The best restaurants serving British food in West Midlands

Awful experience and car park staff are rude and obnoxious. Will not be flying from here again.

Our intentions were to go to another local Wether spoons but this is closed for renovations. Sat at a unclean sticky table as we had no choice. Had to literally ask where are my Crisps as staff too busy dancing about to pay any attention! Then we received the wrong ones but would of waited ages to get proper ones. Staff spilt a shot over my Dad which they will be billed for if the stains don't come out. Food well Dad enjoyed his but my food was cold. Disgusting they had no Mayo at all and the Tomato sauce was rebottled. Chips were that hard I had to soak them in Vinegar to make them edible. Day light robbery for a bit of cheese. Won't come to this Spoons again and went to another after so to keep our sanity. Never again.

I went to have waffle with my friends and the staff was so nice friendly lovely specially the Rhiaa ,Komal and soukayna .They treat with lots of respect and love and food was so good delicious and the cookie explosion waffle loved it ❤️

Lovely period pub. 600 years old with log fires and a wood fired pizza oven. Great place to bring the family or your partner for date night.

Lovely meal as always. The wine and dine menu is excellent value. Jodie did an excellent job of keeping the cocktails flowing. Judging by my head the next day maybe a bit too well 🤣

Food is not so good. Burgers are awful, dry, and overcooked burnt meat. Slow service.

Number 399 I enjoyed a thoroughly enjoyable meal from the time-limited game menu. My starter was an interesting contrast of pan fried pheasant, crispy pancetta, salads, and blue cheese. My main was pâté-topped Venison Rossini on ciabatta with greens, very interestingly prepared roast potatoes and a port source. Heavenly. The standard menu is a great selection, too, although I was lucky to have the game menu option on this visit.

Monday evening visit, not too busy yet still had good atmosphere. Received a genuine warm welcome from the staff. Menu choices of starters garlic mushrooms, chicken strips and pork belly bites, all enjoyed. Mains of steak x2, pork belly and mushroom ales pics x 2. All tasty and enjoyed (would say mushroom ales although tasty need more filling). Pear frangipan and salted caramel sundae enjoyed to round off the evening.

We celebrated my parents 60th wedding anniversary here last night and I was very impressed with the service we received. We had a side room to ourselves for 20 people, we all had a main meal, which was brought out quickly and was piping hot and very good. The steak pie was delicious). The staff were friendly and attentive and the whole evening ran smoothly due to this. Thank you to the staff for making it so special.

Really nice meal (30th Oct) and great value when comparing with other offerings around. The highlight though was what I can only describe as an exemplary display of professionalism, friendliness and customer courteousness shown to us by Amy. Thank you to all at the Elms

Dropped in for a quick drink whilst walking the dog at the weekend. The staff couldn't do enough, dog bowls, blankets and treats provided for free. Couldn't fault the beer or service, will definitely be returning!

Terrible! Messaged privately to sort out problems but read and not replied! Ordered 2 loaded chicken fries, after 50 mins, 1 arrived, no cutlery, no explanation as to why 1 missing. Had to ask for cutlery and second meal, 20 mins later 2nd 1 arrived. Horrible chicken fatty thigh, could not eat, did not eat and explained to staff, they were not bothered. Will never go again

It was my sisters 18th birthday and they were super welcoming and made her evening special thank you so much they were very friendly and we super willing to make are experience memorable

Came to the bonfire night event and myself and my husband had a lovely time. The whole evening was great and I would recommend it to friends to go to.
