Breakfast was disgusting, not much food on the deck. Food was cooked poorly. The eggs were small and looked terrible. Nothing was hot enough. Worst breakfast I have ever had. Coffee was garbage. Wild horses wouldn't drag me back.

What an absolute disappointment. The staff are rude, scruffy, and unprofessional. The food is low quality and is served cold, and the cashiers can neither perform simple addition nor refund you when an incorrect bill has been charged. For context, me and my friend went to the Ashbank last night and had planned to go along to their psychic night for a midweek treat. I was charged for a Meat Carvery, when I am Vegetarian, but the cashier could not refund the difference for some reason. At the end of the psychic night- which was absolute cow pat- I was embarrassed by the Assistant manager and he made me feel very small. He was propped up against the carvery bar wearing a scruffy puffer coat, drinking beer from the bottle. As I'd been charged for meat, but didn't have any, I innocently asked for a portion of "scraps" to take home at the end of the night for my dog. He then said a load of things that didn't make sense and that the whole chain cannot give meat as the scraps are weighed, blah blah blah. By this logic, the weight of waste would be off as I'd had a Vegetarian carvery when a meat carvery was run through the till? I couldn't argue my point anymore, so left it there. Conversations were being had about me by the staff and another manager, who were giving me dirty looks. Like, what on earth? It's a very amateur establishment and no one seems to know what they're doing. I was charged incorrectly, the food and service were abysmal, and I was treated like I had leprosy.

Absolute dive! Unclean tables everywhere and toilets are discussing. Only 1 meat left on the carvery at 7:30pm! Pizza hard and burgers are dry. No refund offered!

Called in a couple of weeks ago and service/ carvery were very good. It was late afternoon on a Wednesday and quiet inside. Only negative point is the decor especially the entrance which is not inviting

A great Carvery plus a good menu otherwise. Lovely friendly staff, especially Sandra who has been there for years, and nothing is too much trouble for her. Very helpful and friendly. Lovely food at reasonable prices. Big car park.

Food and staff were great. Didn't realise you had to order kids deserts at the same time as their food, but this was easily sorted out for us.

When we arrived the place was in chaos as is Sunday lunching, so we did have to wait a minute for the table to be cleaned. Although, the carvery was delicious as always (best one around in my opinion) and the chef John earned himself a shout out. He was pleasant and chatty as we waited in the carvery line for food. Then even bringing my friend some gammon to the table as it had just been freshly prepared and at the time of getting food we were too impatient to wait. Great customer service from John in particular!!! He's an asset to the team.

Avoid going for breakfast, you’ll be lucky if you get half an egg and a hash brown at the same time. Either nothing is ever done or everything is always finished, by time you get everything you want on your plate after waiting 2 business days for your eggs, beans, hash browns bacon & sausage. Everything is cold. And this is more than one occasion

Called in for tea at 8pm. Yorkshire pudding and bacon around pigs in blankets overcooked and inedible. Vegetables dried out under the heat lamp. Bar service good. Eating area clean and clutter free. Children running around the eating and bar areas.

First up we walked in and it was eerily quiet for a Saturday, that should have sent the warning bells ringing. Glasses and cutlery were filthy but still we ordered food. First up they didn't have any fish and chips, oh well but then 10 minutes after putting our order in they came out to say they didn't have any vegan cheese for the pizza either. We were told they would come back to take another order to replace it in a few minutes but the guy never returned. We then waited a while for the food despite there not being many people in. When it finally came out I got to see that my pizza was horribly burnt and half of it was hollow?? Not a particular fan of crunchy pizza with a massive amount of pizza dust on the bottom (seriously I was covered in it by the end and I only ate half of the pizza). The vegan chicken burger was cold and dry and the carvery was cold due to being sat around and the roast potatoes were rock solid. We're usually a fan of dessert but didn't even want to chance it. Always loved The Ashbank in the past but it's really not good anymore.

Been for my brothers birthday and had a great time. As a disabled person who is also a vegetarian. I struggle to eat out in some places. This venue is always accessible and realiable. Staff (shout out to Sandra) are always accommodating and helpful.

Had a lovely beef carvery lunch. The meat was nice and tender and no complaints about the veg or ice cream sundae. Staff were lovely. We would definitely go again

Pleasantly surprised with our meal and experience today. We've been a few times, but today the staff went the extra mile, giving our little girl an extra sausage and a free ice cream! Food hit the spot, service quick, will come again.

I go here regularly for a carvery. Plenty of parking, child friendly. Friendly staff, normally a quick service, it can get busy so maybe a 5 min wait in the que. On the whole the food is good quality, never rushed to get eaten n get out. Worth a visit if you're near. Recommended by me.

Found another Stonehouse pub whilst out delivering and just as good as my regulars.. will definitely call in again when in the area. Had a buffet breakfast and everything was spot on..

Food was delicious and piping hot, staff were good but this was pre-ordered Christmas dinner for click & collect and despite meal requirements having been sent to Ash Bank it had not been sent to kitchen so wasn't ready...I was therefore left waiting in boiling hot bar area for 20 minutes for a meal to take out & wasn't even offered a glass of water during my wait

We booked the Ashbank for our Christmas dinner and it’s safe to say we’ll never be booking again. Upon arrival we were seated straight away at our time slot (3.30) and all seemed ok. It took 1 hour and 20 minutes just for our starter to arrive, baring in mind we had the table for just 2 hours. After 1 hour, i politely let the staff know we hadn’t been served yet to which I was told with an attitude by the chef being the pizza counter that I wasn’t the only one, he’d only just been given our order (we had already pre-ordered weeks ago) and it’d be another 5 minutes. The staff were rude to each other, a young woman with short blonde bobbed hair put her hand up to another staff members face who was asking a question as if to say don’t speak to me and walker straight off. One starter had to go back as it was stone cold. We got to the mains to find out there was no turkey left, along with no stuffing and no mash, barley and veg left and watery gravy. We decided to pass on the desserts after seeing the staff using their fingers to take food off the counter and double dip in the gravy pot and then continue to serve food without washing their hands. I must say the assistant manager was great, very pleasant and did everything he could to help, shame his staff treated him the way they did. I understand no one wants to work Christmas Day but if you choose to work in that industry then you know what you’re signing up to.

Sandra welcomed us and offered a fantastic service throughout. She went above and beyond by making sure we were happy with our order and came to check that we were happy with the meal.

Bar and kitchen staff were great guys 10/10 friendly and helpful, good sence of humour, this is just aimed at the lady night time carvery slicer that has a face like a smacked arse and give me a portion (large carvery) of beef the portion size I'd recommend she should have for herself instead to improve her health. What a rude moody lady indeed. Again I stress that the other staff were great and I'd definitely eat here again.
