Been here a few times with colleagues/friends for lunch or evening drinks. It's popular and busy. Generally tables are set up for small groups of up to 4 people and it's not the most convenient for larger parties, e.g. 6 in our case. Tables are a little small, cramped together and awkwardly arranged with some very tall ones in the centre, so it's potluck and last time we had to sit near a draughty doorway. There are two entrances with many doors. Service and ordering using the app is very good, fast and friendly. Prices are reasonable too, about £10 for a small meal and drink. On one occasion one of the meals was on the cool side but my very 'English' colleague decided not to complain, but some of the meals are very good. The ramen bowl is a good massive meal and we couldn't finish it. The mixed grill was substantial too. The cauliflower curry is a great choice for veggies. There's no loud music so you can chat easily.

Apart from the toilets being on the same floor, which is amazing its a Standard spoons what more needs saying!!

One of the cleanest and tidyest Spoons I've been in. Friendly and hard working staff.

Stopped in around 2 pm. Busy but tables available. Easy to order, extensive menu. Ordered the afternoon savers with soft drinks. Very good value. Liked that they offered substitution as I'm allergic to eggs, got myself a second sausage instead.

What you expect, good prices, and good food for the price. Not "fine dining" but for a group meet up its ideal, and the App makes service very easy.

Instant microwaved meals but surprisingly good and cheap. Service was fair, and the atmosphere was lacking. A beautiful and tasteful renovation of a historical build makes the experience.

Bit loud, busy as always but good meeting spot

Not the most architecturally interesting 'Spoon's and decoration getting tired but still has all the things we love about them. Tim, there are many nicer buildings in the town centre crying out for your team's love.

Staff are always friendly here. At the end of the day it's a Wetherspoons...you know what you're getting. Food is always good at a good price and lots of choice for vegetarians. Pub is clean but needs a bit of updating - especially to ladies toilets.

Ordered lunch my friend ordered an 8" pizza ,when our order arrived ,we both said that his pizza looked quite large ,he just cut into it ,when the waitress came over and said he had the wrong pizza ,and took the one he cut back and gave him his 8" ,we were both taken aback it was busy and we felt terrible, we won't be back , the waitress should know the difference between an 8" and an 11" lol

Customer service was excellent. First time I've ever had anyone come over to check that everything was fine in a wetherspoons. Tables constantly cleaned, food and drinks arrive in a timely manner and food was actually enjoyable.

Been using the Rupert Brooke Weatherspoons in Rugby for some years but over the last 12 months it's going down Hill The last 4 days they have had no Stowford Press cider available When i asked why I was told somebody cleaned the lines out wrong ? Also the lack of options on Real Ales is getting worse & Regularly the bitters are all cloudy Someone needs to get a grip of this place.

First time here. Fairly typical large Wetherspoon. Light and airy and very busy, but it was Saturday evening.

My favourite 'spoons ! We go there a couple of times a week. The staff are really friendly, and there's a particularly nice vibe as well. The layout is a bit different to many Wetherspoons, it's a converted cattle market I think ? ... and best of all...the toilets are on the ground floor !

Brilliant Staff! On two occasions recently I inadvertently left items of my property in the premises. On both occasions the staff kept my property safe. I've been using the Rupert Brooke for lunch during the school holidays. I recommend it. This Spoons is still dishing up good food at a budget price.

Tables and menus all a bit sticky with some sort of sauce. My pizza was a bit overdone which is unusual, a bit dry but I still ate it!

cold beer, cold burger. For a 10£ burger, we expect at least a hot meal.Lets hope that was a glitch only ...this time.

Prompt service, lovely staff, clean and cosy.

Went to breakfast for my 14 year old birthday request. We know what we are going to get. Traditional breakfast. Refills etc. My one gripe is I wish parents would make sure your kids aren't running around being nuisances. Staff kept asking the children to go back to the seats. Finally had to ask the parents to control their children.

We call in for a breakfast quite often and always good food and quick service. All at a very good price, big plus for me is the free refill for tea & coffee. Nothing negative about the place.

Brought my grandad here for a beer and some food a few days ago. I had a Mixed Grill and he had Ham, Egg and Chips. Food was great value for money and the drinks were again great value. Staff were nice and polite and it was a decent atmosphere.

A nice and light Wetherspoons with plenty of good seating as well as outdoor seating. Toilets are kept clean. Food was decent and consistent with both visits. The heatwave burger has a good kick. Probably one of the better Wetherspoons I have visited

Staff were extremely rude, terrible customer service. Felt unwelcome as a POC. They need to do better.

Typical of Spoons. Everything is good value for money. The food was exactly as expected, and the service was fast and courteous.

After having a wonder around thought I would stop here and have some lunch. Good size plenty of tables even an outside area. It was busy so a bit of a wait at the bar to get served didn't seem to have the staff. On the plus side the food arrived quickly an American burger a few chips and a pint

Coming from south London I was blown away at the prices. Cheap but not cheap, the place is wonderful and very clean only the drinks are cheap.

Came here for a belated birthday meal with family, and the service was very exceptional and the staff were very kind to us. Food was wonderful as well so compliments to the chefs and the ice cold drinks were spot on after a very hot day out. Overall I look forward to coming back again!

