Really, really, really bad. Burnt food, expensive beyond belief. No chance of them properly sorting it as manager more interested in telling their staff off. Honestly avoid, get a uber to nearby pub or food delivered in from outside. Alton towers really need to get better caterers

I rarely wrote a review or read them often. We were left with no choice but to eat here last night and our expectations were low. It was the worst food I have had for a very long time. The cheapest produce available. We had the sharer £60 platter amongst other things. Everything was deep fried. It’s also app base which I hate. Staff were lovely but there wasn’t an empty plate in the place. Pizza in splash landings was almost tasteless. Such a shame as it spiked a nice weekend. Staff in the resort generally were great. Captive audience results in being seriously ripped off. If we went again I’d leave the resort to eat 🤢 Breakfast was fine. Cheap produce again but variety.

English breakfast and pastries as you would expect from a buffet, fresh fruit and drink options were nice, and it appeared to be on an all you can eat basis. I recommend booking your time slot with guest services on room checkin. Make sure you confirm your booking slot via the email you'll receive to avoid any confusion.

We are a family of 5 , 7 year old and 3 year old twins. The food was sub standard and I would not return again. The resort needs to do better considering this is one of their better restaurants. Staff were nice but service was slow.

Don’t get me wrong, the food is edible… and we knew it would be extortionate but this was something else. The portion sizes are so tiny, the brownies are the size of a 50p and cost £4.50. J20s are more than £3.50 each and the presentation of the food looks like they just threw it on a board. The black and red burgers are cool but I’d rather not pay so much and just have normal colours. The service wasn’t great, we ordered all the food in one order so obviously they bring dinner out first. Once we’d finished, we waited 30 minutes for desserts and nothing came so I asked if we could have them. The person I spoke to said I had to reorder them even though we’d already paid £9 for 2. I went and asked another person and she went and got them. It wasn’t even particularly busy.

Booked our table for 8.45pm 7th September using the online system which was easy to use. When seated we were explained as how to order using either the online QAR code or at the bar. Ordered at the bar, drinks or was incorrect and drinks forgotten. Drinks arrived 1 hours after ordering. First set of food arrived after 45mins, but it's wasn't ours. Informed the waiter that this wasn't our food but he insisted it was. When we told him our table number realised he had taken food to the wrong table. Our food arrived an hour and 15 mins after ordering. But one of the meals was missing. Went back to the bar to explain we were missing a meal for one of the kids. Was told it was missed off, asked to order another meal to be told they had run out. Manager (female) could not of cared less. While not great I could understand if it was an adults meal missed, but to not care that a childs meal had be missed and was rather upset. Tried nothing to help, nothing offered and could not of cared. As for the food not the best. One of the kids enjoyed the penna pasta in tomato sauce, along with the fajitas. The nachos with added beef chilli was the worst meal I've ever had. Chicken burger was not the best either. Left most of the food and went and ordered a takeaway. Such a shame as we'd had such a great day as a family within the park. Poor way to finish the day.

Had a decent meal in here, in terms of burger and chips, it's really not a bad place to eat. It was delivered very quickly after ordering on the QR code. Price seemed much more reasonable than some alternatives.

Sick of burgers and chips I ordered fajitas. No seasoning and literally swimming in oil. Plus side, staff were excellent and very attentive. In summery - For the money charged I feel that the food standard was incredibly low. At least a bit of flavour and a proper size tortilla would be a good start. So disappointed ☹️

The breakfast is buffet style all you can eat and we loved it. Lots of options to suit everyone. Good variety of drinks as well.

Very canteen like which you sort of expect for a big venue but the prices reflect a restaurant. Clearly the food is processed and pre made, it was both bland and salty. The loaded fries with either chilli or bacon ( we had both) came with loads of cheese sauce that resembled cheese sauce from a bottle or powder and it made the chips soggy. The ‘crispy bacon’ was actually cold chopped ham and when we complained they took it away and returned with a new portion of the same dish just more of it, 🙈The bottom of the dish was slushy and not nice. Corn on the cob was not fresh and smelt fishy. Very limited gluten free and vegetarian options. Expensive food and expensive drinks. Captive customers so not making an effort with the food and charging a lot seems to be their sales strategy. The only reason I’ve given this a two is because the waiting staff are so lovely.

