Lime Tree Restaurant in Stratford-on-Avon

Utilizando un cupón dado como regalo, disfrutamos del té de la tarde en la temporada festiva navideña. La mesa estaba muy bien colocada y el té de la tarde abundante (uno entre dos). Fuimos bien atendidos por el personal muy atento. En general, una experiencia encantadora por la tarde.

No voy a entrar en detalles simplemente porque la lista es demasiado larga. Todo lo que puedo decir es comida más cara, mal servicio y definitivamente no con una sonrisa. Nunca volverá.

Mala experiencia. Fui a almorzar en familia el domingo. Mala comida, aficionado al servicio, los paninis eran palos franceses. El hongo Stroganoff era champiñones en salsa. Arroz duro. Salchicha y cebolla caramelizada tan dulce que no era comestible. ¡Evita!

Como dos obsesivos del fútbol dados a largas charlas sobre el juego, naturalmente hemos hecho de la mesa 66 nuestra litera preferida. An excellent experience. A varied menu, with a wide range of choices and the food was faultless. The service was very efficient and the cleanliness of the restaurant was impeccable. Would highly recommend a visit.

I stopped by today (17 Jan '14), by myself, for a cuppa following a shopping visit in Stratford. Having sat down on the comfy lounge chair in the corner of the restaurant, I was greeted by a friendly waitress offering me the lunch menu. I ordered my pot of tea for one, which I was pleased to manage two cups out of, and although only intending to stop for that one cuppa, having been told that the soup of the day was carrot and sweet potato, served with a crusty roll, I decided to treat myself. The soup was served, as the tea, in very attractive crockery (Villeroy & Boch-esq). However, I was disappointed with the 'crusty roll' served with it. It was neither crusty, or warm, more like a bought-in, part-baked option you could pick up from any supermarket. Moreover, I was disappointed by the butter portion served, being more like something you would be served at a Little Chef. Given the attention to detail with the crockery, I'd have expected the same level of attention to detail with the bread and butter.On to the soup itself... This tasted very bland, as if all seasoning had been omitted. It did taste very pleasant, once I'd added a fair amount of salt, and copious amounts of cracked black pepper.All in all, I would return. However I would suggest ignoring the website description, and visiting when you pass, rather than going out of your way for a special occasion. I know I only had the soup, so maybe take this with the pinch of salt. The exact pinch of salt that the chef left out of the soup...
