We popped in for a bite to eat Saturday afternoon and enjoyed our visit. Friendly welcome, good service and decent pub food. There is a car park at the rear and a good sized outdoor area.

The carvery on Sunday evening last sitting was really lovely. Meat was tender, the cauliflower cheese the cauliflower was hard and the toasties were not crispy. As it was the last sitting some places wind down meat and vegetables. Everything was fully stocked and quite big portion sizes. It is reasonably priced. Staff were really helpful and friendly. I would go back.

This is such a lovely pub. I found it on Trip advisor as we haven't been out in the area and we wanted to try something different and It's rare to find a proper pub that hasn't been turned into a swanky overpriced wine bar type of place. This is a perfect place to get a really great wholesome and decent priced dinner that caters to everybody both with or without children. It has a small play area if you do and a menu that caters to families, but the menu has all the favourites that you would hope to find on a pub menu. I had the garlic & mushroom chicken supreme and my SO had the hunters chicken and they both arrived in good time but not too fast that they were "plastic" ping it dinners. We were both very impressed and full as an egg and the staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back as there was plenty to choose from and I'd happily bring more family here as the atmosphere was chilled and welcoming.

Nice pub unfortunately options were very limited, a lot of food items ordered were not available but no one mentioned this when order was placed. One third or all meals were unavailable, lack of beer too. Most disappointing was lack of healthy food options no salads or anything like that.

Loved the menu. It catered for all tastes. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the fish and chips and the Brie and cranberry wellington. All very reasonable priced. The pub itself has lots of lovely character. There was a lovely big beer garden with a lovely children’s play area. We were just passing through, which is a shame as I wished it was our local.

This place seems to get better and better, food was amazing staff very friendly and helpful, will definately try the carvery next time as looked out of this world and seemed very popular

This pub is an absolute gem. The Bulls Head’s menu is very interesting along with the usual meals they also have a few very interesting meals. Go to the website and browse through, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. I had Europa Chicken, cooked to perfection and very tasty, my husband had chicken fajitas, never seen so much chicken pieces on a sizzler fajita, once again cooked to perfection. If you are looking for fast food, this is not for you, all meals are freshly cooked and worth the wait. We are going back with our friends who have never been here before can’t wait for another tasty meal. Manager and all staff very helpful and friendly. Please give the Bulls Head a go, we did and loved it!!!!!

We went for a family birthday and it was our 1st time there. An unassuming place outside but a pleasant surprise inside with a nice rear garden at the rear with kids play area. It was very busy but the bar service was quick and prices reasonable. We ordered food and although there was 7 of it arrived within 20 minutes. We had a variety from mixed grill to curry and each meal excellent,well cooked and very tasty. It was our 1st visit but it won't be our last.

We come here often, in midweek they do 2 meals for £15, there is a good choice, I had Cumberland sausage and my wife had lasagne both excellent, the staff are very friendly and it is a nice pub. Large carpark. Well worth a visit

Won’t be going back. Food was okay but nothing special. Veg of the day were tinned peas and huge carrot chunks! Staff not on the ball. Charged £14.95 for a bottle of alcohol free Prosecco which is £3 in Sainsburys. Feel ripped off and disappointed.

Booked this for my daughter’s birthday. Arrived and was told we were up the back. They had put us on 2 tables so went back down to the bar to say can you put us all together please he said no we havnt got anywhere. I said what about that table there of 10 and we can have another chair at the end. He wasn’t happy and rudely said you should have been told you might not be together when you booked.. I said well I wasn’t. He marched past me and walked up the back to where some of my family had sat down and abruptly said you’re moving he then picked up a chair and literally chucked it at the table I had suggested. He then went back behind the bar and was obviously moaning to all the other staff who were all looking round at our table. He didn’t bring the extra cutlery that was required we had to ask when the food arrived. In hindsight we should have left there and then but didn’t as it was my daughter’s birthday. I have never in my life been treated in this way by anyone. Absolutely disgusting 😡

Looking for somewhere to eat on a busy Friday evening. Got a table easily and bo big queues at bar! Lovely menu....we had king prawn fajitas.....lovely tasty...filling and great price point!

Came with friends for the Christmas menu prawn cocktail starter was poor no choice of bread was given brown not good when I don't eat brown bread carvery was cold roast potatoes over cooked no mac n cheese or cauliflower cheese but was on the menu cheese board was the only saving grace

I had quite an amazing time here my family was greeted by this gorgeous little Irish girl and she made sure we were all happy had a joke and was never not smiling I haven’t seen service like hers in a long time fantastic with all customers and I witnessed her giving personal attention to staff who needed help honestly I might be back again food was amazing my rump was perfect.