Booked here as the restaurant at our hotel was almost full (only early or late slots available) and The Crooked Spoon had slightly better reviews, although given none of the Alton Towers restaurants are particularly well rated I was a little apprehensive. We arrived at 5.25pm for our 5.30pm booking and were greeted by a polite young lady and shown to our table. The menu and QR code was explained to us and we had no problem placing our order. Drinks arrived promptly and food shortly after. My husband had the chicken and halloumi fajitas, which were sizzling hot on the skillet, I had the sweet potato and chickpea salad, and the children had a tomato pasta and a chicken tenders with chips. Everything was really tasty, the kids food wasn't too hot and we had empty plates all round. I had a glass of rosé which was lovely, hubby had a pint and kids had soft drinks and it came to a little over £80, which was a bit less than we had expected. Perhaps a little pricey for what it is, but these types of places always are as they have a captive audience. Although prompt, most of the serving staff didn't really seem to know the location of table numbers (several times we saw stagger carry a tray, put it down, look around and then go back to find the table they wanted) which I can imagine being a problem at busier times (around a third of the tables were occupied when we ate, and given how close the tables are together, I can see how it gets a bit uncomfortable when full). Also, no one spoke to us aside from the lady who seated us, just put the food and drinks down and left. No "enjoy your meal" or "can I get you any sauces" or anyone popping back to check everything was OK, so it was fortunate that we didnt need anything else. It was a little odd and made the experience feel a bit more like a fast food restaurant than an actual restaurant. So 1 star removed for service, but food and drinks far better than expected, especially based on previous reviews!

Great breakfast during our 2 night stay. Plenty of choice and cooked breakfast tasted good. Staff and service very efficient. A few more cereals would be great.

After a long day in the park, we didn’t want to venture very far for food, so we decided to try the Crooked Spoon. The food choice was very limited, service was very slow and some servers weren’t sure which table to deliver the food to. The restaurant is very cold, so take a coat or jacket. If we were to stay at Alton Towers again, we wouldn’t go back to this restaurant.

Nice breakfast, we had breakfast here as we stayed in the enchanted forest, the staff were all friendly and the service was spot on couldn’t complain. The food was nice quality and always being filled up. Good selection of hot food, cold sweet and savoury bites. Good hot and cold drinks selection.

We are staying here for the weekend, we booked kere for dinner. The food is pretty much limited like burgers, etc. however the cheese burger was nice. The breakfast buffet style not so much a fan of. Some of the food was cold and we had to wait for the likes of beans and stuff to come out.l however because this was part of our deal (the breakfast) can’t complain. We were served by Christian who was amazing and went out of his way to help us. A real credit to the restaurant. We had a kids pasta with chicken which was a good size especially for the price. Full of flavour. The mud chicken burger was really tasty and a good size meal. We also had gammon which was really nice and tasty.

Staff were super helpful and efficient keeping the buffet topped up. No queuing for stations. Quickly seated at our table. Complimented the manger she was very humble with the feedback.

Last had breakfast at the Alton Towers resort around 3-4 years ago, when i thought that the quality was poor. This time i was very happy, all food was hot and tasty. Good selection including bacon, fried and scrambed egg, sausage, tomato, mushroom, hash brown, cereal, toast, fruit and pastries. Much better than my previous visit.

Friendly and welcoming staff at this venue on the Alton Towers resort. Simple menu and the food was of a good quality. Food took a little while to arrive and portions were on the smaller side, especially for the money paid.

We’ve stayed in a few Alton towers accommodations now but it was the first time here for breakfast, and we won’t be back. It just felt a lot dirtier and neglected than other resort breakfasts, and their lack of info or training regarding allergies was a bit worrying. I asked to see the allergen menu so I could see what is vegan, and was told it doesn’t say - they weren’t aware you could look to check dairy etc individually, and were quite rude about the fact I wanted to look. Another staff member on our last day let us know they can put in vegan sausages for us which was so kind and appreciated! But overall it wasn’t anything like the breakfasts at other hotels, so we won’t be staying in the cottages again

