Worst food I've ever had in a wetherspoons, clearly cooked well in advance In bulk and kept just about tepid. I also asked if the table could be cleaned to accommodate our party of 4 and was told "we'll do it when we do it" .. after a lot of palarva I cleaned it myself

Whenever we are walking in Lapworth we always seek out this canalside gem, The staff are always super friendly and welcoming to ourselves and our dog, Not stuffy or too formal just good old England hospitality, They often host special events and have a good range of choice on their menus. We came by with our son and daughter in law and had a few bites between us, The chicken wings, camembert and fish were all excellent, well cooked not too greasy and delicious, I would have liked a dip like a cranberry sauce for the camembert but that was only my preference and it was hungrily enjoyed before we could think to ask :) The hostess cleared away the clutter and we had some more drinks in the sunny canalside garden, staff go above and beyond to make you feel satisfied, totally relaxed and spacious setting. Be back soon.

We visited for breakfast Sat 10th May. The cooked breakfast was really nice, a massive improvement on the year before. Also a shout out to Berna, who was absolutely lovely. She was very engaging, personable and friendly. Thanks for a lovely visit :-) also a guy (sorry - didn’t catch his name) was really kind in asking if we had finished before clearing the breakfast away as we attended late on (usually breakfast places juts clear up without asking so we really appreciated that he asked if we wanted any more before they did). Great visit!

We ate here, the Google system treats this as a hotel but it's more than that. Fascinating historic place with a central carriage aisle and side rooms. The food was fine, we had the 2 for £20 deal. Basic but nice, great value. Service was fine too, wine a tad pricey. Based on this I recommend the Red Lion
