Stumbled across this fantastic wedding outfittersAbsolutely amazing wedding, bridesmaids and christening dresses to look beautiful on your special day at very reasonable prices. Across from this is the men’s suit shop where they seemed to have an amazing range in many styles and colours Then next door we found a shop for beautiful hats, shoes and bags , that can be died to match your outfit. To finish off we saw a mother of the bride/guest outfitters Brilliant idea to take the stress out of your special event Definitely worth a visit as there is a bar/restaurant on site which we need to revisit due to time

The smoked meats are fabulous and we thoroughly enjoyed the food, making a welcome change bringing something new to the area. Unfortunately until something is done with the toilets for the village, this may effect restaurant ratings. The gents smells awful and they are not good enough for the high level of food.

Had a meal with friends, menu very good and all 6 were pleased with the meals ordered.Excellent service .Only complaint no draught beer and bottles were a little on the expensive side ,house wine quite good at a reasonable price. This has changed hands and is now an American type steakhouse.

This has recently been refurbished with Texas food & we decided to have lunch while we had been visiting the shopping village. Unfortunately, we wanted a "light meal" but there menu was fantastic & what I liked that they are prepared to "mix & match" to whatever you would like on the menu. Which is quite rare these days. They do really good breakfasts or burgers etc. Despite us not having a meal we would like to make a return visit to sample their menu.

Called for first time yesterday and had a burger and fries, apparently the beef is marinated for 12 hours then smoked for 12 hours , absolutely delicious.

You better not have a food allergy if you go there, they have no understanding of gluten free. It's oK as a pub, but food wise leaves a lot to be desired.

This tea room has been going for many years and has always turned out standard but good food. It is not the cheapest but good value, they do breakfast and lunch and are very friendly.

We went today (Fathers Day) for a breakfast, but that was a big mistake. I ordered the "full English" with coffee. So for £7.50 I expected something better than the odd "greasy spoon" place, but I didn't realise I was to be put on a diet suitable for a health farm regime, neither did I expect the old guy in the restaurant, sipping tea/coffee (whatever) was going to get up and go cook it! They do make a fuss about everything being freshly cooked, shame about the cook.Well, what exactly do you get for your £7.50?One sausage, it may have been hand made, but the filling was definitely less than specialOne fried eggTwo small rashers of baconOne small mushroom, sliced and fried until rigidTHREE slices(!) of tomatoTwo slices of toast, but not with butter, a "healthy option" dairy spread - real butter is 25p more! This place was one both my wife and I enjoyed visiting, but no more.

We had a really lovely meal here, I had belly pork which was cooked perfectly.Staff were very friendly only issue I had was that service was quite slow and the restaurant because it's so small can get very very very hot when busy.

We arrived at 4.01pm and asked if we could have a salad. We were duly informed that the kitchen closes at 4pm. Whilst we understand that there has to be a time to stop service we felt that this was rather draconian. There was only one other table taken so maybe they need to review the customer experience and welcome trade more.

Love this place for it's "out of time" atmosphere but they really don't believe in rushing an order. While I accept it is prepared to order I must question how long it takes to butter some bread slap in a filling and chuck in a bit of salad. Will keep going back for the unintentional comedy the place provides.

Just returned from here having booked for afternoon tea as a treat for my mother on mothers day. There were 3 of us, ample amount of afternoon tea, peaceful surroundings, and very yummy food. Would definitely visit again and also very happy to recommend. Staff were polite and helpful. And also as a lovely gesture my mother got a card and a sweetie. Thank you very much for our enjoyable visit

We called in here on the way back from the Barbour shop last Thursday. We saw the notice for "Tea and scones for two" for £6.90 and decided to partake. (Having been advised that at 4:20 they would only serve scones or tea cakes). We ordered a de-caff tea and an English breakfast tea and were advised that it would cost an additional 70p... only later did we see that de-caff was only 35p dearer.... strange! The teas were delivered and the scones followed, nice enough but obviously warmed in a microwave as they were soft on the outside, not crisp. There were two other couples there at the time but it was definitely not a warm and welcoming place... this could be that it was late-ish (they close at 5pm) ... but not sure.In summary OK but I won't rush back .

A step back to the times when you expect to have a cup of tea in a China cup. Nice tea pot with a cosy on to keep the tea warm. The afternoon tea is very nice. Home made scones cream and jam .. Lovely. The cakes are to die for . Good portion. Coffee cake great varied menus to suit most tastes. All customers are treated with respect. And likewise customers treat the staff with respect. This is not a fast food outlet .it's how afternoon teas should be served. The coffee is very good. Well worth the visit.

