Visited at 1.30pm, hopeful for a visit to a Xmas nursery with food. Asked for a BLT sandwich and was told they didn’t have any bacon, nothing hot and no lettuce or tomato!!!!! We then ordered a pastie that was tasteless and luke warn (too many staff to have put this right) and least but not least my 9 year old daughter ordered a sausage roll which was in edible. I can not suggest more how disgusting this experience was.

Not the Wedges it used to be , staff grumpy, choice limited, expensive. Parking is available around the rear of the shop.

Their fresh bread is great, but the highlight is their granary bread, which is superb. Sometimes they seem short of serving staff, otherwise I would give it 5*

Saturday 28th May 2022, My husband and I decided to visit ‘Earlswood Garden & Supplies Centre’. My husband and I had not been here for some years. The garden centre had been vastly improved; there selection of outside trees, plants and shrubs was excellent. They had wonderful displays of fountains, garden furniture, garden pots and statues; they even had summer house and kitchen designers on hand as well as specialist garden lighting. However, they too had an abysmal selection of indoor plants – again does no-one have indoor plants anymore? They have a wonderful coffee shop called ‘Wedges’ serving lunches, snacks and cakes. Wedges coffee shop, also had a wonderful outside seating area with comfy chairs and tables and was a real suntrap. My husband and I were now in need of refreshments, so we looked at the menu and made our choices. My husband had a large slice of apple strudel with a nice pot of Assam tea. I had a large scone filled with jam and cream which was really scrummy and a hazelnut latte. We both sat outside in the sunshine, which was really nice and I found inspiration here as I wrote a poem called ‘Do I or Don’t I?’, which I will leave you guessing about. We spent a nice hour here and left as the garden centre was closing. This place is well worth visiting if you are in the area.

Superb steak pie meal. Well presented and very tasty. Good selection of food too. Good beer choices. Staff friendly. Large pub but plenty of quiet corners away from football on the tvs

We love this take away and go back time after time. Food is always hot and delicious with lots of meat in it. We wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Big thanks to the restaurant team at the manor, especially Michael, for ensuring a perfectly choreographed family lunch for 18. You couldn't have been more helpful or efficient.

A fascinating pub that we were told was once owned by Henry VIII and given to Catherine of Aragon on their divorce. Then owned by Magdalene College Oxford for hundreds of years. It’s certainly old with flagstone floors, lots of panelling and a no longer accessible secret passageway to the church across the road. Top that with decent beers, a short freshly cooked menu and friendly service
