miserable tuvimos una bienvenida muy cálida. Una gran selección de cervezas reales y otras cervezas, etc. La comida sigue siendo tan buena como siempre - una amplia selección de comidas tipo pub - y platos principales más sustanciales si los necesita. Hay un gran menú para el almuerzo a mitad de semana de £ 8, y mi budín gigante de Yorkshire con estofado de carne y verduras me llenó con creces. Fantástico valor! Con bebidas y pudines, llegó a £ 35 / pareja - así que muy buena relación calidad-precio. En resumen, sigue siendo un excelente pub tanto para comida como para bebida. Definitivamente recomendado

Cracking old fashioned pub. Epic portions

I have called in previously for lunch when passing and decided to call in for a evening meal, could not fnd any faults, food and service was fantastic, one of the best meals we have had out in a long time, Definately worth the 45 minute drive. Will call in again.

Este lugar nunca falla para mí, trajo a la familia para el almuerzo del domingo sentado arriba por primera vez las vistas son impresionantes, la comida, el servicio y el precio de la comida era excelente, siempre hay una buena opción en el menú. pero si te gustan tus cenas asadas debes darle una oportunidad al Carvery.

Visitado para una comida festiva con amigos. Llegamos temprano, pero todavía nos recibieron y se sentaron en una zona muy bien decorada. La elección de la comida era genial también. Personal excepcionalmente amable, comida de calidad y gran relación calidad-precio. Me hubiera gustado un postre, pero todos estábamos demasiado llenos para acomodar. Tuvimos un problema con nuestra recogida en taxi (¡advierta a la gente!) así que volví al pub para tomar más bebidas. La camarera muy amablemente buscó los horarios de autobús para nosotros, que afortunadamente no necesitábamos, pero sin duda dio un servicio al cliente fabuloso. El ambiente aquí hizo la noche especial. Gracias.

I booked a lunch for 19 just before Christmas. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and freshly made. Thank you - we’ll come again!

This is a pub in beautiful surroundings on the outskirts of Sheffield. We visited for Christmas lunch with friends. The meal represented excellent value for money and was OK but nothing special. I doubt that the chef(s) ever taste any of the food that is sent out. I guess it is difficult to do this with serving so many people at the same time and at these prices.

What a little gem of a pub. It's surrounded by beautiful countryside, and their Sunday carvery is top notch! I'd say their mash potatoes were the best I've had out, and the meat and vegetables were also delicious. I will be visiting again!!

Lovely place, brilliant views, good choice of food. They do an £8 menu till 4 in the week and portion size is ideal for people who don't eat big plates. Normal menu portion size is large. Friendly staff .

Visited the old horns and lunchtime opted for the lunchtime menu myself + husband had the steak pie chips + peas . It was very good value + quality a good portion of pie homemade chips which you rarely see on a menu + peas the chips were fabulous . The pie filling was lvly meat my only criticism was the pastry was soggy due to the pie being microwaved do understand it's difficult to supply a vast quantity + variation of the menu but would make the meal so much nicer if the pie was done in a oven if possible .

Really enjoyed my 70th birthday night out at the Old Horns , Everything went very well, The service is excellent, The food, The atmosphere and the arrangement inside is very very good, I would recommend it to anyone.

Big plates of food for a good price - we had the deep bowls for £10 each. Nice atmosphere. Busy, even for a Thursday lunch time - we'll reserve in future.

This pub has got to have the best view of any pub in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Great food, great service, great pub. Really enjoyed it. Food portions are massive so be careful. My eyes are usually bigger than my belly and once again I was caught out. Would recommend and would go again. Menu is spot on, same with service. Wish it was my local but I'm over 100 miles away which is annoying.

Always pop in here most weekends for a leisurely coffee after walking. Always warm & welcoming with amazing views all round.

The Horns are trying hard and it shows. The views are great (of course) but the beer and food are just as good. Well worth a visit.

We’ve been coming here for years, and the staff are just amazing. All really friendly, the food is awesome and this place has just got it right..

This is the 3rd time I've been this year, and yet again it didn't disappoint. Taking family members with us they found everything great, more so for the gluten free members of the family.

Call in for lunch.....OMG £18 for a burger....then it arrived...I didn't know food so big existed. Both me and my dad left completely stuffed. Two beers two meals £35 in total, yes a lot just for lunch, but don't think either of us will be having much for tea. Good value for money.

Lovely food and great views from the verandah. Only 1 bar staff at the time in a busy pub but food was served really quickly.

A fantastic pub nestled on the side of the Peak District hills. Cosy on the inside and a wonderful view on the outside. The Sunday Roast was one of the best I ever had and the offerings were abundant and tasty as anything out there. Very unassuming and authentic. Will definitely visit again.

What a fantastic pub. Stopped on a tour with some mates on our motorbikes as a chance stop for lunch and so glad we did. Amazing food with really quick service. Also lovely views as well across the valley. Highly recommend this excellent establishment

The food was very good. The staff friendly. I am with those who think this pub deserves top marks for quality. Had I not had to write at least 100 characters I would have said "Less is more excellent ".

With new owners and staff the Old Horns feels like a great country side pub come restaurant. With plenty of parking in the rear with tables as well this pub is a lively place for young, family and seniors. There are bar snacks or full seating restaurant area inside with plenty of helpful friendly staff. Katy behind the bar is the most efficient friendly bar person I've seen in a long time handling multiple customers with ease. The main entrance is a flat disabled access but more access is available via a steps from the rear carpark/ outside seating area. On the day I visited mid week around mid day the pub was full and busy but with lots of capable staff every one whether booked or walk in were handled with efficiency and friendly service. I am definitely returning with my family in the near future.

Absolutely stunning location and beautiful views over sheffield. Food and service were lovely. I would recommend booking a table if its in the evening time and you wish to sit inside, but plenty of benches outside and a lovely outdoor bar area too.

Beautiful, quaint, traditional stone house pub a short distance away from Sheffield. Spectacular scenery of the countryside from the terrace. The food was exactly what you want from a traditional pub, excellent pies with Henderson’s relish ! Large size portions, local cask and craft beer and social and friendly staff 👍