Was not able to book a table in advanced so had to just walk in, was told our table of 9 wouldn’t be able to be cleaned for at least 30 mins. Which in reply we offered to clean the table ourselves as we all wanted to sit together. The girl who appeared as “manager” was very blunt in her replies with no and that splitting into a 4 and 6 was the ONLY option. Note: after we left the restaurant over and hour later the table we requested originally wasn’t cleaned! We were told it was bar service for food and drinks? Surprising after our previous visits we had had such amazing table service which encouraged us to go back in the first place. The girl I think named Sasha then brought over about 6 kids menus and maybe 2 adult menus. The menus were covered in something sticky and falling apart. We didn’t even want to touch them. Food came at all different times: expected when ordering separately but still disappointed. New guy Andy was lovely, was his first day and was very friendly :) On request, we asked for a burger to be plain, i made sure to double check when ordering as my brother is very fussy! TWICE, it came back with other toppings still on it. Overall, I really wouldn’t recommend this place. Surrounded by dirty plates for the entirety of our meal, no check backs and very blunt and rude staff, will be sure to avoid next time we are here. Made a very good day at the park have a poor ending.

No options available for my daughter who has coeliac. Menu is very different to what is visible online. Lack of choice available to adults and children in general. Staff member when asked about what they could do shrugged shoulder. She then went on to say they have none gluten containing sausages, but these contained wheat. I was told this would be ok for my daughter to eat. I am horrified by the knowledge allergies. Reception desk of the enchanted lodges was soon quick to help book us in at another restaurant on site that could accommodate.

So after a long day in the park with a 4yr old, 11,14 yr olds, went to the village, the lodge was in a great location to the restaurant, lodge 747, 30secs walk from it. We booked breakfast, everything was great and hot. Lots of choices too

Overpriced & poor food. Cocktails are all from a carton. If your expecting fresh meals this isn’t the place. Cheap frozen produce charged at ridiculous prices. If they charged two meals for £10 at least people would be prepared for low quality.

We ate here on our first evening within the resort, 2 adults and 3 children. We stayed in the CBeebies hotel and not wanting to eat dinner in the same place we were having breakfast we walked over to the crooked spoon. I was fully away that prices would be high due to it being a resort however, the price did not match the quality or experience of this place. We didn’t book, which didn’t appear to be a problem as the restaurant was empty at 5:30pm which was surprising being mid summer. The staff were pleasant enough and took us to our table. I ordered fish and chips which was very disappointing, the fish was tasteless, the mushy peas grey and overheated. The worse park of the entire meal was the chips. Never had such dry chips in my life. We left £122 worse off and not satisfied at all but at least we were fed. I would not recommend eating here however we found the CBeebies hotel restaurant much better.

The restaurant has a lovely relaxed vibe. It's child friendly and provides delicious gluten and dairy free options.

Breakfast was lovely! We arrived 20 mins after our booked time with some of our bags on the way to our car. Letting us come in with them no problem! Lots of choice considering 9.20am! I had a lovely cooked breakfast and the kids enjoyed the muffins, pastries and pancakes! Couldn’t fault.

Certainly up there with the worst food I’ve ever ate. We got 3 buttermilk chicken burgers and 3 soft drinks. Tasted like chicken had been cooked in year old oil. Chips were also crusty and tasteless. Slaw would have been quite nice if it wasn’t warm. Nothing would bring me back, even starvation… Cynically priced to take advantage of a captive audience. £60 for food worse than McDonald’s.

After an awful dinning experience at The Secret Garden restaurant the previous evening, this place was a welcome retreat! It’s very pleasantly themed and we really enjoyed our breakfast. Plenty of options including a hot buffet, toast area, cereals and pastries. The staff we friendly too so I can only imagine it would have been a cheaper, tastier place to have had dinner!

Went to restaurant for dinner as we were staying overnight at Enchanted Village. It was my daughters birthday so we brought a birthday cake with us and gave it them on arrival so we could have it later which they agreed. Prices very expensive yet no table service so had to go to bar to order. Very poor when you are paying £20 for fish and chips. Clearly want to save on costs whilst still ripping off customer. There were 8 of us and meals did not come together but spaced apart by about 20 mins so had to eat separately. Had to chase three missing meals. Took 90 minutes from arrival to end of meal for one course. I asked several times for birthday cake to be brought over with candles and after around 20 minutes I gave up and asked if I could have cake and candles back to do it myself as children were getting impatient by now. The waitress then brought the boxed cake back to us and said it had been in hostess trolly as if that made it better?! Daughter hugely disappointed. Then had to hunt around for a lighter from member of public and sing happy birthday on a bench outside! This was after spending around £200 on meals and drinks. Avoid this restaurant if you value good service as the staff here just don’t care-even when it’s a child’s birthday! AWFUL!
