I wont go into detail simply because the list is to long. All i can say is food over priced, poor service and definitely not with a smile. Will never go back.

Bad experience. Went for family lunch on Sunday. Food poor, service amateur, Paninis were French sticks. Mushroom Stroganoff was mushrooms in gravy. Rice hard. Sausage and caramelised onion so sweet it was inedible. Avoid!

As two football obsessives given to long chats about the game, we have naturally made table 66 our berth of choice. Alas, on this birthday visit we had to forgo the hallowed numbers as the table was already occupied on a busy Sunday afternoon. Pitching up at match ball-size table 62 for our de rigueur coffees and cakes, we were a bit squeezed for space. Quickly noticing our awkward formation, our server kindly cleared the way for us to move to what felt like the Wembley of cafe tables. She also noticed my companion was moving a bit gingerly as she helped us upgrade to what felt like an executive box at the Bernabeu. The special treatment helped make this birthday a feast of coffee-table punditry, aided by the premier refreshments. We ordered two cappuccinos and a scone with cream and jam to share, plus two glasses of tap water, with the bill coming to £12. The tray was delivered smoothly by our most thoughtful server, even though she was expediting at a peak time of day. Free-flowing conversation spanning Stratford Town's ace winger to the price of non-league beer soon followed.

An excellent experience. A varied menu, with a wide range of choices and the food was faultless. The service was very efficient and the cleanliness of the restaurant was impeccable. Would highly recommend a visit.

Visited for breakfast with the family on a lovely spring day. The 'full' English doesn't come with beans, tomato or mushrooms but you can pay nearly two quid per item to get them as additional items. The sausages were okay, the bacon pretty good and everything else was very average. The scrambled eggs, however, literally tasted like rubber shavings. Definitely one to avoid. You'd be better off at a greasy spoon.

I stopped by today (17 Jan '14), by myself, for a cuppa following a shopping visit in Stratford. Having sat down on the comfy lounge chair in the corner of the restaurant, I was greeted by a friendly waitress offering me the lunch menu. I ordered my pot of tea for one, which I was pleased to manage two cups out of, and although only intending to stop for that one cuppa, having been told that the soup of the day was carrot and sweet potato, served with a crusty roll, I decided to treat myself. The soup was served, as the tea, in very attractive crockery (Villeroy & Boch-esq). However, I was disappointed with the 'crusty roll' served with it. It was neither crusty, or warm, more like a bought-in, part-baked option you could pick up from any supermarket. Moreover, I was disappointed by the butter portion served, being more like something you would be served at a Little Chef. Given the attention to detail with the crockery, I'd have expected the same level of attention to detail with the bread and butter. On to the soup itself... This tasted very bland, as if all seasoning had been omitted. It did taste very pleasant, once I'd added a fair amount of salt, and copious amounts of cracked black pepper. All in all, I would return. However I would suggest ignoring the website description, and visiting when you pass, rather than going out of your way for a special occasion. I know I only had the soup, so maybe take this with the pinch of salt. The exact pinch of salt that the chef left out of the soup...

Superb steak pie meal. Well presented and very tasty. Good selection of food too. Good beer choices. Staff friendly. Large pub but plenty of quiet corners away from football on the tvs

We love this take away and go back time after time. Food is always hot and delicious with lots of meat in it. We wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Big thanks to the restaurant team at the manor, especially Michael, for ensuring a perfectly choreographed family lunch for 18. You couldn't have been more helpful or efficient.

A fascinating pub that we were told was once owned by Henry VIII and given to Catherine of Aragon on their divorce. Then owned by Magdalene College Oxford for hundreds of years. It’s certainly old with flagstone floors, lots of panelling and a no longer accessible secret passageway to the church across the road. Top that with decent beers, a short freshly cooked menu and friendly service
