Typical Weetherspoons but I'm going to rate the local customers five stars! Such fantastic, friendly people. We arrived Saturday night, it was busy. We were a group of nine with no chance of a table until people realised what we were doing. One table moved, including their food so we could get two together then another table realised and gave us one of their tables, people were offering chairs and suddenly, from a packed room we were all sat down at a table for 9 in what felt like seconds! Obviously won't happen every time, but what great people. Weetherspoons prices always make you smile and you know what you're getting with the food We had two drivers and were therefore happy to have the public car park outside, free in the evening.

Does what it says on the tin as far as a weatherspoons goes, cannot complain.

Lovely old building with lots of character. Service as you would expect from a Wetherspoon. You know what you're going to get.

A really wonderful spoons. It looks quite new or recently refurbished. There's lot's of seating inside and out. There's lot of choice on the menu with something for everyone, including vegetarians. It's easy to order on the app or at the bar if you prefer. Our food came fairly quickly and was hot and well prepared. There's high street carpark around the corner, which is free after 3.30pm.

Great Value Breakfast and refillable Coffee Tea with Decaffeinated options.

Dirty glasses twice un acceptable

We visited on 'steak night' and we were pleasantly surprised how good it was for the price. The steaks are a little tough but they're nicely seasoned and cooked perfectly. Beer was ice cold

Very busy tonight. Every table full. Drinks came within 5 minutes of ordering from my phone. Food 5 minutes later. Very good service. Food ok too. 👍

The food is exactly as you'd expect from a Spoons, it's not Michelin Star, but it's also a hindsight cheaper Great clean pub with friendly staff

Always quite busy nice food and beer

The food was mediocre at best required disgusted to see rats outside the property by the bins

Kind of just your average Wetherspoons really — yet there are much worse pubs in the centre

Myself and 2 granddaughters were happy with everything. You know what you're going to get with Wetherspoons. Good value for money.

Ordered cheese jacket potato and when served was told there was no salad dressing. Why was this not mentioned when ordering. No salad cream and I don't like mayonnaise. Very few bottles of mustard and only mild, no hot. Disgruntled.

Great breakfast at low price, service excellent. Atmosphere lacking due to virtually everyone fiddling with phones( this is now common in all pubs/cafes etc.

As far as wethers go this is a really nice one .always good value

Always a busy place, you know what you are getting at a wetherspoons, it's the best eatery in town, , James the waiter is a valuable asset to the company, he's always pleasant, jolly and extremely helpful, he makes a lot of people happy, when I visit I hope he's on shift, he's a man who gets things done without a problem.

Max's hospitality and service was excellent.

I love a good Spoons meal!!! You get what you pay for! Quick, easy and cheap!! The team here are wonderful and it’s a beautiful building!! Just can get a bit cramped in it but it’s to be expected!!

Always a good choice, nice clean friendly good menu.

Great location, just very slow service. All the table got food at different times, so when each person finished their meal another would get there's. I got given my dessert before my main had even arrived, it was that slow. Poor staff trying to keep up with the number of people. They were very apologetic. Management at fault.

A very nice pub, the food is 'typical spoons' food, but very tasty, arrived quickly, and portions were decent Friendly & attentive staff.

Always start my evening in spoons when I go out,, the pub is buzzing. All age groups lovely.

Decent enough Wetherspoons in a nice old building, you know what you're getting in a Wetherspoons, but it was the first time I was made to join a queue to get served. A queue that stretched around tables while people were sat eating and having a drink etc, 2 people behind the bar, having to serve drinks and steward/police anyone coming in to make sure they joined the queue. What's going on when you're made to queue just to get to a bar these days?

Very busy but quick service. Tables not cleared but was really busy.

Good drink is reasonable priced. Food good with little wait. Staff friendly. Housed in a lovely old building with lot's of character.

Good atmosphere, staff are helpful, friendly and accommodating. Turned up with a big group and they found us an area to sit and have good. Usual Weatherspoons menu and good value. Nice open fireplace if you can get sat by it!

Always enjoy a visit here. Good choice of beers. Can get busy at peak times, but have always found a seat.

Ordered fish and chips, no mushy peas available, when it turned up no peas at all and lukewarm chips. Have eaten here before and always been great food. Disappointed 😞

It's ok, as expected. Not as cheap as it used to be but quality is still low. Pizza base was undercooked, nachos bland. Staff told us incorrect information twice regarding meals. Difficult to find children items on the app.

A lovely breakfast for £2.99 followed by three superb ales from independent brewers. Lovely, airy, comfortable surroundings to enjoy company with mates in order to put the world to rights.

Like the little room they have, as I'm autistic and adhd and don't like nosey places. Would be nice if there was a door to damped the sound when it got a little busyer in the next room.