Called in on a wet cold day and headed for the table right by the wood burner. Shame no comfy chairs just to sit and have coffee at, only wicker set by the door. Ok in summer I guess. Friendly lady serving and coffee good. Large room which has space for a little comfort. Based in the little craft village.

A lovely place for breakfast with family and friends.Regular place to meet family for a brunch get together.Full English breakfast includes tea or coffee, orange juice and toast with marmalade ☺All made freshly and served with a smile. We have recommended this place to friends , it is a nice run out and there is a beauty salon in the building if you want to book a leisurely morning with the girls , nails and late breakfast a treat indeed .Near to Trentham Gardens and Bridgemere , but I like it , nice and far less crowded for meals en route or on the way back. You could book and pre order food , we waited about 25 m8ns for 5 breakfasts , but all were cooked from scratch and lovely local bacon and sausage .Recommended ☺

Took my 2 grown up daughters and my dear mum for an afternoon at Slaters village for her birthday. Went for some lunch in the tearoom and we had a lovely lunch followed by cream scones and a pot of tea. Service was good, table nicely laid out with tablecloths, all the food was freshly cooked and the scones were still warm! Very enjoyable lunch had by all, shall definitely visit again!

Visited here today Easter Monday for lunch. Arrived, ordered and prepaid according to the receipt at 13.46 but waited until 14.56 before our main order was brought to us. (Drinks had long since been finished meaning we needed more). My wife enquired politely 15minutes before food was brought only to be told our order was being prepared. The waitress came with the food: we complained then she asked if we wanted to speak to the manager. We said we did then she promptly whisked the food away. The manageress arrived with our food and was very defensive and verging on rude/aggressive with her apology asking us 'Do you really want this food?' She gave excuses that she had not anticipated the demand for the afternoon teas and that even with six staff they could not meet the orders. I stated that such a wait was unaccpetable and unreasonable whatever the cicumstances when we had only order soup, a ham sandwich and a bowl of chips. (I will say that the food was good once it arrived.)We were offered a drink and cake to follow our meal. We ordered tea through her. Twenty minutes later I went to the counter to enquire after the tea and order cakes only to find the tea had not been ordered. I asked the waitress for it to be served as soon as they could but it still took ten minutes.

Visited here a few years ago and kinda forgot about it. It's in a little (as the signs say) craft village. But I think this has kinda gone and replaced with more wedding shops than anything. But lovely to see all the units used. But in the middle of this is a very lovely tea room, friendly clean and inviting. Good range of meals and to be honest great value prices. We opted for cream tea for 2 and my partner had tea with coffee cake. Plenty of tea and hot water for at least 2 cups each. Cake was lovely and fresh and scones warmed fresh with plenty of jam and cream. We would definitely be back now we remembered it. The only bad remark is they had the same song on repeat - magic moments

We have visited the Tea Rooms on many occasions, and always been delighted. The staff are very friendly and the food is good too. on our last visit we had our little dog with us and sat outside the tea rooms. The waitress bought a bowl of fresh water for him and made him feel very welcome ! We enjoyed our afternoon tea and will definitely visit again.

Our intentions were to go to another local Wether spoons but this is closed for renovations. Sat at a unclean sticky table as we had no choice. Had to literally ask where are my Crisps as staff too busy dancing about to pay any attention! Then we received the wrong ones but would of waited ages to get proper ones. Staff spilt a shot over my Dad which they will be billed for if the stains don't come out. Food well Dad enjoyed his but my food was cold. Disgusting they had no Mayo at all and the Tomato sauce was rebottled. Chips were that hard I had to soak them in Vinegar to make them edible. Day light robbery for a bit of cheese. Won't come to this Spoons again and went to another after so to keep our sanity. Never again.

Met up with some friends for some drinks. All casks were on and tasted great. A few in watching the sports on the TV. Also had a impromptu burger which was not shy on all the trimmings.

Stunning old pub in the centre of Newcastle-under-Lyme. It had a decent atmosphere, even at 2pm on a Tuesday afternoon, with friendly staff and a coal and wood fire at opposite ends in huge, traditional fireplaces. It's a Joules brewery pub, with Pale, Blonde, Slumbering Monk, and their lager - all of which are well priced and pleasant. Bear in mind it is cash only, though Lloyds Bank has cash points 30 second down the ginnel opposite.