Your standard Whetherspoons but when it's busy the service is shocking. Several tables were uncleared, so had to sit at one with plates and several glasses. It took maybe 30 minutes before anyone cleared our table, and only because we had ordered dessert was I able to ask the waitress if she could clear the table for us. When I asked if she could take the plates, she glared at me. The last patrons had put the menus and ketchup bottle on their dirty plates and when i asked the waitress to clear the plates, after giving me a dirty look, she snatched the menus and ketchup bottles off the plates, chucked them aggressively infront of my parents and huffed away. Usually when I come here the staff are just fine, your typical Whetherspoons staff who are just there doing their job. But this one waitress was extremely rude and off-putting.

Honestly Brittany and her team could not have been more accommodating to my son and I. We had suffered a serious blowout which had stranded us in rugby for the night. We were desperate for a proper meal at a poor time at the establishment, despite this they stretched their timings to suit our need above all else. We were very grateful of their consideration, kindness and compassion.

A lovely spoons, polite staff, nice decor and you don't have to take supplies to go to the loo.

We had an Awesome breakfast and Coffee. Service was above par and the place was clean and neat. We will deffinatly be back next time we come to England to visit our family

We go to our nearest when back home from stressful times. Food is reasonably priced. Sometimes not as good as others. Veggie options limited. Staff ok. Can be busy.

Came here for a pint or two and it’s just typical of any other Weatherspoons I have ever been in throughout the uk, plenty of choice of drinks and food (although I didn’t eat here) filled with the same usual characters seen throughout the uk…

Only been the once, first impressions very good

Typical Wetherspoons, good value beer & food, light airy atmosphere, worth a visit, though usual Wetherspoons customer type, so you know what to expect! Real Ale selection not always that good, but food always good and served hot, not always true of some Wetherspoons!

All round bad experience for x 6 adults. I popped in before everyone else and inquired if able to bring a dog in. Told not inside, so we sat outside on the car park. All made orders then staff member rudely came out to say dog not allowed on the premises at all despite order made for 6 meals and being outside and dog laid down so not a great start. (But we sorted the dog by popping him in the car) We went on to have food. American burger was the smallest burger in the world.. two bites and gone. Only a handful of reheated chips and overall lacking any flavour to warranty 4 more stars. It was all Meh ! Staff continued the be rude after attempting to explain the food of which no resolution provided all while a manager was on a break and merely sent out staff to deal with our complaints. We will never be returning again. The worst WS I have ever experienced.

First time visiting this place, slightly off of the beaten track from the city centre. What can i say really?, it is what it is, its your typical no frills Wetherspoons pub. I thought it was ok, i went there with my daughter, had a drink and some hot food, so only in there for about an hour or so. With two entrances/exits, its a decent size inside, an has its own outside garden built within the pub an there is also some tables and chairs outside, so many options on where you may choose to eat/drink. The service was good with staff seeing to what i ordered efficiently.

Ignored by bar staff 9am on Sunday, what a joke...went somewhere else.

Went in at 1 with friends and daughter for drinks. The girls decided to sit at other table and wanted hot chocolate.. As the went up the commandant went over and told them the can't use it as they are under 16. My wife went to get the drinks for them and the commandant told her it was policy.. But not in a pleasant way. The commandant made the 12 year old girls feel uncomfortable by glaring at them at every opportunity till they left. And went and ate elsewhere. I didn't go and have word with her as the two children didn't want to make a scene. We didn't bother eating and decided to go elsewhere too. The men's toilet urinals and flooring soaked in urine and everyone stepping in it and walking into carpet in main pub.. Lovely.. Thank you commandant for making our trip to wetherspoons miserable and our next venue was far far better.

Another typical Weatherspoons. Standard food, but cheap. Great breakfast, though loving the wraps. The cheapest beer around but staff interaction is minimal, and knowledge of beer not that's good.

Got order wrong and when the food did come out mixed grill meat was tough as old boots!!! Go Tim 👌

Typical Spoons that needs a refresh

I liked everything! The food was a lot...but tasty! It was on Easter, in the morning around 10:30!

Took a while to get served at the bar. We only had a hot drink and sadly, the coffee was watery and a bit tasteless. The last few spoons we've been in have been the same. Had a cup of tea instead, which was lovely. Still good value though.

Stopped off for a quick lunch with my daughter. Usual wetherspoon menu. Good points toilets are on the ground floor 👏.

A typical mid size Spoons where they’ve managed to accommodate the toilets downstairs 👍🏻. Plenty of cask ales to choose from but I fancy one of the reasonably priced craft cans - well worth checking out as many have a regional bias - the one I’m on is from Byatt’s Brewery of Coventry.

Always served very quick, you can refill your cup of tea/coffee but not pints I'm afraid. The place is Big and open. Would recommend.

Always busy but pretty spacious and the location is great. Service is always super slow, and there have been times where the chicken wasn't properly cooked. On a different occasion we didn't get all our orders for breakfast in time and they kept taking our plates away until they finally sorted it. And the last time we went we found a small pebble in one of the burgers.. never again

This has got to be one of the worst burgers I have had. Top bun burnt, magnifying glass needed for the sauce and onions. The chips however were delicious. Would not order again. Service was adequate and I did not tell the waitress I was unhappy as the meal was only £4 and we had come in late. My friend was happy with her meal.

Awful food, cold or overcooked on both occasions I've been in. Wont be going in a third time. The staff can be abrupt and look extremely unhappy! I haven't got much good feedback.