It's a Whetherspoons what more can I say. Good value pub food meal deals. Ordering s simple using their app. Service was efficient and friendly. I like the history of the Green Dragon. It must be one of the older origi al.buildings that they have. If you look in one of the front rooms, they have done a great job of exposing the timber beams from most likely the original building of 1693. Reportedly Leeks oldest Inn.

We have been here before quite a long time ago but we weren't disappointed. Staff friendly and it's a lovely place to be. The food as we expect is always good so no worries there. We will be back sometime I'm sure , thanks guys.

I come to Leek a few times a year to visit a friend. I love the singing waiter with the moustache. He makes my visit to Leek a happy one.

A very nice place,as is the food, but always very busy, which makes it a bit difficult to get to the bar,or find a seat.......

Situated in the Green Dragon this Wetherspoons is a nice enough pub: some cosy corners and an all-you-can-drink coffee machine with a coffee purchase. You can order on your app to get it delivered to your table. Nice staff at the time of my visit and the food was good. All in all a pleasant visit.

Overcharged at the till, wrong drink order, fish swimming in grease, worst spoons i have visited for food.

Visited today at 11.15 am for breakfast. Two spare tables, to be expected,it was Fathers day. Cleared our table myself and went to the bar to order at 11.25. One bar staff on, admittedly the two dizzy women in front of me were an absolute nightmare for him,one had to explain to her child why she couldn't have coke and then forgot her purse ☹️. Apparently there was no bread available so no toast!!. The lady wanted to swap the toast for black pudding and didn't realise it was meat so no swap cos it was like for like (fair enough). At 11.55 I gave up and we went somewhere else. Not blaming the poor man behind tybar, he was doing his absolute best but really needed help. It was Fathers Day, surely the management should have got more staff in. Definitely won't be rushing back.

This place has really gone downhill. Took 25 mins to bring drinks,table full of glasses and plates. One person on his own behind bar doing everything himself!! Blame the management really,they just don't seem bothered.. food was frozen still.. and toilets filthy.... such a shame

A very good Spoons. Nice interesting building with large beer garden, The staff were very nice and most items were well stocked. This pub was very clean and well kept compared to other weatherspoon pubs.

The food was really nice , the service was excellent. Staff were very pleasant & helpful. Really nice atmosphere, very busy at times. But plenty of seating inside & out. Toilets are upstairs like most wetherspoons.

Breakfasted in Leek, as you do. The Green Dragon was our destination that day, we were there early, almost first through the door. It's a beautiful Grade ii listed building that has been a pub since the mid sixteenth century. Wetherspoons are the latest occupiers and the pub certainly looks the part. The famous pig-ugly blue and white plates arrived at our table and the traditional breakfasts upon them look appetising enough. The early indications were good and so we started eating. The food was hot and cooked nicely. Breakfast in Wetherspoons varies wildly from pub to pub. From the perfect serving to the 'can't be bothered, just slop any old rubbish on the plate', you never quite know what you're going to get. That morning the friendly staff were clearly in the mood to make their mark. Nice, crispy bacon, hot sausage, thermo-nuclear hash browns and nicely tanned toast hit the spot beautifully. A really lovely breakfast in an equally nice pub.

Had breakfast on way back from Matlock and ordered a traditional with extra black pudding and large veggie and kids pancakes. Both breakfasts were lukewarm /cold. Bacon, tomatoes , black pudding g and toast all burnt. Fried eggs hard and looked like they’d had all the burnt bits hacked off around the edges. The smallest tomatoes and mushrooms I’ve ever seen . The only reason I’ve given any stars is for the cups of refillable tea . It was busy at 10am ..can only assume the people were visitors like us rather than locals because I can’t see why anyone would go back for food.

We didn't have any food but what we saw looked lovely. A beautiful place, obviously old but tastefully decorated and plenty of seating and tables with an outside courtyard to sit in. Service was prompt and staff are very courteous. Great selection of drinks.

After a really nice weekend i found myself in the beer garden in this Leek establishment. With a friend and my dog, after 30 seconds i was told to leave in an friendly way, because i had a dog. The only outdoor non dog friendly pub i know, never eating or drinking here again.

They’ve had a mare . I came here after work on my own so thought I’d order off the app. Food and a beer. Sat waiting nearly half hour so had to go to the bar as no drink had a arrived . Food hadn’t been put through , told problem with the system fair enough . Got my drink and sat back down . No more than 10 minutes and food came out and had been rushed through . Chicken wing cold at the bone . Chicken burger cold in the middle . Do you not use temp. Probes ? Waiting to see if I’ve got food poising as I write this