Sorry had another bad experience a woman in front of me tried to order two courses only to be told if she ordered the two courses together they would arrive together or she wud have to queue up separately to order the different courses so they are not only serving tinned potatoes as new potatoes and instant mash as mashed potatoes now if you want a three course meal it's all going to arrive at the same time sorry when you first took over the pub food and service was good now its a joke

There is a cheap lunch menu Monday to Friday for £7.50 each if there are two of you, plus a more elaborate and expensive menu. Very friendly service. Order at the bar with your table number. Tasty food and nice wine. Nice old-world pub ambience

When the pub was took over from previous owners you could really tell they tried to make a difference and turn place around... Now there is absolutely no atmosphere. You are just meant to eat and go... No socialising and just overall unwelcoming feeling. Plus the food quality on lunch menu.... I get that is cheap but instead of compromising on it just raise your prices a bit and serve something that is edible. Kids chips ..burned and soaked in oil. Had to pour a load of oil out of my lasagne before I started eating it. Just going to point out we have been coming here regularly for years but the atmosphere is not welcoming at all any more ( so different to when they first took over )

Met up with family for drinks. We only stayed for one. Bar staff did not have a clue! They poured the pint of Guinness last so waited ages for that to settle, the coke was flat, they poured the pint of lager 3/4 way full and had to ask for it to be topped up. Toilets were not very clean, toilet roll on the floor, floor was wet and alot of cobwebs.

Called in for lunch, the staff were friendly and helpful, it was quite busy which is a good sign, there was a 2 meal for £15 deal which was very reasonable, I had hunters chicken and my wife had a lasagne both excellent, nice atmosphere, definitely come again

I’m no chef, but when eating out I’d expect to be served something better than what I can dish up. Not so here. Pie of the day, should have said which day as I’m sure it might have been better a few days before. Pastry needed hammer and chisel to break. The balti filling was however ok, not sure bisto type gravy went with it. About a dozen chips and cold veg, which was one carrot round halved, 2 yes 2 green beans and some shreds of cabbage, wow!!Others in the party fared better, but you can only speak as you find. Service was slow with more kids running the show. My first and last meal there, even if the cooker and oven break, very very poor.

This was the worst meal I have ever had and left most of it . Complained and was not charged . Only good thing was the young lady who served us , very polite and efficient.

This place has gone massively downhill. Visited a few times in the last few months but now given up. The staff seem to have no idea what is going on, no consistency or clarity on the process and wander around looking confused. They also spend more time chatting in the kitchen or behind the bar with customers left feeling like they are in the way or an annoyance when they do ask for something. This place needs a shake up and quickly, too many better pubs have gone out of business in the last 2 years

Poor experience from start to end. Staff were inattentive and didn’t seem to have a clue what to do - one menu given to us as a table of 7. Took over half an hour to take our order even though there was only 2 other tables eating in the entire pub……maybe this was an indication of how bad the pub is!Mains were delivered however 2 of our chicken meals ordered were overcooked almost to the point of being inedible. I’m not a chef but would have been embarrassed to send the dishes out to paying customers. Deserts took another 30 mins to arrive (we were now the only table eating in the pub) without cutlery - when this was requested the waitress seemed confused that spoons would be required to eat ice cream!In total a 2 course meal took 2 and a half hours end to end….this may not be too bad in a busy restaurant but we were one of only 3 tables ! We explained our disappointed at the end of the meal to the waitress who simply said ‘ok’ before walking away. Whole experience spoilt our family meal and I would recommend anyone thinking of eating here to go elsewhere. Bang average food, unacceptable service.

Great food and service today at the bulls head. Very attentive staff, and everything ran very smoothly.We sat outside in the sunshine and had a number of items from the menu delivered quickly to,the table.Couldn’t fault the food, we had Mac & cheese, onion rings, haloumi fries, nachos etc and it was all delicious.It’s tough out there are the moment and hats off to them for putting a good team together. It’s going to,take a long time for hospitality to recover, and this will only happen if we are supportive and understanding.

We booked a family meal arrived and sat outside tables didn’t look clean in fact the whole outside area didn’t feel clean / had to go inside and ask for menus it wasn’t busy when we arrived - seemed to take a while to get the drinks we ordered food which I must say didn’t take long but was disappointed for the price we paid certainly not worth the money - as for dessert no menu they hadn’t got any printed off! Said we wouldn’t bother / no one asked if we had checked in via Covid app etc…. Just felt a bit lax - don’t think we would return

Please don’t waste your money here, I understand that pubs may be struggling after covid but the meal I had here was beyond a joke. Seven tapas dishes ordered to pick at and all but one was frozen party food from a cheap super market store I can only assume. Genuinely haven’t had food so bad in eating out in the past 30 years of pub grub. After asking the polite lady why they were serving poor frozen party food the answer I received was “the dishes were not all frozen party food the chicken tapas dish was prepared today” and the others? No answer. laughable one out of seven dishes was not took out of a multi freezer pack! I feel sorry for whoever has to take over this place to get a decent reputation back. I can only assume the main menu is better but then again I won’t be going back to try it, if the chef is older then 18 in this place I’d be surprised and if he/she is serious in wanting to be a chef, do yourself a favour please and learn your trade elsewhere as my 7 year old son can turn an oven on and open a packet to cook.Children’s food wasn’t great and they took one bite of the chicken and left it, £80 spent on drinks and food with a refund of £14 now it’s off to home to cook for 2 hungry boys and a late bedtime, Thanks won’t be back.
