Overall one of the better spoons. Food was well cooked and arrived in good time.

Extremely rude lady when enquired about missingfood on our order didn't want to help just check your app and if you want to complaint check your app . Handled better I wouldn't of complaint about her and the order mix up

Staff very friendly and helpful but like all the other ones food not great this isn't down to the staff though just poor quality

Went here yesterday I'm disabled and went to use the downstairs disabled toilet, my god I was nearly sick when I opened the door it was absolutely disgusting smelt of strong urine and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days floor was saturated, so I had to cone out with out using the toilet. we were sat at the tables at the back near the disabled toilet door and everytime someone opened the door the vile stench came out. My hubby did mention to a staff member but all he got was the men's upstairs were out of order and they were using the disabled ! Totally ruined our meal so we left and won't be returning !

I was lucky enough to see more than one problem handled really well whilst I used this place over a couple of days. Really nice staff. Very good breakfasts, good value.

My experience was horrific with slow service . It is a small pub which has no room the view is blocked by a pillar outside . The best part of this place is the toilets. Genuinely horrible

You get what you pay for, tables could be wiped before you grab one. Nice food for the price. The "ultimate" burger though was not very ultimate. Quite small like a McDonald's saver burger.

Was very un organised Every table was covered in dirty plates,and glasses , was told over 1 hour wait for food then was told they gad stopped serving this was at 3pm

Bad place. To be first of all. The place looks out dated dark and depressing. Ordered breakfast, what was cold the bottle of sauce they have a good selection Apart from not having brown sauce in a bottle. I had to ask for brown sauce, and they brought it out in packet form. The butter for my cold toast was melted and it went over my clothing. I can say I'm not impressed with the situation and they butter was like water pouring from a tap they said because it was on a hot plate when I asked for the manager. Well it could not been hot on my plate due to my breakfast. Was cold.. all I can say what a poor place to come and never again

Had the chicken tikka massala with popodoms rice and garlic nan.had the rhubarb and ginger gin with it.meal did not take to long it was nice and hot.highly recommend and definitely would go again

The staff are welcoming. The drinks are reasonably cheap, good place to go for drinks on a Friday or Saturday. The tables were dirty and weren't cleaned properly, there was lipstick on of the glasses were they forgot to wash it proper apart from that it was very lively and the atmosphere was ok.

Christmas dinner was very nice 👍

Steak wasn't cooked at all even though we ordered medium cooked. The shawarma wrap was a disaster and the desert came at the same time as our food resulting in the ice cream melting. The chef needs to be educated on how to cook and staff need to have some common sense. We asked why the desserts had come out too early and they couldn't answer, instead offered to put a warmed up cookie dough in the fridge so the ice cream didn't melt. Not Very happy with the amount of money spent for the quality of service and food we got.

always love going here, early enough friday night wasnt over crouded, the service from the staff is very good, the toilets are clean and the food is YUM, stopped here before going to the rigger for a gig, doormen there for safety too i always go here for a nice night out👍🏻

A sneaky substandard Spoons. Never enough floor staff so always end up just walking up and collecting drinks ordered on the app myself. Food fine, standard Spoons stuff. But drinks frequently out of stock and pints served with large heads.

Wetherspoons in new castle under Lyme looks nice My first time hi been in here and hi always use the one Hanley and that closed doing it all up At the moment

Been here a few times with it being local. Not the best food we've had in wetherspoons. But good service and good prices.

Good food, great beer Service is pretty good for a wetherspoons

Our intentions were to go to another local Wether spoons but this is closed for renovations. Sat at a unclean sticky table as we had no choice. Had to literally ask where are my Crisps as staff too busy dancing about to pay any attention! Then we received the wrong ones but would of waited ages to get proper ones. Staff spilt a shot over my Dad which they will be billed for if the stains don't come out. Food well Dad enjoyed his but my food was cold. Disgusting they had no Mayo at all and the Tomato sauce was rebottled. Chips were that hard I had to soak them in Vinegar to make them edible. Day light robbery for a bit of cheese. Won't come to this Spoons again and went to another after so to keep our sanity. Never again.

Lovely place to visit, staff very hard working, we have a great time and have many more new friends, well recommended, keep up the great work and Hospitality, Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all who visit.

Cheap good quality tasty food and hot drinks and free refills. Interesting mix of people and friendly atmosphere and comfortable seating.

I visited Saturday 12th October in the evening to find out the four draft beers that were on two of them were available. 3 of us had a pint of the same type and it was all cloudy, obviously the end of the barrel. We gave the beer back to the barman and asked what was up with it. In the end they did give us another drink, which we appreciated, but was disappointed in the lack of beer variety available. We have visited the Hanley and Biddulph branch before and both were very good, plenty of choice, but been to Newcastle branch a few times now and each time there's been something off.

Not too bad for the start of a dirty night out.

Nice Spoons, had dinner and a drink while in the location for work. Was good for me as a solo traveller.

This was a great pub for lunch, with a nicely styled design! This is contributed to from the features along the wall and the note symbols at the counter, which is stylish in itself. I had a tasty Tuna and Cheese panni although it lacked as much mayo as should, seating is fine and the toilets were clean.

Went in on a Friday night and it was buzzing with life , the place seemed clean and the staff were friendly and on the ball getting drinks served out quickly . Definitely visit again

Visited many times for breakfast and is always OK for the money. Could do with being served hot rather than just warm enough to eat.

Maybe one of the better spoons I've been in venue wise, stairs are still miles away. Even tho was super busy staff were efficient and consistent. Not great food but typical for a spoons I suppose.

Wow this place has went downhill. One of the worst breakfasts I've ever eaten. 11:20am and the breakfast came to the table over cooked and clearly been placed on a hot plate. Drunk customers milling around remembering it was 11:20am and plates left everywhere. Took breakfast home for the dogs and they even refused to eat it. I'd rather eat my own leg. Definitely won't return.

Its cheap and cheerful. Took quite a long while to receive our order (both food and drinks) to the point that we ended up fetching drinks 25-30 minutes after placing the order

On arrival all empty tables were full of dishes and dirty, we asked a waitress to clean out table, her reply was "when I've got time" she then charged over to me and my little girl slat all the plates together, ignored me when I said thanks and did not return to clean the table. This same waitress was rude again after this incident. We won't be returning. Food basic and dry. Only decent thing about the visit was the famous spoons drink prices!

Had one if my best ever Weatherspoons Breakfasts here!!

Wanted somewhere quick to eat with the family. Ordered steak - no steak. Ordered chicken - No chicken. Was then informed at 8.15pm that we had to leave before 9pm and we need to order quickly. It took 30 minutes for the food to arrive. 5 mins after the food arrived we were reminded by doorstaff again to hurry up and leave. Absolutely ridiculous, I'm a big weatherspoons fan but this was the worst I've been to. Due to no fault of our own it was over an hour for the food to arrive.

It's a Weatherspoons at the end of the day cheap and cheerful could do with a bit of TLC to the inside as it's getting a bit dated needs brightening up but it's ok.

We paid extra for poached egg and chicken breast which were both reasonably priced. £8.52 and a pint of beer/lager is included, even the expensive ones. Magical value. Wagamama Ramen Bowls are priced at £14. The ones here are a fraction of the price and virtually just as Good!!!!!!!!!! Gotta try them!!!!

Have been to this Weatherspoons quite a few times and always found it to be worth the visit, great food and usually very quick service.

Thr Arnold machin, what to say... food sub par and the beer isn't too much better(since they got rid of heineken).... the reason I put 2 stars for the atmosphere is because watching the bag heads and the commotion is entertaining... but it's spoons isn't it, it meets expectations and cannot fault the breakfast in the slightest, cured many hangovers

the service was good apart from the waiter, (bar runner) who was ginger and made me feel like i should not have been in the pub, he was very rude and made me feel very self conscious and that i should not have been there.

It's a great place for cheaper meals out and to take the family out on the cheap. Recommend it and nice hot chocolate.

Went in breakfast and a pint breakfast cold table dirty

Unfortunately I paid for a gourmet steak but only got a basic steak with an add on sauce. When I complained the response was so good, sorted immediately, offered free dessert, which I didn't need, but lovely to be offered it. Apologised three times, impressive customer service. Lovely member of staff.

I had a sirloin steak, gourmet style. With the trimmings and one of the beats steaks I've tasted.. Drinks were good as you could get alcoholic drinks as part of the deal 👌✌️👍

Not as nice as other Wetherspoons of which we are great fans but this one doesnt make the grade. Service is good but food didnt match up to others and layout isnt very welcoming.

Sat in the centre seating isle, there was a disgusting smell of stale urine, reminiscent of old folks homes. Then I remembered that last week that section was coned off to stop anyone sitting there. Disgusting, it wants a total refurbishment.

It's probably the nicest Spoons out of the ones in the SOT/NUL area. Food was as good as Spoons food can be expected to be- cheap and cheerful. Staff were friendly and service was quick but marked down by a star as the disabled toilets absolutely stunk of stale urine. In hindsight I should have probably mentioned it to the staff as I'm sure it would have been dealt with. The atmosphere was standard Spoons really. Quiet and people keeping to themselves.

Came here first thing on a Sunday morning for breakfast as we were attending an event nearby, the food came out pretty quick however it was only slightly warm as if it had been sat for a bit and the bacon was burnt, was in a rush so wasn't able to speak to staff about it, I wouldn't return if I was staying local again.

I've been barred from a few pubs around alsager, mainly in my 20's, when i was abit antisocial. I havent been barred from anywhere in years but, I'm barred from here and for absolutely no reason at all. None of the staff know why, the manager has it in her head that I have done something wrong. I haven't at all, I'm the most placid person that there is, I really want to know why! If any of the staff could let me know thar would be great! I spend three times more than the £90 suggested below,every time I go in there on the fruit machines, so I guess its doing me no harm, bar embarrassment, it's just abit strange and confusing I guess! X

Been going here since moving to the area, never had any problems at all, I sit by myself some times, sometimes with one friend . Recently , for reasons i have absolutely zero idea, the evening manager has barred me, the past three times I have gone in I get told that I have to leave because I'm barred. I totally wouldn't mind ,except, I have done literally nothing at all. I don't know if she has me confused with somebody else, but yes, get out please. I really want to know why, after asking , none of the staff know and all look at each other in what appears to be confusion. I have pretty bad depression and I live with pretty nasty anxiety and stuff like this really doesn't help. I used to work in a bar and, would always know the reason as to why a customer is barred, its pretty obvious and memorable especially if you were working at the time, but alas. Thinking about it to be fair, some of the staff have been really bad in the past. One time for example, I had put a few hundred pounds in the fruit machine, and managed to drop it for £100 just as it was kicking out time. Instead of letting me withdraw, the female member of staff straight up switched the machine off at the plug and walked off. This was unbelievable in itself, I asked for the staff to save me the cash that would have been ejected upon rebooting the system in the morning, when i rang, they said nothing had come out. Which is not actually possible in any way, i believe anything left in credit gets removed instantly. A member of staff had obviously stolen it. Which is obviously disgraceful. So yea, barred from spoons, for doing nothing, at all, Really fair and can't complain. 👍 x

We had a lovely breakfast but I did find it strange that people were having a pint? Food was lovely though and we did compliment the chef.

Twice we've been for breakfast recently, and twice they've somehow forgotten to add items to our order, resulting in extra cost. Besides this, you can't fault the food and service for the price. You get what you pay for.
